I came home and literally as I'm logging into my computer to sign it I got a call from my realtor. Mind you, It is now 5:37pm as I write this so I haven't even had the contract for 3 hours. This listing agent, who didn't even have the audacity to call my realtor in person, sent him a vague email saying they changed their minds and already executed another contract with someone else before she even informed my realtor of what was going on. No explanation. No opportunity to learn why. No opportunity to counter offer. Nothing. My offer was strong. And if given the chance, I would have made it even stronger. My credit is STELLAR! And I was going with a solid pre-approved conventional loan! If you are a buyer and you want this woman to get your hopes up so she can at any moment talk sellers into changing their minds go ahead and take the risk.
