We groomed our first set of Standard Poodles for 14 years - until they stepped off the planet. When we got 2 new pups, we started by trying out 3 groomers. All were good . . . but when we requested a #15 blade for a very close shave, they refused. I think this is because they think the dogs will burn in the sun. We're with the dogs 24/7 and we would not let that happen. The super close shave buys us time. Our Poodles grow hair so fast, it is important to shave close in the summer. We found Tails of the Valley. Dawn agreed to use a #15 blade. The huge bonus was Dawn's excellent detailing. PLUS, our "tough guy" male normally shakes the entire time he's on the table. He eventually relaxed with Dawn! We'll be back!

First thing I love is the place is clean & organized with friendly staff & they know my girl the second she walks threw the door!. They take amazing care of her in climate controlled kennels. They are very detailed on her food & play time ( a little extra but worth it) I can leave her knowing she is in great hands & thats big for me because my Daisy is my life. He isn't just the mayor, he is the founding father. He lives a pretty spoiled life, and getting his nails cut is the most traumatic thing he could ever imagine. He is the ultimate drama king. A Pick Of The Litter does such an awesome job with him, and even though he still gets a little spooked, this is the only place we've been able to take him where he feels comfortable, and a good job is done. They are calm, understanding, and do a great job with him (even if he can be a little bit of a bad boy lol). I highly recommend coming here for any grooming needs, big or small. The folks here will truly care for your pups and do a great job in the process.

This place is horrible, hard to believe there's honest good reviews since everyone I meet complains about how horrible this place is, wouldn't be surprised the good reviews are from friends and family of workers/owner. Before and after pics of my dog who got really sick for months after his appointment and would not let me go near him after his appointment when I picked him up and it took 6 months for him to feel okay with us showing him a brush or any grooming items.

The staff (McKenzie and Dr. Choi) took him in the back, found out his intestines had tangled and died off. Samaritans Animal Hospitals amazing staff took him in for emergency surgery on the spot and was an "ALL STAR" team for Odin's care. He came out of emergency surgery pointed in the right direction. Samaritan Animal Hospital advised us to take him to Animal Emergency Clinic where they had Odin for 3 days. He almost didn't make it, but due to the care of the staff at Samaritan Animal Hospital and the staff at Animal Emergency Clinic is the only reason our puppy made it through. We will be the first to say. We put all our hope into the Samaritan Animal Hospital and Animal Emergency Clinic, where they have done nothing less of being the best choice for our animals and we will not look elsewhere. After the surgery we had to give him another set of shots, after the completion of shots. Odin looked a little lethargic again. Took him into Animal Emergency clinic, where we were then notified of our puppy catching Parvo. Emergency Animal Clinic once again got right on top of it and got him cured up and a reasonable cost. Samaritan Animal Hospital then reached out to shot manufacturer and got us reimbursed for the cost of parvo care. Our puppy is now seven month old and weighing in at seventy-five pounds. We cannot give enough thanks to these people that helped us keep our Odin alive. The staff is amazing, hardworking, honest, and have the biggest hearts. Read carefully. It'll save you money and a damn headache…read more We took in our Belgian Malinois because his leg had swollen and he was no longer able to put weight on it. I paid $1200 for them to run labs and do numerous x-rays. They said they could not find a break or fracture and that he may have just sprained his leg. Sent him home with painkillers and joint snacks for arthritis prevention. His leg continued to swell overnight, I called in and they asked me to give it more time for the medication to begin to help. We waited another day, but he stopped eating and drinking water. He was extremely lethargic and his leg had swollen almost twice its size. We took him back in. They wanted to get more x-rays of his leg. Additional bloodwork. Another $1,200, and then I get a phone call that they noticed that there was a bite mark on his leg. They shaved his leg down and found that he had multiple bite marks on his leg and it had become infected. They had to cut his leg open on two sides, debride it and clean, and then install a drain on each side. Another $2000. They did it all within 30 minutes of them closing, and then they sent us over to the emergency clinic for overnight care. They never provided transfer paperwork, never contacted the emergency clinic. Just sent us on our way. We had no other option and again had to pay $2000 for the overnight care. In the morning, the overnight care stated that our dog needed to get evaluated because there were no signs of improvement and he was in excruciating pain. Asked us to send him back to Samaritan. Samaritan refused to see him! After spending almost $4,500, they refused to see him back. They are absolutely the worst! Not only did they miss what was actually wrong with our dog the first time around, they then refused to see him after they were the ones that provided the treatment. Thankfully, the emergency clinic called Apple Valley animal Hospital. Apple Valley animal Hospital took in our dog that very morning. They had him in for observation the rest of the day. They provided IV and antibiotics IV pain medication for our dog. Sent home additional medication to help him with the infection. They unfortunately had to do another drainage towards the bottom of his leg that Samaritan also missed. There were more cuts towards the bottom. Don't even go here if your pet needs help. They will just take your money and then refuse to actually care for your pet.

On one if his legs, i have heard those can be very dangerous. I dont have luxury money to give away but for my pets ill find a way to get the money so they can be okay, well went in there they didnt find any foxtail on his leg but they did found one inside his ear. It was to close to eardrum and was irrated so they said they couldn't removed it because it was to irrated to do so. So anyways, i came back home gave me medication for infection and inflammation and pain. After 2 weeks of medication were over, his leg was still swollen, one of the pucture wound was still open, I send them pixtures of status of his leg and they never replied, I called back and made an appointment, they only gave a stronger dosage of antibiotics. After 4 days his leg got so swollen, to much pressure his swollen part pop, I called to let them know all they said was to soaked in warm water, 2 days later, I chexk on his leg to soak in warm water and i see like something that look likr hair in his wound, I was like how did, well I take a good close look and to my surprise it was a foxtail, I pulled it out completely. I called immediately, and complained to them that he did had a foxtail, and only for Amy or jammie, I think its the receptionist. To give me a sassy attitude about my complained already clearing off their mistake. My dog still injured and uncomfortable. If I knew I was gonna wait this long to make him feel better I wouldn't never paid $700. He began feeling uncomfortable in the beginning of April, his first visit was april 13. Almost a month. And he still has an infection, well now i know why. ..( foxtail inside the swollen part of his leg) Its not fair for our pets and us. For you guys to give a maybe diagnostic. I was told he didnt had any beside ONE on his ear. If they wouldn't said there was a lightly chance he still had one on his leg then they should've gave me stronger medication since the beginning instead of make me pay again for another check up and another medication again. I really thought, I could trust this clinic, I always go base on the ratings. I guess rating dont matter. Horrible diagnostic and horrible customer service after you have a complain.

We knew it was weird that it was the front desk lady checking on my pet and not a vet so we understood they just wanted our money. 10 minutes later our pet passed. This place does not care about your pet they care about taking your money and taking advantage of the situation you're in.

This shop is amazing I took my 9lb maltipoo furbaby Rocko to this salon to have a hair cut and nails clipped. Apple Valley Animal Hosp recommended them because I just rescued this sweet baby, and he was so shaggy. I dropped him off and they called me when he was done. When I returned I almost did not recognize him he was beautifully clipped, his nails was perfect and he smelled so good from his bath. I am not related to the shop so I can give you an honest review. I definetly do recommend them for your pets needs. The staff is very caring and the prices are so reasonable. I can honestly say I will make this salon my new pet spa for Rocko. I have been taking my doggies to Fur Babies for several months! It was impossible to find a decent groomer here in the High Desert! After reading all the wonderful reviews, I decided to give them a try! WOW!!! They are beyond fantastic! They do a great job and treat my dogs as if they were their pets. Love and kindness is what you receive as soon as you open the door to their shop! Carlene is the groomer who takes care of my Babies! However, if I am greeted by a different groomer when I arrive, they are just as fantastic! Their prices are incredibly reasonable and my dogs love them! This place is seriously the best. They do amazing grooming not to mention really love every pet that comes in. For these girls it's not just a job , it's them doing what they love. Who wouldn't want there animals loved by there groomer. You can go to a corporate, assembly line dog salon. Or....... Support 2 amazing groomers that work their butts off and in their spare time help any shelter, any stray dog in their path!!! Finally took my 95lb chocolate Labrador to get groomed after 2 months of being the stinkiest dog, and we had the best experience at Fur Babies Pet Salon. We just moved to Victorville from Riverside and was kind of nervous about trying a new grooming place but the employees at Fur Babies Salon made it such a comfortable experience. I really appreciate how kind and understanding they are. I also loved that they gave him a cute tie, he looked so sharp. I will be taking my dog and cat here from now on. Dani is a true lover of dogs and it shows in the way she treats our furry friends; just like they were her own babies! We have been seeing Dani for our dogs for several years now, and would not allow my canine buddy to be groomed by anyone else. On top of that, she is a first rate groomer - Corbin is always handsome and debonair when she is done. We have been taking our pups here for many years. Always a great experience. One of my older pups never liked going to the groomer, I used to have to carry him in. Once I started with fur babies, it took a couple times but he now walks in on his own. They all love going. So happy I found them. I took my Yorkie there yesterday. She is usually terrified as we had an incident at another grooming place but Dani was very good with her and said my dog was very good. I know she is hard to get to stand still and does NOT like getting groomed, but she was happy and tail wagging when I went to pick her up and it was fast and I was pleased! Thanks Dani - great job! All three of my dogs had their third visit to Fur babies today. As with the first two visits they loved it! We did too, they are happy, clean, smell sooo good and don't shed for weeks! Dani & Shelby are great! I've taken 2 of my dogs to them & they took such good care of them. Bella (cocker spaniel) gets really nervous going anywhere, but Dani makes sure she is safe. Drake(husky) has back/hip issues and Shelby made sure to be gentle with him while he got his furminator. They looked great!! We will be back. read more

What a great place! Its really all about the animal there and very reasonable rates. After a dreadful experience in the summer with a different groomer I was nervous about leaving our dog. When I found this shop my Maltese had a very bad rash she wouldn't let anyone get near her bottom. Sandy took her time, 8 hours to be exact. Bathe her a few times to get rid of the poop that got stuck on her. She taught me how to care for her wounds - I recommend Sandy 100% to anyone in the high desert. She's also very affordable and works with you to make sure you keep bringing your doggies back.

First thing I love is the place is clean & organized with friendly staff & they know my girl the second she walks threw the door!. They take amazing care of her in climate controlled kennels. They are very detailed on her food & play time ( a little extra but worth it) I can leave her knowing she is in great hands & thats big for me because my Daisy is my life. The first time we had Deanna come out and she was so caring and understanding of what his needs were but it wasn't the case with Jessica. Dawn is very calm. AND she's very detailed oriented. She is the best groomer we have ever used!…read more We'd gotten used to a lesser standard (but weren't thrilled about it). Dawn is amazing. We groomed our first set of Standard Poodles for 14 years - until they stepped off the planet. When we got 2 new pups, we started by trying out 3 groomers. All were good . . . but when we requested a #15 blade for a very close shave, they refused. I think this is because they think the dogs will burn in the sun. We're with the dogs 24/7 and we would not let that happen. The super close shave buys us time. Our Poodles grow hair so fast, it is important to shave close in the summer. We found Tails of the Valley. Dawn agreed to use a #15 blade. The huge bonus was Dawn's excellent detailing. PLUS, our "tough guy" male normally shakes the entire time he's on the table. He eventually relaxed with Dawn! We'll be back!
