    House Special

In a sea of franchised cookie cutter pizza takeouts, I love finding a place like Michael's. It's atmosphere is homey, the pizza crust is absolutely beautiful and they are open late enough to grab takeout for a super tardy dinner. We had the house special: Pepperoni, mushroom, beef, ham, green peppers, onions and shrimp. Shrimp? Yes shrimp! The ingredients comes stacked like in a deep dish pizza, but the crust is light and crunchy. Delicious!

I loved the crust here. Its nice and fluffy and crunchy. So company got this pizza and yes they deliver. Nice and generous on the cheese. Have to say definitely one of the better pizza I have had. Loved their Hawaiian pizza - lots of pinapple !

I was really hungry while yelping today and after my stint last night at VIN; I woke up at noon with no inspiration to cook so I decided to call Michael's. When researching Yelp pages (thank you Yelp) this seemed to be the most loved pizza place. After yesterday's snow spill, going out to get cash was not an attractive option so I was relieved to find that Michaels takes credit card orders on the phone plus delivery in the downtown area is free. So incredibly happy, I ordered the small house special at 12.75. This has pepperoni, mushrooms, ham, green peppers, tomatoes and feta cheese. MP also had two of my favourite dessert treats, baklava and Nanaimo bars. Man what a great lunch I will have, all for a grand total of $16. 30 minutes passed and as promised I got a knock on my door, the box seemed small but I was super hungry. I measured the pizza, a grand total of 8 inches but the most impressive feature is that it was 1 inch tall. MP is not shy about loading your pizza and first bite was so amazingly good. I was really impressed, thick, crunchy, tons of feta but not overwhelming. After 3 slices I must admit I am already stuffed. Like other yelpers I love Michael's pizza and will definitely order from them again.

This is the Kim special. Pepperoni on top of the cheese black olives and fresh tomatoes

Just bought my first pizza at Michaels and it was one of the best pizza's I've ever eaten. I ordered the All Meat and it was incredible.

I am a pizza lover and I usually don't like thick, Chicago style pizza - but Michael's changed my view.

We cozied up to the bar given there was a wait for a table, but honestly I preferred it. We got the 4-maggi, a carafe of the house Sauvignon blanc, and the simple garden salad that was anything but simple. Our waiter was attentive and quick with we needed (shoutout to the chili oil made in house and side of chili flakes), which was amazing given he was making some pretty intense looking cocktails.

Unfortunately, found both pizzas to be a little too greasy. Also wished it was crunchier instead of floppy. The beltline was just okay. Not that flavourful or unique and the meat was very hard/overcooked. The veggie pizza (my usual order at pizza places) was such a flavour bomb that it really surprised my partner, who is a very big meat eater. Every topping on the veggie pizza was flavourful enough to stand on its own to top a single topping pizza. Tried half with hot honey and half with the ranch, we both preferred the ranch. Overall, we found the pizzas expensive but might go back to try other items or the take out slices they offer during lunch time (11-4pm, 2 slices for $8) I also wanted to try their chocolate chip cookie, but the $10 price tag didn't seem worth it.

It cost him $82 for two medium pizzas. One was pepperoni with the same amount of pepperoni you get at Costco. And the other was the mother of dragons which was delicious but at the same time it wasn't a stacked with meat as at the party. And no medium pizza is worth $40, unless it was truly stocked and it wasn't. We would've been much better to go to Boston Pizza or anywhere for that matter! Blaze pizza is amazing and it wouldn't have cost near that much money. I just feel like crying for my son who was just trying to do something nice for us. If you do order never ever ever order from Uber eats! Order from Paul's. That was stacked meat. I honestly could cry for my son. For him to waste that much money that he worked hard for. Edit the manager called me and is giving a large pizza to try again. Please do not ever order the pizza from Uber Eats because it's grossly overpriced. Also don't order the pepperoni because it's not the stacked meat the way that the other pizzas are. I do appreciate her calling though and making that right that is truly wonderful service.

Not my thing on pizza and I just didn't catch it as a topping but it may be a local thing? Not sure. Not bad...just not my thing. This is an incredibly mixed bag. I'll start with the negatives so I can end with the good stuff…read more As someone else mentioned, the wings are on the smaller side, but 15 for around $14 isn't a bad deal these days and frankly I'd prefer more smaller than less bigger. Personal preference, but obviously not everyone will agree with that. The bigger issue is that they are breaded. The pictures on the website make it look like they are traditional chicken wings, they definitely aren't and there is quite a bit of breading on them. This matters for a few reasons. The first is unless you are talking boneless "wings" a traditional chicken wing is unbreaded. If you serve a dish that is prepared in a non-traditional manner you should probably footnote that. The next issue is caused by the first. When you have a breaded wing that is then spun the breading gets soggy and you essentially end up with a chicken sponge. When your restaurant only functions as a takeout/delivery location that sogginess gets compounded by the breading taking on moisture from the steam. Hot soggy mess. The good? Well the Extra Hot sauce is actually extra hot! Which is great! Most places their hot tastes like ketchup and their "extra hot" tastes like ketchup that was stored near a bottle of Franks Hot Sauce. The sauce was well flavored and a great heat level. Other thing, their blue cheese is just so-so, but their garlic dipping sauce is outstanding. It almost reminds me of the garlic sauce that schwarma places serve. The lady working there was also really nice.
