The place looks like a doctor's office, not a dump like most testing sites. Courteous testers, good counselors and prices are fair.

Some guy (patient) walked out of a door inside, smiling at me more than a regular friendly smile. If you're a girl, then IYKYK. People come for various reasons. I just realized this includes getting tested for venerable diseases? That might explain him smiling at me....maybe he got good news? But I digress.... Finally I got called, and was set up for the blood draw. The lady poked me and could NOT get blood! She made me drink a cup of water. I should have brought my own water bottle. I don't trust water from a tap. Anyway, she's made me drink it. Made me worry that's going to affect my results. More stress and cortisol coursing through my body! She was nice but she expressed she was ready to go home. I hear her, but that always taints my reviews. Overall, fine. Easy appointment scheduling, parking, and efficient in person experience. But BRING YOUR OWN WATER! Results were posted next day.

The technician told me it's a Quest corporate policy not to pay for pressure wrap. Sure enough, I got a bruise last time I was there. Also, their laboratories are so slow! It has been nearly three weeks and I don't have my results yet. I've called customer service repeatedly and they haven't given me an explanation. If you have another option, use it!

Dr. Eleanor Medina doesn't care about her patients. I wanted to be transferred to Henry Ford (where I originally wanted to go) because they have a very strict program with actual therapy and help. She told me I could, then later denied my request because she forgot who I was and the conversations we had prior. She has STAGE 4 CANCER, never comes in the building (you meet with her for 5 minutes on a phone call) and she's the one that decides if you can leave or not. She's clearly only working just for the money. I've been around many manipulative people and she was awful. Of course no one will do anything about it either. Your rights WILL be violated. This place was truly horrendous. From the get I was forced to withdraw cold turkey from the…read morebenzodiazapenes I had been prescribed for over a decade. In and of itself this can be deadly. Combined with the medication I was prescribed in there, I was in horrible shape the entire time I was there. I was clearly allergic to the medication that they gave me. My tongue would swell up and I would have uncontrollable muscle spasms, my legs would not stop kicking on their own. But even after I told them and they were able to see for themselves that I was allergic to their medications, they still forced me to take it under the threat that if I didn't I could be there indefinitely. I've seen many doctors in my day but Dr Appell was by far the worst doctor I've ever seen. Not only did he not even pretend to listen to myself and other patients, he prescribed everybody in the place the exact same medications. Mind you many of us had many different symptoms. I've truly never seen a doctor like this who did not even pretend to care. Nothing to help the withdrawal effects of the benzodiazapenes I had been prescribed for many years and on top of that I was forced to continue taking the new medication that they prescribed, despite the fact that I was showing visible allergic reactions to it. It took me quite a while after I was released to recover from the shock to my system this place gave me. Outside of that the place was not run very well at all. One patient in particular literally went around punching people repeatedly and nothing was done about it! But the main point here is against Dr Appell. I've talked to other doctors since then who have told me what Dr Appell did is blatantly against the law. I don't make many complaints but this guy cannot be ignored. If the right person reads this, I beg you to investigate Dr Appell. I guarantee you will find something illegal in the way this guy practices medicine. I've had some bad doctors in my day but this guy was something else entirely.
