The Tile Shop - Great looking tile in our new bathroom. But they sold us $3,000 more than what was needed.

However my review is regarding the most outstanding service I received at this store from Jacob and Sebastian. Beginning with their extensive knowledge in helping with making the right selections for my project, to the speedy delivery of my tiles which had to be special ordered, twice, the support and assistance in dealing with the mistakes and delays made by my contractor. Without their genuine concern, and taking the time to understand the scope of the problems we were having, I don't think my fireplace would have been completed at all. This particular Tile Shop is not just a regular store with people at the register, it is a place where the customers really do matter. Be sure to ask for Jacob or Sebastian.

However, they sold us over $8,000 worth of tile when we actually needed only $5,000. Then they refused to take the extra back even though we complied with their return policy. We've reached out twice now for satisfaction and they haven't responded (TS, you have my phone number. You know who I am. Please call). Judging from other reviews on this site, apparently they mistreat a lot of their Customers. Now we're stuck with $3,000 worth of new tile that we can't do anything with. So, don't buy anything from this place unless you want to spend a few grand on unused ceramic that's going to gather dust in your basement for thirty years.

Then we were told there wasn't so we had to go back to the showroom and pick out another tile. Very weak communication between inventory and showroom departments. Sure enough, same issue. Back to the showroom. Picked another tile that we had to wait a month for. In the meantime our tile man is working on our project with another tile that is to be paired up with. Shipment comes in and they are short one box. Now we are told they dont know when or where they can get that missing box of tile. May have to redo the whole job. So frustrating. Our tile man told us that ever since the original owner sold to big corporation the company has really gone downhill. Has had problems with other jobs too. Wish he never would have recommended this very incompetent establishment. Go somewhere else and save yourself a lot of GRIEF

Maybe you can get them on Saturday, oh nope not open for pickup on weekends! Then there's the pricing that's WAY more expensive than other stores even for tile that's just printed images, nothing special. My porcelain mosaic tile I got chipped along numerous edges very easily. Whereas the porcelain tile I got from another store you could almost scuff diamonds with. This place is not worth your tile at all.

My friend and I were greeted by the Showroom Manager Diane LaFlair, who was sitting behind the concierge desk. She asked us to sign in and whether we were looking for something in particular. We signed in, and answered we were just browsing. My friend was looking for bathroom floor tiles. Diane did not come across as particularly friendly, but was courteous enough to thank us for signing in; so far, so good. We roamed around a bit, and saw three different styles that were of possible interest. We went back to Diane - who unlike her colleague, who was actively engaged with another prospective client, had not moved from her desk - and let her know we wanted to compare certain tiles side by side on the floor. Diane finally stood up and walked over to the wall where one of the three samples was, and my friend asked if Diane could "put it down", pointing at the tile. Meaning, can you pick it up off the wall and lay it on the floor? I think it is a reasonable request, one doesn't want to have a klutzy moment and mistakenly drop a tile on the floor and break it. Store employees should handle fragile objects... Diane disappeared. After a couple of minutes we walked to her desk, and she was "putting" it down on the computer... As an order? We were confused, and corrected the impression. It was clear that we were not going to get help from Diane, so I picked up the tile and put it on the floor. Then since Diane was not going to assist us, we went around the store, picked the other two samples and laid them on the floor next to the original one so we could finally compare. Diane got up from her seat and was now standing next to us. While my friend and I were discussing the tiles, Diane started helping a new comer. She was all smiles. Meanwhile we made a selection, that was going to be a purchase order, and we - again no help from Diane - put back the other two tiles on their respective places on the wall, leaving the one we wanted on the floor. Diane then says: Do you mind if I move this one from the floor so nobody can trip on it? I say: sure that makes sense, it is the one we are going for. Diane picks it and instead of writing down the information, or setting aside, she walks off with the tile, puts it back on the wall, and goes to actively assist the newcomer I mentioned earlier. My friend and I looked at each other in disbelief. We walked out. I hope the owner of this place reads this review. Diane has no idea of what customer service is, lost a sale for not paying attention and being very cold and unhelpful, and she may have issues serving minorities...

I have contacted them about the warranty and company failed to respond even after a certified letter. We have video and photo evidence that shows complete damage to our property, even after they attempted to resolve an issue. The Flooring Company sent out a cleaning crew and painter to attempt to resolve some issue, which ultimately failed. There are numerous soft spots throughout the floors, confirmed by numerous contractors after installation. We aren't asking for perfection but a professional job after spending over $25,000 for flooring. Your business practices we have experienced has been deceptive and unprofessional. UPDATE: Owner sent me an email asking to remove my bad review or he will pursue legal action. Watch out! Deceitful! The photos reflect the condition of which The Flooring Company LLC left my property in after they completed the job. I had to complain and push to get a cleaning crew which was ineffective (I had to spend $400 to get a cleaning crew to come out after The Flooring Company LLC's cleaning crew "cleaned" the property). Additionally, The Flooring Company LLC hired a painter to patch the damage to my walls, which did a poor job. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional company. I'm looking forward to The Flooring Company LLC to post the final images and videos of their flooring at my property--which would be downright embarrassing for their company. See you in court very soon!

Our consultant was Jacqueline. With her interior design eye and knowledge, it was easy to wade through the options and make decisions. We weren't aware they also carried tile and were thrilled to get that coordinated too. Way easier than our experience at a major tile store that was overwhelming and we had little help. As first-time builders, Jacqueline's guidance was so appreciated and we are thrilled with our choices. A class operation, that we highly recommend. Doug and Connie C.

It honestly felt like the shopping scene from Pretty Woman--as though she had decided, based solely on our appearance, that we could not afford to shop there and were not worth her time. For the record, my daughter is an accomplished paramedic with a master's degree, pre-med student, and I am a business owner. We had both the means and the intention to purchase a slab for a large custom bathroom remodel. We simply did not find a slab we liked. Of course, none of those credentials should be required for a customer to receive basic courtesy and professional service. The experience angered me, but what bothered me most was seeing how deeply the salesperson's treatment hurt my daughter. No customer should be made to feel small, embarrassed, or out of place because they arrived at a stone warehouse wearing shorts and T-shirts. We will purchase our slab elsewhere. Dwyer lost our business because of the way we were treated--not because of its prices or inventory. Management should seriously examine how customers are judged, greeted, and treated in this showroom.
