I was looking to customize some crocs with Angelus paint. When I arrived at this Michaels it was my first time. They guy assisted me with the paint section. Couldn't find the angelus paint so I choose the latter.not a bad experience at all. I received a discount total order was under $12. The employees were very pleasant. They also have crafting classes. I am def planning to visit in the near future.

I have trouble visiting any craft store without my sober sponsor. There were so many awesome items at this store. The focus was on Halloween. There was an employee scanning items in line and handing a card with all of the pricing information to the customer. That saved time once it was my turn at the register.

I love this place. I get great coupons through mail, text, and can even pull up coupons last min while standing in line for discounts.

I find when using coupons their prices are reasonable, but I try not to buy their products at full price!

I was visiting ATL for the weekend and wanted to visit some yarn stores so the Craftivist came up in my research. I saw that they host events for people to come in and work on their fiber arts a few times a week so this sold me on visiting! When I stopped in, I was greeted and there was space for me to sit down. I even got some help on my project. It was so nice to be community with people who love the fiber arts for a little while. I look forward to supporting their business since they also ship!

I recently had a private knitting lesson here…read more The instructor begin with telling me the different types of forms yarn comes in, ie. hanks, skeins and balls along with other information about knitting. After the introduction the instructor picked out a wood circular knitting needle for me. The reason for choosing the wood I was told it would help hold the yarn better for a beginner versus a metal needle. When it came time to choose the yarn I was told to make my choice from a small area. I picked a mustard yarn. The next day I received an invoice from the store because I didn't pay for the items. Silly me. I assumed because I was only allowed to pick out from a certain section that it was included with the lesson that I had paid for. Unfortunately, because the yarn I chose was quite small. It has been difficult as a beginner working with it. There have been a lot of starts and stops which I would expect but more so because of the size of the yarn. I have since learned as a beginner I should have a bulkier yarn. When I left that day, I had not gotten the hang of the cast on, or the knit stitch. Five minutes before the class was to end we had just finished casting on and that didn't leave much time for the knitting since the store was opening. Since taking the class I have been able to get the hang of the cast on and the knit stitch thanks to Sheep and Stitch on YouTube. I think the reason I didn't get the hang of it in the store was because of the teaching style. It just didn't mesh with my learning style. I would definitely recommend the classes to anyone here. Very professional staff. Because the yarn I ended up purchasing isn't good for beginners. I did call the store to see if I could exchange it, but I was told they would not accept it because it had already been wound. The staff was very nice. They were very helpful when customers came in.

I can now knit sweaters with confidence, and they are always there to help me if I mess up. The yarns are best. So much to choose from: Cashmere, alpaca, superwash wool, camel, and cotton and silk for knitting in the summertime -- just to mention a few! So much to choose from. And if I want to knit a furry critter or a doll for a child, the have good quality yarn at a more affordable pricepoint (luxury yarn v. budget). Plus I can count on them to always have the needle size I need to start my project -- not to mention beautiful project bags, tools needed for your project, notions, etc. And for at least the last year, they have expert CROCHET classes! Yes, I did say crochet because it seems like it's the new "in" thing to do! I did take a lesson from their crochet instructor and it was truly a lot of fun! This is by far the best yarn boutique in Georgia! P.S. They have an online shop as well! Something for everyone.

Especially as I'm gravitating toward more natural yarn types. It's a small, cozy, and intimate with a lot of variety of yarn. I like that they have a lot of natural yarns there. Yarn is a magnet for me, so I tend to look for yarn stores, yarn deals and specialty stores. This particular yarn studio popped up on my google maps when I was looking for yarn for a prayer shawl. So I drove 30 minutes there and found some great deals on dyed yarns of cotton and wool varieties. Turns out they offer crochet and knitting classes too. The 2 store owners were very welcoming and gracious in their attentions. I was given personal service and made to feel special. I ended up with Japanese brand yarn - noro that I previously could not afford. It was a wonderful experience. I was told they vary yarns from 4 different individual dye artists.

Not only did they not know the item price that I was buying, but they just randomly made one up, which was absolutely ridiculous for what I was getting. I had to return to talk to the cashier after paying the high price they made up (cashier and girl manager.) They gave me credit back, I had to go myself and find the correct price and make the line again to pay. No apologies for the unprofessional service. Your associates should treat customers better and be more informed and professional.
