Dr. Petrov is in a class of her own - I believe she practices Traditional Chinese Medicine in....well the traditional way. In the way it has been practiced for thousands of years. At the time of writing this review, I am only three sessions in, however I can see a marked change in my body after 15+ years of chronic pain and dysfunction. I have been seeking a care provider that uses their intuition, experience and collaborates with the patient to help me sort out seemingly unrelated issues that I know are intertwined. For the first time in my adult life, I can actually see a path forward to healing and being free of chronic pain and dysfunction. I have hope now. Not a glimmer of hope, but full-borne CAPITAL H Hope that I might actually get to live a not only normal, but vibrant life post 40. Dr. Petrov's approach to having patients commit to at least three months of weekly care empowers the patient to be a participant rather than a passive recipient of technical applications. Finding quality acupuncture in San Francisco is no east feat, but Amy was recommended by a friend, so I made my first appointment. Amy was very detailed and asked thorough questions about my lifestyle, stress, health, conditions, etc. She took the time to create the full picture of of my health in order to move forward with treatment. She explained the needles, the meridians, my Qi, and more. After my first acupuncture treatment, I felt physically and mentally awesome-- invigorated, yet steady. I had amazing mental calmness and an overall balanced well-being-- my first relief in a long time. In addition to acupuncture, Amy also prescribed traditional Chinese herbs to supplement my treatment. Amy is a very kind person and caring healer. Her warm, gracious, and open personality put me at ease, though, and I found her tableside manner (if that's the appropriate term) to be just as kind and calming. I was seeking treatment for ADHD - some sort of alternative to stimulant medications. Andréa had never approached acupuncture from quite that angle before, but instead of being intimidated or turning me down, she got excited. She dove right in, did a bunch of research (on her own time), and came up with a treatment plan with me that was remarkably effective. ADHD is tricky in that it represents differently in each of us who have it, and each of us respond to different types of treatments in different ways. For me, it turned out that meds were the answer, but I was terrified to try them, or really any treatment at all, at first. I can say without reservation now, though, that the incredibly positive results I experienced from regular treatments with Andréa proved to me that seeking specific and special treatments *does* work. Her acupuncture led me towards the path on which I am now, and for that I will be eternally grateful. In short, she's excellent. Her prices are a steal, given the quality of care she offers, and she's a lovely person all around. My amazing chiropractor referred me to Liz to help with some back and hip pain. I'm a skeptic by…read morenature, but I'm also open to all things health related. She starts with a bit of massaging. I think it's for diagnostic reasons, but it feels amazing. Then she does cupping followed by the acupuncture. The pain seems to melt away and I always get the best sleep that night. Most recently I had her work on my knees after I feel down stairs with laundry. Landed knees first on my wood floor. The pain was still pretty severe for about a month. Then I told Liz and she switched up the needle placements...I now think of her as a magical healer. The pain almost instantly went away. I woke up the next morning without having to suffer the few minutes of getting the knees warmed up. Now, the pain is 95% gone. Both her space and energy are soothing. From what I hear, her rates are amazing as well. I have no doubt she'll be able to keep me moving pain free and as active as I am for years to come.

I will definitely be seeking more treatment from Liz. I have been recommending all my friends to come see her!
