You can enter on the left side which is the retail store and if you go to the right by the cashiers they have a whole area set up for games with snacks and drinks. We picked up some D&D Supplies and my husband reminisced about his Magic days with the cashier. Both men at the registers were very nice and asked what games we were into and made recommendations on other mech we might like. Their selection is pretty vast and seems on par price wise with other stores in the area and online. They also had an area you could play test games and we saw people and families of all ages enjoying shopping and testing the games on display. The new store on Wesley Drive is HUGE. It might be a little hard to find but its located on the right corner of the plaza with the Peppermill restaurant, to the side/back of McDonalds. Parking can get a bit nutty and limited on weekends so just keep that in mind.

Good store for board game and TCG enthusiasts…read more Gritty Goblin Games is a well maintained game store that's stocked with wall to wall games. There spacious and clean environment makes navigating and finding what you're looking for easy and the employee working at the time was both informative and patient with my questions. I noticed not only popular board games and pen and paper games, but some kickstater varieties for those looking for something interesting. If you are a trading card game player, GGG has almost every TCG under the sun, from Magic and Pokemon to and Flesh & Blood. They even carry rarer Japanese TCGs such as Digimon, Vanguard, Duel Masters, and One Piece. The one card game I couldn't find was Yugioh, so this store might not be for you if you're a Duelist. Be sure to call ahead to check availability. GGG has a massive playspace used for hosting D&D nights and TCG tournaments. They have a library of board games you can rent so you can play them before deciding to buy them. My biggest critique regarding GGG is the stuffy smell that fills most of the store. I'm not sure if it's bad air circulation or some carpet that's gotten moldy, but there is a pervasive stench that while not crippling, it does distract from the experience. It probably doesn't help that their gaming room is massive, but only has a single doorframe that allows any air to pass in and out of the room. Gritty Goblin Games has excellent gaming variety and helpful employees, but a bad smell (despite otherwise clean environment) prevents me from wanting to shop there for long.

Everything is arranged nicely (marvel, DC and Indy). Was surprised they still had certain issues on the shelf still. There are some older books behind the counter and back issues in the back back but not taken care of too well. So if that's what you're looking for it's your LCS.

It's a roomy store, compared to a lot of comic shops, with a lot of recent series, if not the most…read morerecent issues of those series. Their margins must be tight, as they open at 10 AM on Wednesday, and some titles are sold out by 11:30. So, they appear to be under ordering, so as not to have to potentially sit on stock. Not too long ago, they changed their policy where they wouldn't be ordering variant covers unless you specifically pre-ordered them. Sure, that's their prerogative, but many variants are open-order, not requiring any minimums on the part of the retailer, so it just seems...odd. The service...This is my biggest gripe. Often, I've gone into the store to find the cashier talking to a friend/acquaintance. A customer might want assistance, and the cashier is visibly annoyed that he has to stop his conversation to provide customer service. Then, once the customer checked out and left, the cashier would turn to his friend and say something like "That's the guy I was telling you about", with a laugh. So, they seem to joke about their customers - the people keeping them in business - and it just feels unprofessional. I've worked retail, so I get it, but those aren't conversations to gold loudly, as other customers are in the store. I mean, what are they saying about ME when I leave? This has happened more than once, while some of the other loud topics of discussion aren't always appropriate for "polite company". The most friendly employee, sadly, passed away recently, so we're left with the ones talking behind our backs.

So they will charge over 400% markup because some sucker will pay for it. I'm autistic and disabled and magic is a big part of my life for 32 years so when I see things like this especially from a wpn store it really doesn't sit right you guys are supposed to support the community not empty its pockets. I've made a list of all the stores and been in contact with wizards and Hasbro and they are also looking into the wpn stores and the exploit with the tech people. I'm a journalist and one that f the first Magic players I will always fight for what is right. You guys make it unattainable for people like me and it's sickening. Like I understand things will go up but to straight up just go for the throat is wrong. Magic used to be about community, friends and family the past 8 years all I see is people who only care about money and what they can get from others. You guys are pushing people away from magic along with wizards and Hasbro for allowing all this to happen.

We all agreed prior to the event that we would work together and split the profit three ways when it sold. The sheet was stored at Tournament City Games for the time being. Three years later I wake up to a facebook post of the same, one of a kind, sheet being listed for sale by a guy named Landon Artherholt. After some digging I learn that they sold the sheet out of the public eye to avoid giving us a cut. When nick made his distaste about the situation known they messaged him privately and paid him (sounds a lot like hush money) to try to stop the noise around the situation, yet nothing has been said to me. I've known the owners of tournament city games for years so none of this surprises me. The talks of not giving me my cut began shortly after we won the sheet because Robert had put in more tickets towards it than I did. I do think it's worth noting that the reason for this is that I actually competed in side events to earn my portion of the tickets whereas he (against Konami policy) purchased his tickets from participants at the event. This same shop now hosts regionals in the Frederick, MD area. TL:DR Tournament City Games in Frederick robbed me and then bribed someone else to keep quiet
