I'll admit, service hasn't been the greatest in the last year or two, than the previous years of shopping there. It's rare that I've gotten a "hello! can I help you with anything today?" The last time I asked for help, the girl I had asked, did the absolute minimum in effort to actually assist my needs (which was simply to be pointed in the right direction for an item I knew they carried). This was a pretty cool Arts and Crafts store. I'd never been into a Michaels before, or any crafts store for that matter, so I have no way to compare this one to what it should be. However, they had tons of cool things for arts and/or crafts as well as home decorating. They actually had lots of nautical and ocean type stuff for the home, which is great because that's the theme of my house. Didn't go there for that... But definitely left there with some lol. Placed an online order. Arrived after receiving a text message that my order was ready. Staff was not helpful. Manager was no where to be found when employees kept paging him for help. There was several customers with the same issue. We all received messages that our orders were ready and upon arrival non of the orders had been fulfilled. I had to leave after I needed to tend to family matters. When I called to speak to the manager. He was rude, not helpful, did not offer to solve the issue I encountered in store. Placed a call to corporate where they refunded my money after I chose to never do business again with Michaels and cancel the order. Please be aware of this locations horrible customer service and look elsewhere for your craft needs. read more

I went there to look for art supplies yesterday. I was really surprised that not only they have so many art supplies but they also carry so many crafts and house decors. If I had a child, I would come here a lot to look for crafts we can make together. I've done some research to see the price range for art supplies on Amazon before coming here. I feel the stuff they have are cheaper than the ones online. I found 2 PC canvas set for $10.99 and it was buy one get one free! It was the best deal I've seen ever! Michaels... simply, my guilty pleasure. My fiance hates when I drag him through a Michaels because I can easily spend an hour or two going through every isle then coming up with some brilliant idea for a new craft and have to go back through every. single. isle. There are some major pros and cons to this Michaels though. I love that this Michaels is bigger than the Westside location and offers a larger selection of just about everything, but the store is constantly a mess. Prices are amazing and they accept coupons (always check their website before you check out), but more often than not, they have the wrong price on items so we have to go through the whole hoopla of waiting for a price check or two. There's tons of employees, but none of them want to help you... sometimes I feel like they're hiding from me. I prefer the Michaels on the Westside because I don't run in to most of these problems, but when there's something very specific that they might be out of, I book it over to this Michaels and they always come through. read more

We took a large, oddly shaped puzzle to be framed to this store about 3 weeks ago. Julie was very helpful and nice and she gave us quite the deal for that large of a frame. Today we picked it up and it is wonderfully put together. Ms Pamela was nice and assisted us this morning. While the frame shop was awesome, I was a little disappointed in their usual sales. Yarn is too expensive and there are really no good deals. But that's not the store's fault, that's corporate. Highly recommend if you have something to frame. read more

The worst. Every time I've gone there in the last year, there's no one to help, the staff acts unconcerned and the lines are always long and it takes over half and hour to get through. Management needs to train the employees better and probably hire a few more people. Heading to Hobby Lobby from now on. read more

On a few occasions I have seen management interact with customers and once with an employee and these managers are mean and have such a superior attitude. The store is always short on the things I am looking for, I guess they are allowed to order one or two items of each. I love clearance/discontinued finds, but this store will have a broken mirror and think it is a steal if I got it for 50% off the regular price. The feel in this store is so thick, it just makes my shopping here ugly and dirty. There is a Hobby Lobby right off the I-10, go there! Employees are trained by good management and the store is always clean. Not all Michaels are like this, I've been to many across the country. This one by far is the worst. read more

I went in to pick up a few coloring books and kids crafts for my little sister who's coming to visit soon. Didn't take long for me to have a ridiculous amount of stuff... As I checked out the cashier was so friendly, and even helped me with a coupon that saved me money! I should also mention another employee offered any assistance if I needed it, always a plus! For the love of God, please clean those restrooms. They are disgusting. The sinks are covered in mildew. There is no toilet paper or soap. The paper towel dispenser is broken. The floors are covered in muck and mysterious splatter. Need I go on? read more

Well stocked and clean. For a small store on a Saturday afternoon I didnt feel cramped. I have it only two stars because the bathrooms are horrific. There seems to be mildew on the walls. Only one sink worked. The toilets were gross, there were stains all over but they could have been prevented. If I could have found an employee I would have told someone. read more

I ended up in Michaels after my trip to Hobby Lobby. Reading the reviews I'm glad I didn't step foot in the bathroom! BUT I did find that canvas was MUCH cheaper here than what I had literally just spent at Hobby Lobby. Also they didn't have a HUGE selection but they did have smash books and K&C products which made me very excited! I bought quite a few things. When I got in line to wait I saw many things that I may also need for scrap booking or some of my other crafts. I saw a hot glue gun and was quickly reminded that I had thrown my old one out so of course I purchased the new one and so glad it was at the front of the store or I would have had to go back at a later date to purchase one. The lady checking me out was extremely friendly and offered that I sign up via email to receive coupons (which of course I did)! I will be back and purchasing my canvas from here from now on! Four stars, one less of five because of the bathroom reviews. I'm scared to even walk in them! read more

Employees are very nice and helpful when trying to find everything. I love buying all of my holiday decorations from here and organizational supplies. They don't always have enough of what i need (small bead organizer kits) so I took off one star off for having to keep coming back to see if they have more in. Overall I would rather come to Michaels then Hobby Lobby. read more
