Great craft store, and very reasonable frame shop. I waited to review until the shop finished framing some original art I had, and I was completely satisfied with the work. This is kind of the worst Michaels I've ever been to. We just moved here from New Jersey, and I have to say this Michaels has such a limited selection of goods. They have like 3 options for buying markers, all of which are the most expensive kind of markers. They have almost no wooden paintable things, and barely any cool paper or stickers or craft supplies. Mostly, they have picture frames for interior decorating. They also have a few random paperweight type items like golden letter and number statues, random stuff like that. It's also a bit disorganized. I came in for crafts supplies, and instead found random like dollar store cups and stuff. The staff were good, I have no complaints there! I do not give five stars out easily! The service I received was outstanding and went well above good customer service standards. In today's world, I find that there is little to no accountability, loss of the ability to apologize. Things happen, mistakes are made with humans and machines. I was having a poster matted at Michael's, the machine ruined a corner. Not only did Michael's get me a new poster, (It was a Mumford & Sons concert poster) but they gave me an extra special gift to go along with the replacement poster matted. since becoming heavy into donating and making my outside the home causes trying to help others. Spending so much time in a rural area and with rescue and spoiled rotten animals I have been able to get a lot from craft stores to be able to make much needed items for recovery from surgeries and items that can bring comfort. My few causes are different from one another but I can find items for everything here. I also love how they do great deals and mark downs. some days i can come get some neat kids themed fabric to make them pillows and then they have craft kits marked down all the time and with just dollars its so neat all that can be taken to the kids cancer center . Many times just ten dollars has made a trash bag full of small pillows and then five to ten gift bags for the kids. thats just one cause and project the store can help fulfill. After surgery the pillows and drain holders are way way more then they ever should be so its amazing being able to make them for pennies on the dollar and the one $40 they want for one pillow and I could make hundreds very similar. Homemade is not as hard as you think and this is a great place to do anything like that . 4 stars only because most times i want to just stop in for a few Im in there a good while due to the long lines, Iv used the post office drop off they have and that too is a bummer just wanting to send off a package and need to wait in such long lines. read more

Zero stars walked entire store looking for a list of items they used to have front & center (Christmas clearance hanging everywhere in front) found a $30 rolling cart for work wanted to use it on my 50 percent off one 1 item for my birthday coupon but was told after waiting in long line that no coupons would work on my purchase cause it was an every day value item (clearance & half the store wouldn't qualify either) needless to say that's one bday coupon that won't be used no I did not buy the cart wasnt offered anything off or given any suggestion on what might qualify although they supposedly had a big sale... big big big let down & the usual items that draw me to store were not found. read more

Slow service, nice when got to register, was appalled to here cashier tell me we need to take a survey in order for her to get a break, that is very disturbing, everyone deserves a break, people really don't care about surveys anyway. read more

This is a great store. They always have the yarns and craft items I need, and most often at sale prices. Plus, the employees never hesitate to offer to help, and they are very cheerful whenever we shop there. read more

DECPTIVE PRACTICES! This week's ad - 21OCT-27OCT2012 - featured 50% off "ENTIRE STOCK" of open frames. I visited this Waynesboro VA store to purchase one, had an extra 25% off coupon applicable to any frame purchase. Ron, the "Customer Experience Manager" told me the sale did not apply to the frame I brought to the register even though the ad says "ENTIRE STOCK". I advised him the store had advertised this, there were numerous tags hanging which supported it but he refused to give me the frame at 50% off, would only apply the 25% off coupon. We all know these items are grossly overpriced, sales plus coupons are the only way to get a fair deal.I had other items to buy, just left them. I refuse to support any store, anywhere that does not abide by its advertisements and cheats customers. Michaels has not only lost me as a customer; I will be spreading the word with my network of crafters. Ron needs to be schooled in consumer law; this is the kind of bait and switch tactic the Attorney General's office loves hearing about. read more
