As per usual. We are grateful for Michelle's Pampered Pets for safely taking care of our buck wild looney toon golden doodles. We are amazed, every time, that the girls are able to be bathed, shaved, cut and come out cute. I imagine it's like riding a bull for 8seconds, trying to get them groomed. The trim sometimes looks a little sloppy. Customer service is lacking. I go to this place in a pinch but it's not my fav groomer.

So I took my dog in last minute and they were able to fit her in.. all looked good yeah she had a lot of excess hair on her but my main issue was that when I got home my dogs paw was bleeding and I checked they cut her nails way to short and didn't tell me about it. I can't trust a shop that doesn't tell me they hurt my dog. read more

I called around to several groomers this morning hoping for an appointment early next week, but when Michelle's Pampered Pets told me they could squeeze my pup in today, I was absolutely willing to take him in. I brought my sweet boy in for a bath and nail trim and was not disappointed. The groomer was extra gentle with him when I told her he had arthritis in his hindquarters, his spine in particular. At 10 years old, his separation anxiety has also progressed, but he survived 2 hours without me and was clearly comfortable with the people who took such good care of him. read more

This hidden gem is my go to spot for my two dogs. I have a min pin and a Doberman. They take care of the dogs like they are their own. They got baths and even had a cute bow on them when they were done. My min pin HATES to get his nails done but they are able to do it quickly and efficiently. I recommend this place for everything. We've been using Michelle's Pampered Pets for years now after bouncing around to different groomers for our husky. Husky coats are complicating, esp here in the desert but somehow they manage to do such a good job getting her sparkling clean and smelling so good. They also know exactly how to thin out her coat without shaving her. Sasha tends to get vocal and anxious when it's her spa day and we so appreciate their gentle nature and hard work!! I brought my 3 long haired cats here to get shaved because they had some bad matting. I was scared that they wouldn't be able to do it because my cats are HORRIBLE with people they don't know, and would be worse if someone was trying to shave them. They finished all 3 extremely fast and I was so happy when I saw the work done. My cats look great and I can tell they feel so much better. They also weren't freaking out as I thought they would when I brought them home. I definitely would recommend coming here. I also referred my sister to bring her cat here and she did. I'm new to town, and my dogs nails were getting a little out of control. I decided to walk in here for a nail clipping because it's local and my friend told me they were great. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I was told to go get my dog, so I did. I sat down in a chair and held her while the young lady got on the ground, carefully and diligently using an automatic machine to sand them down. No clippers, no drama. She was extremely patient and spent over 10 minutes filing down every single nail. It was a sight to behold, seeing the shavings of my dogs nails fly everywhere. The real kicker was when she finished she told me the price. 5 dollars, LMAO! I was shocked it was so cheap, being from San Francisco. Even when I lived in Oregon it was 3x that price. Awesome price and service. Threw her 10$ and felt great about it. Highly recommended. read more

We have been going to Michelle's pampered pets for about 4 to 5 years now. It's been wonderful. However prior to taking all 3 of our K9's we always as the price so we can pay cash and tip cash. This last week we took them in and and dropped them off like normal, then my girlfriend went to pick them up. The price was 40 more than we were quoted. (Additionally she paid ot and tipped 10 additional per dog, not that that matters) so when she advised me of this I called and it appears perhaps the manager or owner answered (not certian however sounded like it) I very nicely asked why we were told one thing when we called and and had to pay a different price upon pick up. Her answer was "well my rent went up, so my the prices go up." I was shocked that she answered that way. I mean she could've answered in a more professional and kind manner. So I re advised her that wasn't the price we were quoted and stated that we should have been called and notifies. Reasons are because what if we could afford that. She stated she'll find out who answered the call that day and tell them. Very disappointing as for years it was great. Unfortunately due to the unprofessional demeanor we will be seeking a new groomer. In addition our third pet didn't receive grooming to her rear compared to the other one nor their feet pads groomed. We paid 160 for services instead of the 120 we were quoted. Plus 30 tip. We are reasonable folks , however when there's unprofessional communication and services it's unfortunate. read more

My 2 poodles have been groomed by Michelle & staff since she opened her doors. My dog are beautiful, but more than that they are cared for while in Michelle and staffs keeping. Extra care is taken with Jax my old boy he's 17 years in May and he thinks he tuff but he's really not. Jo my 12 year old has separation anxiety plus, but manages well with Michelle and comes home calm and beautiful. I've been taking my dog here for about two years, it's been pretty good, but this last visit wasn't . When I picked her up one of the women whispered something to one of the other women and her face got really red, it felt really awkward, I asked if my dog did ok because she's a pretty anxious dog, so this stresses her out, the woman said ya, she was a little spooked. I got her home and noticed she was liking herself and my other dogs were in her private area bothering her. They burnt her so bad down there even her anal area is burnt, I feel it was no accident, the way it looks, it's very specific. I'm so very sad. My dog is innocent and my baby. I don't usually leave bad reviews but I feel so bad for my girl, I felt I needed to for her. read more

First time trying this groomer after being to 3 other groomers. This one is closer, cheaper and the women are friendlier. My dog isn't too friendly especially right off the bat it takes her a while to warm up but she took to Michelle right away and didn't care that I left lol which was a nice surprise and made me feel comfortable leaving her with them. Michelle did a great job and my dog was happy which is what matters and why I have switched groomers. I had a little dog that needed nails cut and since I brought a dog for grooming the little dog was free. All around I am pleased with this place and will be returning! Thank you!! Never had an issue with this place. My dog is a 50lb pitbull/boxer mix with a ton of energy. The prices are reasonable and cheaper than many other places, but they still do a quality job. They are always a lot faster than I expect too. Less than an hour many times. read more

Good experience! I tried Michelle after she came recommended to me by several folks at the Apple Valley dog park. I called at around 10:30am on a Saturday asking about a grooming appointment for my small wire type hair terrier mix and was offered a trim, nail clipping, bath, and gland expression for 25 dollars immediately, or all of the former plus a whole clip for 30 the coming Wednesday. I went down 20 minutes later that day to drop him off. Michelle was very courteous and seemed to enjoy interacting with my pup. She asked me about specifics of the grooming and I was told an hour and a half for the grooming. After about an hour and twenty minutes I was called to let me know I could pick up my dog. Cooper looked very sharp when I got him and quite happy and very excited to see me as usual =) He smelled great and even had a little bow put on his collar. I will definitely be coming back again. As a forewarning, either the perfume or shampoo used on Cooper was a bit strong for my nose. While initially quite pleasing it bothered me a little when he sat in my lap for an extended period. I can be somewhat sensitive to perfumes and and added scents, however. read more

I took my puppy Maltipoo here and was a little nervous about leaving him because there was a dog literally screaming behind a partition. Michelle told me that they just have to get used to the dryer but it sounded so loud - like a carwash dryer. I dropped him off, went home, and less than 45 minutes later I was called to pick him up. He needed the works: shampoo, cut all over, face shaved, anal glands, and nails. I was surprised that he was done so quickly. He was so traumatized and Michelle wasn't very warm with him. She stated that he'd had "temper tantrums" and I just got the feeling that she wasn't thrilled with her job. My dog was terrified to be put down or leave my arms for the rest of that day and most of the next. I decided to look for a groomer who is more gentle. read more

Wed been taking pitch noodle here for a bit and they do a pretty good job, but when we pick her up they seem annoyed. The shop is a little messy and disorganized, so we decided to find another groomer. We'd go here again if needed, but I think they can improve the customer service and aesthetics. read more

Unlike Groomingdale"s , Kody did not come out sick and shaking/traumatized , great prices here too. Michelle's will go out of her way for any dog that has been thru hell at groomingdale's and uses low dryers instead of forced high velocity torture dryers.
