The office also told me they take my insurance but later backtracked and said they don't and that I'd need to talk to my insurance because Sonus didn't understand my referral...I talked to my insurance and they were confused what the issue was! I kept calling Sonus and was on hold and had to get call backs all day and they finally admitted it was their mistake and there was no issue after all! Because of all of this, and my urgent need for a hearing test, I had to drive 2 hours away somewhere else. Sonus Irvine absolutely wasted a full day for me and forced me to drive so far away. Absolutely never trust this office for an appointment! It is mind blowing that they did not know how insurance or referrals work and it took them so long to finally admit everything was in order on my end.

After about 15 questions, she told me that my Authorization was not in their system and I would have to wait a couple of days and call back. I indicated I had the Authorization in my hand and if she couldn't access it, would she call me back. Giulianna said NO. I waited a week and called back. The same routine, they had to call me back several hours later, when it was convenient for Giulianna. We went through the same 15 questions, even thought I had the Authorization #, at which time Giulianna said the Authorization was still not in their system and that I would have to call back again. I asked to speak with a Supervisor, Giulianna indicated she was in charge. This is no way to run a business, I filed a complaint with Optum and requested another provider. I do not recommend.

Sarah Nunns administered the test and it was evident that my hearing would be significantly helped with aids. Dr Donna Cody discussed several options and I decided to try a pair of Oticon hearing aids. She had a trial pair available and I was fitted, tutored on the mobile app, and sent off to try them for a while. Over the next few weeks I returned for consultation with Dr Cody and minor adjustments to the aids. Dr Cody wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied and that the hearing aids were tuned to my specific needs. I was very satisfied and ordered a pair of Oticon Real aids. Dr Cody and her staff are exceptional. The atmosphere in the office is friendly, helpful, and caring. I never felt rushed and it was evident that patient care was a top priority.
