The service here is absolutely amazing!!! I went in and bought more than I expected because the employee knew what she was talking about and the location was fully stocked and ready for business! I found everything I was looking for and what I never knew I needed! I got informed about a special discount and that suits me just fine! Thanks to Andrea for the stellar customer service! She has a pleasant demeanor and was highly attentive and informative. She made me feel welcomed and appreciated! The transaction was smooth and easy and I left wanting to come back to this particular location because not all Michael's are created equal.. lol the one on Firestone Blvd. is terrible!!! because of lack luster customer service and restocking issues that last way too long for a store of this caliber. Nonetheless this location vindicates the other because of the friendly customer service and their excellent selection and availability of the products! Thank you I will be back very soon!

Adrian did a superb job framing my large print!

Adrian in the framing department needs a raise! This review is specifically for the frame department at this location. Adrian went above and beyond on my large picture. He removed a canvas from the frame to replace it with a picture of my mom complete with matte and plexiglass. His work was spot on and so professional looking, he even put a backing and a landscape wire to hand my picture. I can't thank you enough for a great job. May I add this is not the first framing Adrian has done for us. Always a pleasure dealing with someone that exemplifies excellent customer service and integrity in his work. Lastly, all this was done with a smile! I definitely recommend him to hook you up for your next framing order!

This is the place that makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. This Michaels location is located at the Downey Promenade. They have a plethora of craft, office, kids, and baking items. I was stuck in the scrapbooking and journaling section for a while. What I love about Michaels are their 40% off coupons (almost weekly), 20% off your entire purchase coupons (pretty frequently), frequent sales on everything in general, and the value items near the register like $1 coloring books. What I don't like about Michaels is that they charge an arm and a leg for shipping to Hawaii. Overall, a great Michaels location. Customer service was great. Friendly cashier. The only complaint I had is that the restroom was filthy. Toilet paper was almost out, and the hand dryers were a joke. No power and very little heat. Anyway, you don't go to Michaels for the restroom so, craft supply-wise...great! Will have to stop in every mainland trip as we don't have one in Hawaii.

Story first. My mom's church had a fire so they have been using the auditorium/dining area for their Church gatherings. Someone suggested putting some flowers for the Facebook live sermon . You know fancy place up a bit. My mom came home with two urn . Oh this is exact the kind of project I love getting myself into. Here's the thing in design they teach you to decorate starting with the things you can't change from the room . Right off the back we are dealing with green /blue curtains and rust bricks. OK so I have my color scheme . Here's the thing that people don't really understand when it comes to synthetic flowers they are not cheap. Well not the good ones at least . The eye-catching flowers that you want to use can be $6To $20 each . Now that's just talking about flowers forget about all the other stuff you're gonna need like the foam the moss and the filler greenery. This little project easily came out to about $160 for both urn . I'm not gonna lie it did hurt me to buy one flower for that much money . I'm gonna say $25 of that money went to a dollar store for the bottom flowers and I'm OK with that . I'm 50% fancy and 50% sensible. I'll get a deal where I can get one , but I do love quality ! That is why I love Michael's !! Remember to pre-download your coupon before entering the store . Sometimes the Internet doesn't work in The store. With the coupons I saved $58 and I love that !!!! Five star for Michaels

Bad service and poor communication…read more I've been trying to catalogue my MTG collection lately. I drove 40 min to get to this shop because they have a machine that scans your cards. I paid the shop to rent the machine and waited for 2 hours. Then the staff told me "We made a mistake setting this up. We can't give you the scanned info, but leave your cards behind and your email address, and we can send them over. You'll just need to scan this thing we send you." I was uncomfortable leaving my cards behind because they're important to me. But I didn't want to walk away empty-handed. So I decided to trust them and I left my cards behind. I didn't hear anything for 4 days. I had to call them and they said "Oh the employee you were talking to got sick. If you want to pick up your cards you can do that though." I asked "How about scanning my cards?" and they said "We'll message the sick employee and call you back to let you know what he says". I waited 3 more days and they didn't contact me at all. I realized they weren't going to reach out to me to resolve the issue, so I had to drive down to the store to demand my cards back. I don't know who the person running the back of the shop is. Maybe the manager. Maybe the owner. All I knew is that they had context on the whole situation and knew that I had returned to get my cards. They didn't bother to come over to talk to me. They didn't even give me eye contact. They didn't make even a single attempt at improving the situation. Not even an offer for store credit. Not even a sorry. They just shrugged and yelled across the room "machine's broken". Then they went back to puttering around and left another employee to deal with me. This other employee had no context on the situation. All she could do was hand me a cash refund and give me a confused "Sorry...?" I was treated like I was an annoyance. Someone who'd go away eventually if you ignored them. Not a respected customer who just wanted to do business. I'm not mad that the machine was allegedly broken. I'm only slightly mad that the employees aren't trained on how to use the machine. I'm frustrated that I paid for a service and they didn't bother seeing the job through to the end. They didn't communicate when they decided to give up. I trusted them with my personal card collection and they betrayed that trust. I don't even know if I have all my cards back, but I'll never know. Save yourself the stress.

So much to see with lots of options also for crafts. We spotted a section for clearance items where my friend bought plastic water bottles for $1.25 set of 3. So he bought two sets for $2.50. I went to return something and then browsed the isles to pick out some new items for my red, white and blue decor at home. (4th of July is my FAVORITE)!! What.A.Let.Down. A large majority of the items looked like complete trash. Many, MANY things scratched and scuffed up. I don't want to decorate with crappy looking decorations. A couple items were even ripped (see America sign photo). What the heck!? Who in their right mind would think it's ok to stock that on the shelves? I contemplated taking these items to someone but it would have likely filled the bulk of the cart. I wish I would have taken more pictures but you can see how bad just the few were that I took. Do better, Hobby Lobby. I really hope management sees this.

I brought my son here on a mission for Pokémon cards, and it was a "mission accomplished" situation within five minutes. They had everything he was looking for, plus a few things he didn't know he needed until he saw them. The staff is super chill and doesn't judge you for being an adult obsessed with shiny cardboard, which is a massive plus. The only catch is the parking, which is basically a mini-quest. You have to drive down a side street, park in the back like you're making a secret hand-off, and then trek around to the front entrance on the main street. At first I couldn't find the shop, the address sent me to the other side where there's a pharmacy - if you find the pharmacy you're in the right area, just go in the alley to the backside. They don't have big signage out their front door so it may be hard to find and it might look "closed" but if it's normal hours then you're probably in luck! The prices are somewhat reasonable - some singles and sealed products are at a decent price while some are just trying to match the market. But I get it, the shop needs to make money too. It sucks for the normal consumer/collector as we take the hit for the market prices. There seems to be a lot of singles to pick up - there's a good selection of cards on display and, if you ask, they have more binders with other singles that may not be as popular.
