    Autumn has arrived!

I'm such an artsy dork that I get excited in this store. Michaels is a brilliantly laid out and well organized one stop shop for all of your craft needs. From festive seasonal and holiday decorations to sophisticated office supplies and organizational needs, you'll find it at Michaels. The sales and coupon offerings are incredibly generous. Especially if you're framing or buying frames. Seriously, sign up for their emails and you won't be disappointed. I bought my wedding bouquet at this store. They have elegant arrangements for bridal parties but I found a beautiful white rose and pearl bouquet in the floral aisle for about $17. I wrapped the stems in an ivory satin ribbon for about 80 cents. Not bad considering most florists quoted me well over a hundred bucks for something I planned on tossing into a crowd after holding for 20 minutes. More often you'll find me raiding the scrapbooking sections. I love their gorgeous stock paper, glittery accessories and fun stickers. I'm completely amateur at this, too, which makes Michaels so great. You don't have to be an expert to find your inspiration here.

They have always been waiting for my pickup with a warm hello and a smile. Never had to wait to pick up the balloons.

This store is located in the plaza with Simply Pho, Grand Hacienda, and Keke's Breakfast cafe. It is clean and has a lot of different sections. There is a cafe with drinks/pastries like most others. The employees there were nice and efficient. I got a slice of Pumpkin Cheesecake after missing out last year due to Hurricane Milton. It was $7 and average sized. 9/10 There aren't many negatives. I liked the floor plan of the previous store more. It was more open and spacious. This one feels a bit more "compartmentalized" Outside of the cafe area, there aren't too many sitting areas. There are a few chairs placed throughout the store. The store is in a large plaza with ample parking. Overall: Good to see the Carrolwood have a replacement so soon!

I found a book I liked and the lady working there recommended. She also went to the back and got me the sequel which was not yet set out. I got a coupon for $1 off a drink at checkout so I got a chai latte from the cafe. It was delicious and the service was wonderful and the barista even gave me another $1 off coupon! Great place to hang out and work or read!

I have been going to HoH since my Grandma used to take me to their original Clearwater location on South Ft. Harrison, when I was a little kid. I miss that place so bad. It was great fun to see the owner have to use a step-stool to climb over that cluttered counter to get to his seat behind the cash register! A family business, still going strong for decades, that guy with the white crew cut is "Bob," the owner... ...and Bob has more information about ANY retro hobby than you can imagine! His selection of old and new plastic model kits is the stuff of legend. I have brought out-of-town friends here just to browse for kicks, and they always leave finding something of pure wonder! While not my passion, Bob is also the guy to go to if you are into ANY radio-controlled sort of hobbies whatsoever! Car, plane, boat, etc... He is an RC expert! HoH's inventory is vast and impressive. But if you can't find it here, just ask Bob and he will gladly order it for you! I wish more parents would encourage their kids to put down the video game controllers, and build a plastic model kit. An afternoon of glue and paint can be FAR more rewarding than just silly and hollow, temporary pixels on a screen. How much more rewarding? Actually, I now run a small side-business, making and selling my own sort of "model kit" related art objects. While he may never know his impact, Bob the owner here, is one of my main influences that introduced me to the joy of building and painting objects with my own two hands! So please give HoH a visit! In our modern "video game" era, this sort of place has become almost extinct, and that is a real shame indeed...
