Every crew member was courteous, neat, and hardworking, and the renovation was completed in 2- 1/2 of the estimated 3-4 months. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work done by all involved, and we now happily make daily use of a previously avoided space. More: I was the naysayer on this project and I was wrong. My husband wanted to renovate our dreary basement to give me more space for all my hobbies. We had finished the space 30 years ago on the (very) cheap: carpeted exercise room, a tiny office, a bathroom with a shower no one used, and a crammed unfinished laundry room that also contained a former coal bin lined with shelving. An unfinished cold storage room behind the office held old paint and garden supplies. The spaces were functional, but they were dingy, worn, uninviting, and, consequently, not often used. The laundry room was kind of creepy. I couldn't imagine that improving our small, low-ceilinged space would justify what remodels cost these days, but Ryan and Dana helped us see the possibilities. While keeping the price down, they created a large office/art/sewing room with two long built-in desks, each with wonderful deep drawers, and made the laundry/utility area more usable by dismantling the coal bin and painting the walls and floor. They upgraded the quality of the entire basement with a beautiful banister, vinyl wood flooring, better lighting, solid wood doors, and lovely bathroom fixtures. AND they added a window in the office for a bit of natural light. What a difference! We actually exercise in the exercise room, and the other spaces are just a delight. Now it feels more like a "lower level" than a basement. Greenleaf transformed our basement into a wonderful extension of our home's living areas. We highly recommend Ryan, Dana, right-hand-man Todd, and the entire Greenleaf team.

He offered no more information, so we said $7k, but that we had plenty of leeway, depending on what was proposed. He gave no indication of whether or not this was reasonable, but did say that he would have the designer he works with contact us. Fast forward 2 weeks with no contact, my wife called him to inquire about the designer and estimate. He responded that our budget wasn't high enough, and that it wouldn't be a good fit. If that was the case, he could have told us that when we threw out the $7k. He could have provided some expertise and guidance when we initially said that we didn't know what it should cost. He could have called back or emailed us that he wasn't going to do any work for us. Basically, he could have done many things that are more professional than what he did.

Brian was honest, kind, hardworking, and straightforward from the beginning--our project was delayed due to COVID and so Brian and his team helped us setup an existing room for our 1st born daughter, as she was originally planned to get a room upstairs after the renovations. Over the next 2 years, 2020-2022, we kept in touch with Brian and he guided us, based on our budget, when we could kickoff our renovation--based on material cost post Covid. We knew going in, and Brian assured us, that we had an old house and we were going to run into surprises and unforeseen costs once we started taking the house apart. That said, Brian kept all costs at a minimum and worked with us, with incredible professionalism, anytime an unforeseen cost occurred. The entire Tilley team treated us like family, cared for our home (made it literally as strong as a tank), and truly finished every room gorgeously. After several estimates on the cost, we chose Kret Kitchen and Bath, on Eureka off of Fort St in Wyandotte. We were very impressed with their showroom and just walking into it gave me great inspiration and choices that helped me put it all together. We live in a two story Colonial which is decorated in the country theme. I wanted that same look as well for the new bathroom. Mike was a great help in making suggestions and bringing ideas to my attention. A pleasant surprise to me as I can surely be a normal female who thinks she has done all her homework on decorating! Mike was outstanding in his communication on the progress being done, any wait time on the choices we made, or just a simple check in to see how we were liking the choices we made, from the very beginning, right to the end of the job, we really appreciated that Mike! The area around the bathroom was prepped with a plastic wall to keep the dust from seeping into the bedrooms, plastic on the stairs and our front entrance foyer, was covered for protection with the outmost respect for our home. The crew lead by James and included Steve, Lyle and many other workers whose names I don't recall. These guys were just the best, polite, cheerful, always answered our questions with great knowledge, always on time, and if they were going to be late never failed to call us. All the choices I selected turned out to be winners and we couldn't be happier!! We highly recommend Kret, they are the real deal, the workers are a real asset, their products are excellent quality. From the start, he was easy to communicate with and work with. He walked through our current house so we could talk through design/function that we liked or didn't like about our current living situation, asked us for our design inspiration with likes/dislikes, and then designed a home that is even better than we had imagined. Importantly, he thought about function, not just appearance, and how we would really use spaces based on how we live our life as a family. The 3D renderings were very helpful in visualizing the spaces, and they also gave us things to be excited about during the process. He always responded quickly and professionally, and he really took our ideas into account. Living in our house now is like a dream. We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful (and functional) space. Rufino is a true artist. We don't plan on leaving this house anytime soon, but if we had the opportunity to design another home, we would 100% reach out to Rufino again.

My biggest fear was if mold was behind the tile - he was confident it wasn't. But of course I asked if it was and he did give me a price like I asked so I would be prepared. The work took 2 days due to drying time and he was able to work with my weird schedule as well. Definitely will use company in the future.
