From the first phone call John was there to answer my questions and actually talk to me about my event. I had called several other catering places and no one really wanted to discuss the event or ask me questions, but John was always there for me and help put me at ease when things got stressful. The food was AMAZING!! Every person at my wedding said how absolutely delicious the food was. It was better than a restaurant, it was so good! Really, this one frankly ought to be a one-star review, as my friends would say I'm being way too nice. ;) I'd say the two-stars is mostly only thanks to the initial gal Cara I had spoken with, as she seemed great and I'm sure what happened isn't her fault AT all, as she wasn't ever on the actual e-mail thread with the office assistant person. Ah also the very first person I ever spoke with when I had first called back in July (don't recall her name?) seemed SO sweet and kind, so I at least feel that's worth the additional star as well. Anyway since the bridal world can be a tender time of life, I almost feel a responsibility to simply forewarn anyone searching for 'hourly' booking options, etc. Based on how this business behaved (them offering the client an hourly service option, going through a pre-booking process that was certainly questionable at numerous points, although I somehow still was willing to move forward with them at the time), and then a month later at the eleventh hour receiving a perplexing e-mail from them, with a tone of condescension asking to make sure I understood that this would be charged as an hourly service--when quite literally, that was the entire thing we were booking them for initially, so what a strange question! Then at that point, me as the client having to 'read between the lines', to directly ask if they'd sent that e-mail because perhaps they'd changed their minds/didn't want to take me on as an hourly client after all? And only then them confirming that yes that is the case, as essentially I wasn't worth it to them, so they abruptly canceled the agreement we'd e-mailed about. (Which is hilarious that I would have ended up paying them so much more than I'd originally imagined due to the amount of hourly work I'd started to plan to utilize them for, and not to mention referring them to many friends in the future--but instead, of course now someone couldn't even pay me to give this place business, sadly.) Thanks to this company's truly surprising treatment of a prospective client, and wasting time for so many weeks, I will no longer even be getting married in the location originally imagined. Yup. It put such a bizarre damper on the whole entire experience, to the point of actually taking away my previous dreams of getting married in Mammoth for now. Best of luck to everyone in their bridal era right now--the treatment out in the world is not always what you might expect! ;)

Not only personalized yoga and breath work, but also guided meditation and visualizations, and a variety of different energy work from Reiki to sound bath to tuning forks. I was new to this approach to health, healing, and wellbeing, and I have to say I'm amazed by how impactful this approach can be. She brings a deep caring and healing energy to her practice and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve the health and wellbeing of their mind, body, and spirit. Very grateful we have somebody this skilled in our community. She is also a great yoga teacher and would highly recommend her classes. She is unique in her ability to incorporate guided meditation, intention, and visualizations in her classes, leading to a greater impact on overall wellbeing.

The building is still there but the hotel is no longer in operation. I heard Mammoth Mountain purchased it and turned it into employee housing (which, obviously, is much needed). So sad... I've stayed here numerous times in the last decade or so. It was one of those gems where the price was reasonable but the room is spacious and always clean. Sierra Lodge will always have special place in my heart! Glad I got to stay one last time over the July 4th weekend this year (at that time, I didn't know it was going to be my last time there).

I knew going into this venue we would have to go with the flow due to unpredictable weather. Natalie Saini eased my mind from the first time I emailed with her and spoke on the phone with her. She was here for me as a coordinator every step of the way! She would email me back quickly and even coordinated a private tasting for us since we were unable to make the group tasting they have twice a year. Her organization and experience made me so confident that our hard work planning would all come together! We had rehearsal on the rooftop and had to switch locations to inside Parallax less than an hour before ceremony time. I'm sure that was stressful for her, but she made me and my husband not have a worry or care in the world. Our day was absolutely perfect for us! She accommodated our wishes of having 10-15 minutes alone after our ceremony. Natalie went above and beyond. She let us have our moment together in our reception area where she had waiting for us drinks and lots of appetizers! We walked around our reception area and got to see it all before our grand entrance to our guests. The gondola staff, the servers, bartenders (Connor especially!), chef, coordinators, and all the Mammoth Mountain staff were so good to us! Our guests raved about the food! We did the family style and it was almost like plated! Lastly, right when we got into town, Natalie came to our cabin and picked up all of our wedding decor and details so we did not have to worry about it! The Sunday after the wedding, she dropped it all back off to us in perfect condition and boxed so nicely.
