This was an A+ experience from start to finish. I called and was so pleased that a live human being answered the phone. None of this "press 1 for this, press 2 for that" nonsense. The check in was smooth and easy, and the waiting room was very comfortable. Lots of cozy chairs and pleasant lighting. The two receptionists were very polite and put my mind at ease (I was super nervous.) The technician took the time to explain everything to me and put on the music I asked for. My family will not be going back and you should RUN!!!! My loved one has a history of cancer and went for a cash out-of-pocket test today that was scheduled over one week ago. This test was to see if the cancer is still in remission. We arrived at Basha Royal Oak to check in, were charged for the visit, undressed, and then told that the test could not be done due to labs that were needed prior to testing. When we asked why we were not given this information as part of the prep instructions, the young man at the front desk said, "It is not our responsibility to inform the patient of the labs it's the doctor's job." I asked for the manager, and the manager and "Mr. Basha" came out and accepted no accountability. He got loud, stating, "It was the damn doctor that ordered the test fault." He then started saying, "I have kidney cancer and prostate cancer too," in front of a lobby full of people. I told him that we were leaving due to him being rude AND violating HIPAA privacy laws, which I will be reporting!!! This place is a joke! GO TO RMI INSTEAD!!! read more

The technician who did my spinal mri had no compassion of my severe claustrophobia. A week after my mri, I had to call to get my results sent yo me through email. There are people sitting and chit chatting behind the receptionist area. The lobby is cluttered. Patients are treated like cattle. My question to technician about my continuous glucose monitor was met with, I should have checked that myself on google prior to my appointment. And I need to look it up on google before I go into the mri machine to ensure my safety with it being on me. read more

I went to Basha Diagnostics for an MRI on my knee after a bad fall. Because of the holidays, it was hard to get an earlier appointment anywhere else, so when someone recommended Basha and they were able to get me in two days sooner, I thought I got lucky. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. They called me 3x just to confirm my appointment. Then on the day of the appointment, things got ridiculous. I received TEN phone calls from different staff members. One person would call wanting to move my appointment earlier, and then a minute later someone else would call telling me to come later. It was obvious the staff doesn't communicate with each other at all. I confirmed my appointment time multiple times, and they still kept changing it. I adjusted my schedule twice based on their requests, and yet the calls kept coming. Every time I hung up, another staff member would call seconds later asking the exact same thing. They took up my entire day with constant back-and-forth, and I couldn't do anything else because I was trying to keep up with their nonstop changes. Finally, they asked me to come in at 7 PM, even though I was already there early because they told me to come earlier. When I arrived, the waiting room was packed. There were at least 14 people ahead of me, and I didn't get seen until 8:30 PM. I didn't leave until almost 9pm for an MRI. I've never experienced anything like this before. To be fair, the staff and tech were friendly once I was actually inside. The care was great, but the scheduling chaos and complete lack of communication made this one of the most stressful medical experiences I've had. After everything, I found out I had a meniscus tear and an MCL sprain, so this was not a simple visit for me. The last thing I needed was unnecessary stress. I would not recommend this place unless they seriously fix their scheduling and communication issues. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had one of the worst medical experiences here. I was told ahead of time that my MRIs would be fully covered. Then, one hour before my daughter's appointment, I received a call saying I had to pay $350 upfront or her appointment would be canceled. I felt completely pressured and had no choice but to pay. About a week and a half later, I found out my insurance actually covered everything 100%, so I never owed that money. I was told I would receive a refund once the insurance paid and my account showed a credit. The credit has been there since April 7, and I still have not received my money. Now I'm being told I have to call to request the refund and wait 6 to 8 more weeks. That makes no sense. It was quick and easy for them to take my payment, but extremely difficult to get it back. On top of that, during a phone call about my account, I could hear Dr. Yahya Basha yelling in the background. I have never experienced that level of unprofessional behavior from a doctor. Even my insurance company had trouble getting answers, being transferred multiple times just to reach billing. Overall, the communication is poor, the staff is rude, and the billing practices are frustrating. I would not recommend this facility. There are much better options out there with professional staff and a higher level of care. read more

The staff who managed the MRI process were excellent. However, the radiologist who signed the brief report was entirely incorrect. They rated the possibility of cancer as a 5 on a scale of 1 to 5. Their misinterpretation or lack of knowledge regarding the MRI images caused me to live in unwarranted fear of cancer until I sent the same images to another medical institution for a detailed radiology report, which completely disregarded the possibility of cancer. I believe the medical report from this facility cannot be trusted and is useless. It is not worth the copay or the drive to this facility. ZERO STAR. read more

This facility is close to my home and convenient location for my scheduling needs, but there customer service is lacking my son was supposed to have an MRI i called in prior to his arrival to inform them I would be using my Hsa card and to not charge his card on file. He was still charged and this is the 2nd time this has ball at this location. I called back and got the operator which he refused to give me his name stating he did not trust people I had to get the manager at the front desk involved in order to finally find out who I was speaking to Jay. The amount they told me I owed was more then what it actually was after the claim was processed by my insurance company. This place is terrible! They asked me to come a day early for my MRI, then called me to come in earlier than my 4pm appt. I did thinking they had cancellations and wanted to get out of work (it was a holiday so I get it). I waited over 2 1/2 hrs, well past the original time I was scheduled. Spent a total of 3.25 hrs after being nice and showing up early. They told me I would get my report emailed . Still haven't seen it and they sent a report for someone else to my doctor. I reached out 3 weeks after, to basha diagnostic department and was told that their computer is down and that I needed to call the billing company instead I called their billing company, as suggested by them and computerised questions were asked I answered the questions and waited and waited and there was no response whatsoever then abruptly was connected to Survey department. I waited and waited for the survey and there was no connection to any surveys! They intentionally overbook appointments so they're rarely on time. So after fasting for four hours you show up and wait another hour or more to get in. I walked in 10 minutes early to a full waiting room and asked the receptionist how far behind they were running and why? She said 35 minutes which I knew was too optimistic, and she admitted they overbook to ensure their machines are constantly in service. I waited 15 minutes and decided they're inconveniencing their customers for their own benefit, and walked out. I'll easily find somewhere else that treats their customers better than this stupid place! Just look at all the negative reviews they have, it's a wonder they stay in business at all. read more

I've just had my third MRI done here and I won't go anywhere else for one. I have severe claustrophobia where hospitals aren't able to sedate me enough to get a clear picture so I started coming here and its been a game changer for me. I'm no longer yelled at for shaking (uncontrollably) from fear. Yes, I've been yelled at, at more than one hospital for shaking when I have no control. I am able to get an appointment fairly quickly as they are open on weekends and evenings. They offer both oral and iv sedation. This is the only place I will go for MRIs and I'm so thankful for them. Despite the fact that I am a difficult person to MRI, the staff has always been super nice and the doctor kind and patient rather than judgemental about my being so claustrophobic, like other places have been. It's such a different place compared to others and im finding that while waiting for this last MRI I wasn't as anxious as I would normally be and I think that's because I knew Basha had done it so well before that I didn't have to worry. When I got there, I wasn't nearly as anxious as I'd normally be and everything went smoothly. I love Basha. I'm sorry others have less than great experiences because I think they can be really helpful for people like me, or even those that need something like an open MRI. read more

They demand a $350 deposit towards your procedure, regardless of your insurance. After the procedure and once the insurance was ran through, I now have a credit of $270. The reception staff are absolutely awful. They texted me to tell me to call them about my appointment and kept putting me on hold when I did. They passed me around to 3 different people who didn't know why I was supposed to call. The last person I spoke to had an attitude and said they couldn't leave sensitive information by text or voicemail. The "sensitive information" they apparently couldn't leave was to let me know to call to confirm my appointment, which is something any of them should have been able to know and do when I called. I showed up for my appointment an hour early like they said to and my appointment was still not done on time. It was the most unorganized MRI experience I've had. read more

Appointment went off on time in and out, organized Iwas very happy. The office was very clean and the employees were awesome.

My son's appointment was at 12:15pm and it is currently 1:44pm. He was hungry so I asked if we can go get something to eat at 1:00pm and they said he will be seen at n 15 minutes and here we sit 30 minutes later and still sitting here. Our orthopedic doctor warned us, and told us to not go to Basha but go to Beaumont. They were able to do some faster so I made the huge mistake. We had a great experience with Basha Open MRI. We had doctors orders and was able to get in the same day. When we called other places it was about a 10 day wait. Shout out to MRI Technician Ryan, he was AWESOME. Super helpful in getting my husband and his bad knee up onto the table and prepped for the test. We even got to meet Dr. Basha who was still on site at 11 pm when we finished up our MRI. We recommend this facility (Birmingham location). It was nice to have a choice outside of "the system" which moves slow. read more

Be careful here. They performed a HIPAA violation. I went in for an MRI and was given my disc with my MRI to then went to a doctor's office. Once I got to the doctors office, they looked at the desk and realized that Basha gave me the wrong persons disc. On top of that, the office seems very dirty unorganized, and a lack of people knowing what's going on. read more

This place is a joke, took my daughter for an MRI, she wasn't seen until 2 hours after her original appointment time, they called to see if we could come later bc they were running behind, ok fine, we did, upon arrival we were told to take a seat and someone would be with us to check us in, we were ignored until I finally spoke up after multiple people who walked in after us were checked in. This place is so disorganized, the decor looks like you're at a nail salon, cheap and trashy...and the desk staff is unprofessional...but wait there's more, after charging me $425.00 the day of her MRI I have now been waiting for over 5 months for a refund bc they charged me more than what my insurance cost was. I have been calling the billing department since February 11th, 2025 and have been given every excuse under the sun... "Oh sorry we had a data breach things are delayed bc of it", "Oh you are the next group of people to get your checks", "Oh your check should be there in a week, it was sent out" the excuses go on. Now 2 months after the last excuse and my check never came, I've been told "It's been processed but they have no reference number or check number and they are escalating the issue, I should have my refund in 2-3 weeks". They had no problem taking my money, why is it such a problem getting the money I am owed?! This place seems like a bunch of scammers with a billing department that has a whole transcript of bullshit excuses to give you on why you haven't got your refund, it seems like they want you to forget they owe you money. It's absolutely ridiculous I only knew they owed me money bc of my insurance explanation of benefits, they have never contacted me. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be scammed out of money. Oh one more thing, they have been contacted multiple times by my daughters secondary insurance for a simple form and they have not replied so now the secondary insurance has put our claim into inactive status. I really wish I read the INSANE AMOUNT of negative reviews before going here! I couldn't even make it to my appointment because the people on the line are extremely rude and incompetent! They speak to you as if you're wasting their time and the guy who is the operator is extremely unhelpful and horrendous at his job. The "lady" in authorizations couldn't handle anything when confronted for their incompetence and she HUNG UP IN MY FACE after stating she's not gonna "deal with it". What kind of garbage service does this place offer? They literally spit in the patients faces when they call if it's even somewhat a challenge for them. Went in for MRI for upcoming knee surgery end of March. They told me I had to pay $250 because my deductible hadn't been met. I paid with no issue. Here it is the end of May and they have not billed my insurance because they SAY their billing system is still down.......since February. Had they been honest with me, I would've gone elsewhere. As of today, I've had to pay all of my deductible with other providers and they owe me my money back. This is unacceptable and I'll be filing complaints with Blue Cross, Medicare, and the State of Michigan. read more

I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and was not seen until an hour and 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Everyone else in the lobby was also seen much later than their scheduled appointment time, clearly this office does not know how to properly schedule appointments. Everyone's time is valuable and spending an hour of your day waiting in a lobby due to incompetence is absolutely ridiculous. But if you go there, make sure you really look into their billing and double check with your insurance company.. something is very suspicious with their billing and I don't appreciate it, even if it was a mistake because that kind of mistake could've cost me a couple hundred dollars. Basha has owed me $200 for 18 months for a service we prepaid for that was covered 100% by insurance. I have spent over 10 hours of my time trying to get reimbursed. That has yet to happen. My insurance company has tried to help as well with no success. Their customer service is terrible. I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know the same! read more
