Getting in contact with my representative was harder than it should be. They were not very professional to begin with. After placing the order, I hadn't heard anything for over a week. I checked back with my rep because I'm pretty sure they had forgotten we placed the order. Later that night, we got the proof of the order - which tells me that they had forgotten. The whole ordering process took three weeks, not the creation of the order, the actual process. When it was finally proofed, the work was sloppy. It was frustrating to have to check up on the company that is supposed to be providing a service to you. My representative seemed annoyed with getting in contact with me. They automatically changed our delivery status to pick-up, instead of being shipped. What if I wanted to ship out my order our offices out of state? They could have asked. When I went to pick up the order, I opened the door to their facility and just stood there for a few minutes. No one was at the front to greet customers, it wasn't very inviting, it was awkward. When the attendant came out from the back, they acted like I shouldn't be there, not welcoming. They didn't ask how they could help, they just looked at me. We would only order from Press Press Merch again because of the high quality product. If they change how the front of the house operates and the customer service of the sales team, we would consider returning.

The ladies I've encountered at House Mountain have all proven to have endless amounts of patience with my lack of knowledge and never seem bothered by my level of naivety, which is the only reason I'm finally comfortable shopping anywhere in-person. Granted, the assortment in the shop is less than a large, bigger box store. However, I've been really impressed by the volume and quality of their hand-dyed varieties, not to mention that they even carry at least one (maybe more) skein dyed uniquely for this store. You can always ask them if they have any sales running. Sometimes there's a special or two, but remember, quality products cost a bit more and it's important to support small business whenever we can. Regardless, you'll no doubt find at least a few supplies here to be "a cut above the rest." Perhaps their needle collection or their many fingering weights will catch your eye. Somehow they can even tell you about the local dyers; I have found that rather impressive. I wish I lived closer, as I would truly love to take part in their retreats and classes. They have a monthly newsletter with event details, including several summer camps for the kiddos. Ask about their classes the next time you stop by. The ladies I've seen in and around the store have all been delightful. It seems to be a town of fiber lovers!
