My trip to Michael's was for picture frames. I recently bought 3 prints, that needed frames. I found some beautiful frames with mats. There was a sale that if I bought 3 I would get 60% off! What a deal. I'm thrilled on the discount on these heavy and sturdy, beautiful frames. I saw some great Halloween decorations that I might go back for. This is my first time ever being in a Michaels since there's none in Hawaii. The parking is great & had no issues with it. Upon walking in, it's very peaceful & employees were ready to help you. So, I was just in front of this store about an hour ago to return a couple items that I bought yesterday. I walked into a locked door. There was an employee that informed me they were closed. I said it isn't 9pm yet. She said we're closed and turned her back on me. When I asked for the manager she ignored me. She also ignored me when I asked for her name. It was incredibly rude. I will be filing a complaint with the corporate office. This is the 2nd time I have been treated rudely by staff when I'm in the store at closing time. But it is the first time I've been kept from coming in when the door clearly states they are open until 9pm. I'm including the pictures and details of the photo to show the time stamp. Keep in mind this was taken after we spoke and I had to get my phone out and change the settings to show the location. Still very clearly not 9pm. I am very disappointed. read more

No !! No one is allowed to use the restroom. There are ways to make restrooms available to all customers and maintain safety and security. Now you have to do self check out . Everything cost more and now we have to do somebody's job because Michaels doesn't want to pay a real person. What's next ? Will we have to go in the back or warehouse and find what we want No thanks !! The only 2 employees I saw in Michaels were very kind and apologized for the inconvenience. Overall service ok. Nothing special but after i finished checking out i noticed a 40% off advertised coupon with a barcode at every register! I asked the cashier and she said I would have to have pullit up on my phone. Why don't you ask customers before you finalize the transaction, if they want to use their coupons?! This Michaels was very busy and poorly ran. It was unorganized, product everywhere, understaffed, and getting in and out took the most amount of time. It took me 15 minutes to get into the store and 20 minutes to check out. The only reason I gave it three stars is because the staff members I did come in contact with were all very kind, super helpful, and sweet. They made up for what the entire store was lacking. I was being overly generous considering we're in the middle of a pandemic and it was the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if they were managing the staff on the light side so they could keep more customers in the store due to the capacity limitations or if they were purely shortstaffed due to it being a holiday weekend but either way it was very apparent that there was not enough staff in the building. read more

Pretty average for a store of it's kind. It's what you would come to expect from a Michaels. While we were there over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and I understand it was probably a zoo earlier in the day and even the day before but it didn't seem like it was as orderly as it could have been. People do suck and don't care if they drop something or knock things over, so it's to expected but I would hope they could spend more time cleaning up after them. Otherwise, I would recommend, especially in the Federal Way area, being the only craft store worth shopping at in Federal Way! read more

This review is for the curb side pick up. My only complaint really is that it took them a long time to fill my order that I placed at 3pm on Sunday. I under stand that things have been hectic but next time I will just go in the store aisle numbers are listed on the website when you look something up. Horrible lady cashier customer service night of Jan 4th. Did not greet me as I approached her counter. During transaction, her attention was somewhere behind her when I attempted small talk about my coupon. She scanned it. Asked her if coupon went through ..."Huh??" She asks..... (again..her attention was not on me..what IS she looking at? Store is empty) and she processed order. It didnt go through. Told me I needed to buy $1.50 more product (like THAT ever is an issue for me at a craft store..ha!) And we'd have to do a return.. Told her ok and was about to pick up a candy bar at the counter...when she let out a big siigghh..... I said.. "you know what, too much trouble. " "Are you sure? " she whined.. ... "yeah, it's fine. Have a nice day" ...and of course no response from her. I never had this experience here before, usually it's great selection and long lines. While they have a fairly decent scrap booking section, I think they could have a better selection of cake decorating stuff. Nothing spectacular about this store, but the staff is friendly if you can find them. The lady at the register actually honored a coupon that I had on the cellphone, which was convenient so I didn't have to worry about clipping a coupon! This review is for customer service. My fiancée and I went in to search for marquee letters that we had seen online, and found some that were 60% off. A deal we could not pass up. The only problem was that we were missing three of the letters. Elliot (a manager) was incredibly kind and patient with our request to call around for this out of stock sale item. Not only did he find the rest of the letters at one store so we didn't have to travel all over, but he was such a sweetheart and wished us many times over a hearty congratulations. Zero Customer Service! Spent 2+ hours shopping the store with my friend from out-of-town. After bringing my purchases to the register, the computer system suddenly crashed and ceased to accept credit/debit cards and gift cards. After 15 minutes or so, they figured out a way to override the major cards, but they couldn't accept my gift card (that they had balanced checked when I first walked in) and told me I had to come back later and see if their system was back up. I asked if they could call me and let me know when it was up, but they refused. I was most upset about the fact that they wouldn't go to any great lengths to make me happy or service me and didn't seem to care at all that I was upset, that the trip was out of my way, or that I was going to write a bad review. They didn't seem to care about making money or customer service at all. Will not ever return to this store. read more

I come here often and always find some great deals. The place is pretty organized and the staff is helpful. They have good, reasonable prices and a good selection. I always get good craft ideas just from walking through the aisles. If you are planning a party, you definitely want to stop by and get supplies here. I'm happy this place is close by. The store's decent. It feels a little cluttered because there's little aisle room and everything seems so close together. I've gotten my degrees framed here and they've done a nice job on both of them. They have your basic arts and crafts for any need and party stuff.
