What happen, this place look like a storm hit it. Stuff all over the isles, obstacles everywhere.

    At local grocery: $9.99. At Ollie's I paid...wait for it.... $1.69!

I received a 15 percent off entire purchase coupon in the mail, and since I was in the area and wanted a few items, I stopped in. I believe this store is closing. Many shelves are either half stocked or totally removed. The items I wanted to purchase are totally gone. I even asked the clerk at Check Out if the store is closing. She replied that she hopes not as she was recently hired. (If she shopped here a year ago, she would've known just how much their inventory has shrunk.) But, I did find an eight-ounce bag of an unusual brand of coffee for only $1.69 to try. So, this visit was not a total loss. If you're thinking of checking out Ollie's better hurry as their inventory is shrinking.

Lots of Transformers Generations Titans Return Slugslinger toys . It was $8 compared to Walmart's $15 from December 2017.

Ollie's is basically a supercharged Big lots. They sell a wide variety of items ranging from toys, toiletries, snacks, vacuums, luggage and all are at severely reduced prices compared to mainstream dept stores. I have visited twice and have bought some snacks/toiletries. The layout is quite large and generally clean. However, many items are always changing location within their section. On my first time, the Transformers were in the toy section, then the next tine they were on a cart close to the register. The nature of this being a discounter is that the stock tends to be older and sells quickly with a small chance of getting the exact item you want. That being said, their toy section doesnt look like King Kong and Godzilla had "relations" like Ross/TJMaxx et al Occasionally, they will have some super expensive Transformer like TR Trypticon for $40 (MSRP $150). While I seem to miss out on those crazy deals, they are present. (Check TFW2005 for news of those events) While this location is a bit far from me, if I lived closer I would come in frequently for certain nick nacks.

The name says it all "Bargain Outlet". This is a giant discount store with items from appliances, car care, books, toiletries, cookware, food, animal care, etc. This was my first visit to just browse on my lunch break. Probably not a place I'd make as my ideal stop because even though the prices are good on certain things, they aren't that much cheaper. I could get a portable heater for my desk, for example, from here for the same price as Amazon. Keep in mind though that if you join Ollie's rewards program that you get the occasional coupons and a 15% off the first time you sign up.

Came in the day after grand opening. I can see myself coming back for certain things. I'd say this place is a cross between Big Lots and Old Time Pottery. The best thing I think they sell here are remnant rugs and rug pads. If you ever need to change out a room's carpet a remnant is the least expensive way to go and here you can get one at a fraction of what you would at Bob's...where I got one for my son's room when we bought our home a few months back. Too bad this wasn't around. Since all the items are closeouts it's hit or miss on whether you're getting a good deal. It's worth a browse if you have time. I bought a bissell hand vac for $10. I have a month to return it but I have yet to take it out of the box...we'll see.

Not much of anything is a bargain. Tide was $6.55 but was $5.45 at Walmart. They also have a 1% surcharge for using a credit card.

What's funny is we were just at Goodwill so I saw a glass jar that was similar to one I found at Goodwill, it was $8 at Goodwill and $34 there. However, that was the only piece I found at Goodwill, whereas here there were so many beautiful pieces. You really can't compare the two, so I'll stop here, but I just wanted to make that clear. I've been into helping the environment recently, so I want to buy secondhand pieces when I can. We were looking for a vase. I ended up finding a gorgeous shell shaped vase. They actually had two, but one had a crack on one side, which is why it was discounted by $50. I decided to go for the non cracked one, which was $140. I think this is reasonable for the quality and it's a statement piece. I saw tons of other items that I loved. There was a standing desk for around $350 and a lot of benches and tables all in the couple of hundred dollar range. Again, not cheap, but definitely less expensive than they probably were when they were new. The guy working there was really nice and helpful. Parking was easy on both sides of the building. They pack this place full of such beautiful finds. I will definitely be back.

When I was here last time they signed me up for the rewards program where they send you discounts on your Birthday & some holidays etc., Anyhoo, it was recently moi birthday & they sent me a 15% off discount for moi Birthday! yay!!! :)) Last time I was here I got so many cool things for moi new home. I keep getting lots of compliments on everything I have purchased here. When I was here last, I saw a pot i liked a lot, but I thought it was way too small for the price. I came back to get some other things & a second Bee rug & saw the pot was still here so I got it this time. I was able to use moi 15% Birthday discount so it was a much better value. I love shopping here, the garden center is moi fave & the rewards program is an absolute awesome bonus. Highly Recommend.

I went in expecting something a little more elevated, maybe even a little more unique, something that justified all that visual hype. Instead, the second I walked in, I had instant déjà vu. It felt like I had just walked into Pottery Barn and West Elm at the same time. Same look, same layout, same safe choices. You could swap the store signs and I genuinely don't think anyone would notice. After a few minutes, it stops feeling like browsing and starts feeling like you're looping the same store over and over again. It is still nice to walk through, I will give it that, but this is your reminder not to believe everything you see online. A lot of this feels like basic furniture dressed up to look amazing, different, and higher end when it really is not. And since this mall operates like a full price only environment, expect to pay two or three times what any of this should realistically cost. It was a great find, and I knew it would get picked up immediately, so I wanted to make sure that they held them for me while I shopped around as they were too big to fit in a cart. I urged the associate to do more than just place a sticky note on it that says "CSS" (customer still shopping) and at minimum take my name if she's unwilling to place behind the 2 ottomans behind the counter like I had requested. She assured me not to worry, and that both will be available to purchase when I go to checkout. Well guess what?! They ended up selling both of the ottomans I had put on hold while I was shopping! The associate didn't even apologize and the manager wasn't willing to lift a finger to make it better. I was so upset I ended up cancelling my transaction for the other items I had shopped for and left. Do NOT trust these associates to actually hold your items, even when you urge them to take more info/action. The least that should've been done was offering a discount on the other products I was planning to purchase (I even asked the manager, and she said "no" and was equally as unapologetic as the associate who was supposed to hold my items). Purely infuriating & dissappointing, will be avoiding returning to this store at all costs.

I decided to stop in at Dwell to see if anything felt like a good fit. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for this time around - though they had plenty of great pieces and they get new items in all the time - but I have to share how wonderful and helpful their team is. Not only is the store well designed and easy to navigate, but while I searched, I was asked by a few team members during my walk around if I needed any help. They weren't pushy and didn't stop me from what I was doing - just gently reminding me they were there if I needed them. Eventually, I realized I could use their help with some design choices I wasn't sure about. They happily walked around and showed me items like what I was looking for, and they were so helpful in honestly replying to my questions about whether certain items would look right with my furniture, which I showed them a photo of. They were honest and weren't just trying to make a sale - letting me know that my hesitation was right and the certain item didn't quite fit. But they showed me some other items that might. Super helpful and I truly appreciate their time and friendly demeanor. Now, to the gem I found along the way! Last holiday season, I badly wanted to purchase this adorable golden bear decor, as it reminded me of the giant golden bears out on Water Street. However, they sold out quickly and had to be purchased as a pair with a second panda decor that I didn't want, so I never purchased it. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to the Interbay Dwell location today and found it! I'm so excited to display it for this holiday season. Once I finish up with my move, I'm excited to go back to Dwell and figure out the finishing touches. And I know the friendly team there will be there to help!
