Michaels is one of two stores I go to for arts and craft supplies, framing, or seasonal decoration. Wife shopped her crochet, knitting and crafts supplies here. This location is a full-size store. There is another Michaels 6 miles away in a smaller store on Colonial Blvd. This location is well stocked, and my preferred location. During the holiday season, it is well staffed and you can easily located the items you need! With the holiday discount, the price is very reasonable! Go check it out! read more

Horrible service! Absolutely no one came out with the order. Go inside, stand around waiting rt by the pick up. 10 customers in line with 1 person behind register. No other employees to be seen. Cashier sees me multiple times and just ignores me. I go up to the cashier and ask for help with a pick up order. She asks if mine is the ballon's. I say no. I ask can you call for assistance? She says no! She says there is an employee over on the other side as she is looking to the room across the store. I don't see anyone! I again said there is no one you can call? She says no. Just wow!!! Finally I walk around and find a worker who was able to get my order. No one knew that anyone had requested a curbside pickup order or that anyone was even waiting for a pick up! They are taking their Covid- 19 very seriously. Only 10 people inside. And they have you wait outside until someone comes out, and then you can go in. The wait was just a few minutes. The weather was perfect today, didn't mind waiting outside at all. Some customers are not wearing masks. I happen to be wearing a mask. But my point is, some places will not allow you in unless you are wearing a mask. They do ask that you be respectful of the 6 foot rule. I knew exactly what I needed. A canvas, and 3 paint bottles. I was in and out pretty quick. Store is very clean. And they are moving forward with business. 4th of July items are out and it's a pretty nice feeling that there is hope of a back to normalcy. Michaels sells a variety of arts and crafts products, including scrapbooking, beading, knitting, rubber stamping, home decor items, floral items, kids' crafts, paints, framing, how-to classes, greenery, baking and many seasonal items. You can find weekly coupons online and often many sales in-store. When perusing the aisles, sadly, I don't often see many employees available for assistance. Also, the stores don't seem to follow a similar "planogram" or floor plan, therefore, leaving each store with a different layout. However, the Seasonal displays are always appealing and usually located right at the front of the store. Framing department is very expensive. Furthermore, they recently changed to a new hanging system requiring you to use a " leveler" before hanging your picture. There is no wire on the back of your picture. Instead, You have to measure each side exactly to hang your picture from a nail on each side. It's the stupidest, most inconvenient and ill thought-out hanging system! read more

My recent experience at this South Western Florida Michael's was very uplifting! I was pleasantly surprised to find this establishment right off the US 41, which really made the hunt for treasures inside much more exciting. We were thrilled to start off our day at this particular Michael's. The store is very clean, from the second you walk in! Almost immediately, one of their attendants greet you with a friendly smile, which is very important to me! Our guide, Mircka, showed us exactly where to find our treasures. There are so many different types of arts and crafts that one can choose from, which made the experience a little overwhelming for a few moments. But after collecting my thoughts, I was able to decide on what I wanted to bring home. Each isle nearly organized with everything that an artist and adventurer is looking for. From spools of copper wire, to jewelery making kits, this Michael's had it all. I am thoroughly impressed with the way they handle business. Michaels is great when they have what you're looking for. This expansion is well stocked and laid out nicely. It's spacious and flows evenly around every corner, so you know what you're looking for with out a problem. Staff seemed limited on the day I was there. Usually you have stockers roaming around or people offering help. I had to go to the back of the store to some random department to ask my questions. The reason I'm not doing more than 3 stars is the simple fact I went in with someone on a specific purpose: to look for anything Chanukah related. Sure, the store was brimming with Christmas decorations and do it yourself ideas, but there was absolutely zero items for the Jewish sale. Kwanzaa didn't even have an end cap. It was all Christmas, all around the store. The young lady I found in a back department said that this store won't be selling Chanukah chaza. They didn't have a need for it, but if I drove to the Coconut Point Michaels, I'd have a much better chance of finding something. How much, you may ask? I know I did; I said I didn't want to take the ride down there if they had bupkis. The girl said she didn't know *how* much, but there should be something. Shoulders shrugged, another walk around the store, and off I went to do more errands. I won't let the lack of festive activities stop me from going back to this place, but I'll know in the future they (like a lot of stores) partake in the Christmas spirit only. read more

Just wanted to say that Paul in the framing department is amazing!! He accepted a portrait of The Beatles and recognized right away how much this framing project meant to us - he took so much time and consideration with helping us in selecting a matte and a frame, and even touched base several times to ask questions to make sure it came out beautifully, and it did! He's the best - give this guy a raise!!!!!!! read more

OMG!!! What a nightmare! Took two prints in to be dry mounted and matted. I took a mat with me which had the precise dimensions I wanted. Could the job have been any easier? Well, it was way too difficult for Michaels. First, the employee knocked my print on the floor damaging the edge. She was sorry. Then I was told they would be ready on Monday. Stopped by on Tuesday and was told they would be ready on Wed and would receive a call. No explanation for the delay. No call on Wed. but at 4:00 am on Thursday I received an email congratulating me on the completion of my project and inviting me to pick up my prints. Went to the store. They hadn't been started. They would be ready tomorrow (Friday). Since I was going to be out of town I said I would pick them up on Sunday. On Sunday the prints had been mounted but not on the correct size board. When I pointed this out I was asked if I could purchase some new prints. I said that was not possible since they had been purchased abroad in Sweden and Denmark). Also, the mats were not ready. I would have to come back. The mounted prints would be mounted onto an additional board of the correct size-- not ideal but my only option at that point. Well, I finally got the mounted prints and mats. One mat was the wrong size and I had to trim it. Both mats had defects at one of the inside corners. One print was not mounted on a additional board to make it the correct size as we had discussed. I was given half off but honestly Michaels should have paid me. Six trips to their store and the end product is really shoddy. read more
