This makes it easier for some, but when you like a particular room you start to feel a bit uncomfortable, maybe that's just me. 4. she always wanted her payment in cash, which I thought was odd. 5. she doesn't take insurance. I know most don't but it would be nice since she is so expensive she was great at dealing with my anxiety attacks triggered in session. She gave me teaching methods to help calm my self down if I'm alone. I wish I could keep seeing her, but in 2020 I think it was $210 for a 50 minute session. That's over $11,00/Year. When I tried asking questions about his methods of treatment, he went off on a rant about how he has freedom of speech, and I cant take that away from him. He also tried suggesting me to put me on a medication that was contraindicated for someone of my diagnosis. Unless you're interested in shelling out $10k for treatment that hasn't been proven effective, go elsewhere.

My initial impression from just body language is that he's a bit sulky. His office on the 5th floor at 825 Van Ness is a bit cramped for my taste and gets a little street noise which I found bothersome if the window was open. I'm highly sensitive to noise, so you may have no problem. It was fine having it closed. He called me Mr. "*last name*". In fact, he began many sentences with "Mr. *last name*" and was mildly argumentative. He offered a handshake before and after each oppointment. Sometimes he said "Bye-byyyyye" in a higher than usual tone which came across as phoney. Here's the reason why he only gets one star. I wanted to get a discount on a medication not covered by Healthy SF. The medication's website informs the reader that the doctor must request an application. Upon informing Dr. Yun of this, he told me that he will not do it on his own time, but will do it during one of our appointments. Fair enough. After doing some research online, I discovered a link to a phone number that allows the caller to immediately talk to someone. Unfortunately, they only talk to doctors. At my next appointment with Dr. Yun, I gave him the link to the site and told him how to get to the person on the phone. But he clicked on something else and called a different number. He didn't get anywhere with that person. After several minutes he said we may not have enough time to finish the process of getting a medication discount at that appointment. Here's where a switch of some sort got flipped in him: I asked him why he doesn't just follow the steps that I took to get someone on the phone right away. He got really angry and said I was crossing his boundary, that I wasn't "interfacing" with him properly. He was like a pouting kid, saying that I wasn't listening to him. When I asked him again why he wouldn't just try my way after his way didn't work, he only repeated that I was trying to make him do something he didn't want to do. He said he was doing it as a courtesy and doesn't like to try to get discounts for patients anyway. At the beginning of the appointment he said he was closing that office because he has five psychiatry jobs. Maybe he's burned out. I think he feels attacks when there are none. He gave me some samples of the med I needed and told me I could see a different doc at that location. I declined the referral and went on my way. Why would I want to bump into him again? There are friendlier, more positive doctors out there.

Anyways, Dr. Sragets personally called me (that never happens with my Neurologist) the next day and said that I don't necessarily need to do the MRI. She said I'm open to have the MRI if I want, but with my sucky insurance coverage, it's not necessary because I MUST have surgery anyways.
