After calling around to a few places, I decided to come here, and I'm really glad I did! This specific MRI is mobile! It's parked outside and about the size of a semi truck. Well, it is a semi truck, but it's converted, so its huge. There's also a lobby where you go to check in and fill out paperwork with the lady behind the counter. She was super nice, and I was able to actually print the paperwork off their website. That saved me at least a good 15 minutes. I only had to sign on additional document when I got there, so I was ready to go. After a few minutes of waiting, a really nice man came out and called my name. He was SO COOL. He took me out to the machine and we went up on the ramp inside the truck. He opened the door (it looked like a garage door) and there was a little office with all kinds of equipment in it! It was just like a doctors office. I love it! He talked me through what to expect and I had to take off my jewelry, and a few other things. After a few questions and answers, off to the machine! He whipped out the bed and said that it's A) going to make a ton of noise, and most importantly, B) Don't move! I also got to listen to the radio through headphones while I was there. They also have a curtain area if you need to do a quick change. It's not huge, but if you need a private second like I did, it is there. I will say, the machine is super loud, and I could hear it imaging even with the headphones on. The radio wasn't super good, it sounded more like an AM radio. The noise didn't bother me, and the music was a super nice touch. I also had pillows for my head and underneath my knees, which made it slightly more comfortable. Overall, I really actually enjoyed my time here. Kudos to the two guys working the machine, they really did a super job. Warm, friendly and made my day. The whole thing took a little over 30 minutes or so. It flew by, and I was done before I thought I was going to be. Thank you Oakland MRI. Thank you so much for helping for correcting this and helping me and explaining everything!! Old review I would give them 0 starts but I'm only giving 2 for the fact that Melissa was so amazing. I got some test results that I needed to take time to process. The doctor that was in on Wednesday October 23 and whoever was in on Monday November 4th were terrible and rude!!! I called November 4th to ask questions and the dr that was working was extremely rude. No care at all that something could possibly mentally affect someone. If you want to be talked to like you're stupid and Drs who have no regard for peoples feelings then this would be the place for you. MELISSA WAS AMAZING THO. She was so sweet and helpful.

However, come to find out that the computer wasn't working at its best today I realized I was being a naggy complainer with mostly first world problem concerns. I should chill out. Point is sometimes the delay and other ruts happen out of people's control. This wasn't the worker's fault but a technological issue. Now on to the review.... Clean office, super fast work, aside from the technical difficulties. Only one worker, I got my blood work done asap which was great. The lady was super kind and approachable had a good little conversation while she took my blood which is a great distractor since I am horridly afraid of needles.

Should've known then to go somewhere else when basic business office protocol isn't professional. Then I was called to say the 2:30 appt needs to be changed to 3:30. Ok. No problem. Start my hour drive to get a call asking us to arrive earlier, we can't as we are too far away but should get there at 3:15pm. Then arrive to an overcrowded waiting room and am still sitting here an hour and 1/2 later before finally being called for MRI. Another 40 minutes and finally done. Paid in full though. A little less than $400 for a shoulder.

The woman at the front desk was very nice and the three doctors that performed my procedures were very nice, personable and down to earth. They offered transportation services at no cost and were very prompt with the pickup. I arrived to the office and was immediately assisted. The girls at the front were very welcoming and assured me that I would be seen in just a few minutes. The office has a very comforting environment and vibe where refreshments, snacks and drinks are available to enjoy. It was very quick service and the machine was wide and didn't interfere with my claustrophobia. I was comfortable in it. I was treated very well and will tell everyone about the great experience I received at this facility.
