So the dipsy woman went to talk to the office manager who, after 5 minutes, came to the front desk and hopped on the computer to "find out what went wrong." Irene W. originally went to see Dr. Taylor complaining that a previous podiatrist had "botched" her surgery, and that she had "back pain" as a result. Dr. Taylor recommended, received written permissions for, and performed major surgery on four toes. She also performed minor surgery on the fifth "little" toe. There is no record of why she chose to add additional minor surgery during a major surgical procedure. Irene W. Asked Dr. Taylor for copies of her medical records. Dr. Taylor typed up handwritten notes and provided them. Irene W. then filed a complaint with the CA Medical Board. The entirety of the "professional misconduct" was Dr. Taylor's 3-week delay in transcribing written surgical notes and failing to document the procedure on the fifth toe. A number of Irene W.'s accusations in her review are not substantiated by the public documents. Let's now take a look at Irene W.'s record. She first went to Dr. Taylor complaining that another doctor had "botched" her surgery. In both cases, her treatment was not only highly professional, it WORKED. And this after two other podiatrists were unable to help me. She made herself available to me on a holiday weekend for an emergency. I have sent three other people two see Dr. Taylor, and they have all be satisfied. I don't know the medical details. Yes, Dr. Taylor is chatty. That is true. However, I found all her conversation completely relevant to my case and helpful. Yes, she has proscribed for me orthotics multiple times. However, those orthotics saved my lifestyle. She showed me exactly why they were needed, and how my foot had changed between the first and second set. I consider a few hundred dollars out of pocket (insurance won't pay for a second set) to be able to hike a very good value indeed. It is unfortunate that Irene's W.'s feet are not as good as she would like. I suppose Dr. Taylor should do the kind of paranoid, defensive record keeping that other doctors do. Handwritten notes are "not professional," as the public documents say. Are two separate surgeries better than only one? I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Taylor to anyone. After a rather basic toe nail clipping, they were charged $650 dollars to be paid immediately. It is astonishing that any podiatrist would grift the elderly as part of their practice. I see a different podiatrist and he does far more for far less to care for my orthopedic issues with professionalism, and more importantly, an actual treatment plan. My friends didn't want me to create additional issues by filling a complaint. When he made his rounds again, I was there and they said "no thank you" as they can refuse treatment that wasn't sanctioned by them. They consider the matter settled, but I promised to leave a fair review. His nail clipping he billed as a "treatment" and a $650 check on their bank statement is despicable. Should anyone reading this review feel compelled to report this practitioner for such practices, you can file a formal complaint with the Podiatric Medical Board of California (PMBC).

Michelle is great -- very responsive and easy to schedule through One Medical, and my favorite thing -- if he doesn't know something 100%, she's quite willing to say so and then find the answer. (A lot of doctors will never do that.)
