Dr. Lance is a lifesaver! I have an autoimmune, have been in some car accidents in the past, and deal with chronic pain. Dr. Lance's chiropractic adjustments help me to be able to move and enjoy life more. The pre-game of either massage chair, rolling table, or wobble seat helps remove tension from my muscles before each adjustment. Janira at the front desk is always so friendly, nice, and efficient - not only with checking us in and out - but also keeping on top of any paperwork needs. My husband was rear-ended last year, and Dr. Lance is helping him on the road to recovery - he's still under care and we are grateful Dr. Lance has hours that help Ken to not miss a lot of work to get adjusted. I am a patient. I live for chiropractic care. I had recently moved to the area and had serious issues from lifting furniture. It got so bad, I was on the floor in tears. They were able to see me that day, got me straightened out and on a plan of treatment. Did I mention this was mid-covid in April when everything and everyone was shut down? We live in Chicago, and have been seeing a local Chiropractor for years. We needed one around the Davenport, FL area. My wife's neck went out of adjustment by sleeping on a hotel pillow. We called out local chiropractor, and they suggested we seek out a Palmer trained Chiropractor. We thought we found this in Michaux Family Chiropractic. We called on Saturday, and set an appointment with an understanding that we pay about $40 for an adjustment. Our awesome chiropractor in Chicago faxed over records and spoke to Michaux's office on Saturday. We set our appointment for Monday morning at 9:30 AM. Upon visiting, we were deluged with a ton of forms, and being asked multiple times if my wife was involved in a car accident. They wanted our insurance information. They wanted our Social Security Number, and a host of other forms....for a one time adjustment! After waiting 40 minutes, we were moved into a "consultation" room, where we were told that although they have our records and understand our situation, they must perform a $140 exam in order to perform the adjustment. This experience was nothing short of a ambulance chasing, bait and switch tactic that was a complete waste of everyone's time. All we needed was a 10 minute $40 adjustment. We wasted an hour in the office, and 20 minutes each way, as well as wasted our home Chiropractics's time with talking and faxing forms for no good reason. read more

I've been getting Chiropractic care for years... First the doctors here are great... and like an onion you need to peal back the office staff to realize it. The office staff... are less than pleasant and no enthusiasm towards their jobs. I like the docs here, but the office staff makes me not want to come here. I always make appointments. Well its been on a few occasions that I never got seen. I said something once and the Kurt called and apologized. But that wasn't the last time. Don't bother calling to make an appointment or to cancel. They never pick up the phone. Your call will go to voice mail and they will call you back. Always go in and talk to them face to face... Today I tried calling and voice mail. So I went in to cancel an appointment. Here I am standing there and Lady 1 said "she'll help you." and no sooner does Lady 2 pick up the phone. The office staff seems to pass the buck onto another alot of the time. THE DOCS ARE GREAT and do more than just crack your back.. .I needed something specific done and had to shop around for it. Low and behold this place could do this specific type of treatment.... but it's the office staff that brings the place down. Plenty of parking. Good location right off the highway, but a pain in the butt to make your way through the engineering maze of a parking lot. read more

I have been in several offices over the last 10 yrs and have to say this is one of the best! I have been a business owner and was very impressed with everything from when I called to schedule, to the process of figuring out what was wrong, to getting my problems taken care of (without drugs or surgery which were my other options). Dr. Michaux and staff took great care of me, along with my 2 little girls, to which I am great full. So my back had been bothering me for a month. Finally wanted to get it taken care of back to life. Called a few places they wanted me to see P.A., then get X-rays and finally by the third copay see a chiropractor. Then I remembered Michaux from them squeezing us in for my sons sports physical. Sure enough they squeezed me because they can that place is so efficient it's like a well oiled machine the way it runs. Was seen Monday by Wednesday I was running again. Wife Went there for checkup and they lied about insurance coverage. Created a huge list of false medical conditions that outraged my regular practitioner. On top of that, 4 months later, after we coincidentally decide not to return, they start to bill us for services they claim, were suddenly not covered. Vindictive, rude, liars. I've been going to Michaux Family Chiropractic since I moved to Clermont in 2004. I have several compressed discs in my neck and lower back. I also suffer from Meniere's Disease (severe vertigo). All the medicines I take only help slightly by temporarily masking the pain and nausea caused by the vertigo. However when my back gets really bad I am relegated to a walker and/or canes. I have found that massage, adjustment and decompression enable me to walk and move pain free. I have only had to resort to decompression three times in thirteen years. Usually the adjustments work fine if I am conscientious and go have them done regularly. The meds for my Meniere's just keep the nausea at bay but the adjustments keep me vertigo free again if I go regularly. I have also had very few illnesses as in colds and flus due to my early training by Dr. Michaux in correct eating habits and taking supplements. I have gone to other Chiropractors and came away with no help. My opinion is that they are caring folks and the office staff is always pleasant and helpful. read more

Michaux Family Chiropractic is the best chiropractic office I have ever visited! I have been going to chiropractors for the last 17 years. Dr. Kurt, Dr. Jamee, and Dr. Dan have done SO much to help me with my dizziness. They specialize in corrective care. They get my spine aligned correctly with adjustments and then teach me how to exercise so that I can strengthen my muscles to avoid experiencing the dizziness anymore. Then I just need maintenance adjustments periodically. They are super with my kids who receive adjustments occasionally - especially after heavy sports or a fall. Their personalized attention to our health and needs is unheard of these days. All 3 of the doctors are friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. When I walk in feeling lousy, their encouraging attitude makes me feel like I can do this - I will feel better - with their help. I have seen them be so kind to the elderly and cutsie with the little children - they all have a great sense of humor and a great rapport with everyone. The office staff is a great part of the team there. They keep things running smoothly. The ladies at the front desk work very well together with each jumping in where they are needed so that no one feels ignored. They are always friendly and quickly get to know people by first name. They are very efficient - when they say they'll get something done for you - they do! They never rush people or push them aside. They are very professional yet very friendly and accommodating to each person's needs. It is always easy to make appointments there with morning and evening appointments available. And they are always willing to fit someone in or stay late when a patient has an issue that needs attention. They also have an answering system that allows people to get in touch with the doctors quickly if needed while the office is not open. People always leave their office with a smile and feeling better than when they walked in. I am very grateful that I found this office! read more

AWESOME PLACE! I first went to Dr. Michaux nine years ago for shoulder pain. I could hardly walk with my arms swinging, I was in so much pain. After going to many doctors and them finally wanting to do surgery,(which I was against) I decided to give Dr. Michaux a try. After three months of therapy I was PAIN FREE!! I love to work out and I stay very active so this was amazing for me. Nine years later....I began to feel pain in my lower back, headaches(which I never get) and my ankle was in so much pain from sports injuries. I was limited to the workouts in which I was used to doing and this was causing depression. I remembered what this office had done nine years earlier for me and decided to give them a call again. BOY AM I GLAD I DID!!! In two short weeks my headaches were GONE !!! HAVE NOT HAD ANOTHER SINCE. My lower back is getting so much better and its only been a month and a half, and my ankle is doing great! I am now doing my five mile a day walks again.
