They are very unorganized and short staffed. Trying to get yarn for my granddaughter's blanket that I am working on and they are out. I had somebody help me and she couldn't find any but yet on the computer it said they had some there in stock. There are so many boxes laying around and I almost tripped over one in the way. They really need to hire more people. Heck I wish I could work there and help if I could! lol Come on Michaels please do better! read more

This is a nice store and I went in early on a weekday . I'm all about yarn and related notions so that's what I pay most attention to. They had a nice selection of yarn with colors and brands exclusive to Michaels . It was adequately stocked, but not abundantly so. For example if I got a wild hair to make an Afghan this supply would not be adequate. I could order more online though but I like to make sure it's all the same lot number. Holy craft balls. I've never loved a Michaels so much! This particular location has slowly become my go-to craft store. It's a quick trip on the highway away, there is plenty of parking and there is also other shopping nearby. To top it all off, the staff here is friendly, and the registers never get too backed up, even around the holidays. Also, I've never arrived to find what I was wanting out of stock, which rarely happens anywhere these days. I enjoy Michaels because they always have what I want and if you go on the right day, you can score some major deals. Keep being awesome and I'll keep coming back. The girls working in this place have NO customer service skills. I practically had to beg one to show me where the wreaths were, she was very busy have a conversation with 2 of her coworkers. Then the cashier directed me to self checkout. SHE LITERALLY WASN'T RINGING ANYONE OUT. I explained I had coupons and would rather go to her but she said the computers did it and dismissed me. 5/15/24 around noon. All three girls were terrible. read more

Michaels is a great store not just for craft things. I always find great decor and organization things as well. I did some Christmas shopping here over the weekend and all the holiday stuff is so pretty. I found some great gifts for the little ones and some cool stocking stuffers. If you are a Pinterest fan you will go crazy in this store........at least my wife did. I have to admit that I also got several ideas for "projects" at the house myself. This store is FULL of unique items and no it is not for just the Old lady's who spend all day "scrap booking" We found exactly what we were looking for and ended up here because HOBBY LOBBY was CLOSED on Sunday ......what? Nice clean store with a great staff and a great overall experience! Also, if you are a single guy , you may want to drop in and take a look around ......lots of single ladies in here (lol). Michaels - Something for everyone - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Grove City, Ohio

I went here for the first time today and was really happy with it! The location is in a good part of Grove City; there's a million other stores/restaurants around it so my co-worker and I were able to go to lunch right around the corner since we had limited time. The store itself is clean and organized. I was surprised considering the massive selection of products! My co-worker and I were able to find exactly what we needed quickly enough to get us back to work on time! As far as staff goes..... there were a couple of employees on the sales floor that ignored us when we were obviously looking for something specific. It's not like we didn't find it or anything, it's just the principle of acknowledging a customer. They seemed indifferent. HOWEVER. The older woman behind the counter, our cashier, was amazing! We loved her! She was so outgoing, funny, and kind. The apathetic floor employees are my only complaint and is easily survivable. I'll be back next time I need something close to work. read more

Really weird experience at this location. We came in a half hour before closing, very aware of the amount of time we had to shop. We walk in and see the employees look absolutely miserable to be there. I felt a sense of urgency to speed up my shopping, just to get out of their way. We get our items relatively quick and head to the register. One employee was at a register with other customers, so the grumpy girl at the front opened up another register for us. On top of the counter was a folded up, dirty floor mat. I had big items to check out, so wasn't sure where to even put them. She ended up hand scanning all of our items. No bag was offered so I wasn't sure if she thought we were carrying out items out or what? As she's waiting for us to pay, she yells to her coworker across the way how badly she wants to go home. She then looks to us and says this location is closing...okkk. her coworker says, "no we're not!". And she responds with, "yes, it's closing forever." I'm not sure what the point of saying this to me and my husband was, whether it was true or not. It made for a very awkward experience. Definitely think michaels is overpriced anyway, so I'll be making the drive to Joann in the future, for a less awkward craft store visit. read more

The store is big and the selection is decent. I actually found some pretty cool items here. The customer service could use some work. I visited on 11/26/14 with a friend. When we were waiting in line to cash out, the cashier was rude and snippy with my friend. She became visibly irritated by my friend putting her items on the counter. She put her hands up and said, "could you just wait?" There was no reason for it as far as I could tell. The customer in front of us had already paid, her items were bagged and her receipt was printing. It was as if the cashier just didn't want to acknowledge the next customer until the previous one was gone. When she finally did begin ringing up my friend, she complained about a display that someone else had set up right in front of their "please wait here" sign by the registers. So basically, instead of her walking 5 feet away and moving the display to reveal the sign she would rather just bark commands at first time customers who know nothing of the sign's existence. Great employee. I will definitely shop here again but hopefully next time I will have a better experience than I did during my first visit. read more

As with alot of people at this time of year, I'm trying to construct my Halloween costume. I decided to go to the Michael's in Grove City because I knew it would be bigger than the one on Brice Road, and hopefully cheaper prices than hobby lobby. I walked in and the first thing that hits me is, how crowded everything looks. They have quite a bit of space in there, which gets lost because of the store set up. The middle section is all devoted to floral/seasonal, and everything you could need is jammed in there. For some reason there were plenty of carts standing in aisle ways with products in them but no customers. I needed help finding a particular item that they were sure to have and everytime I saw a store associate they hustled past me without making eye contact. Really? Geeze. I guess I'll just stick with the stores closer to my house then. read more

This MIchaels is sufficient for my needs. If they carry it, it's usually in stock and I can find what I need. Like others, I'm not thrilled with customer service. No one has been rude to me, it's the little things at check out which if there are more than a few people in line, plan to wait a while. The cashiers are easily distracted by other things, answering the phone and not getting in any hurry, answering walk up questions from customers too good to stand in line or to ask someone out on the floor, helping customers find coupons on their phone. And since finding their coupons on a phone is generally a pain, it takes way too long. If you need a Michaels, you'll find what you need but it can sometimes be frustrating getting through the line. read more

I went to find a new craft! I was interested in jewelry making. When I finally found someone to help me, I was asked to wait a minute. Then when they came to "help" they simply pointed to the isle and said you should find what you need there. I thought Michaels was a place where a crafter could get some instruction on that craft?
