The Arlington Heights was just as bad and I'm not sure what the problem is. I went on a Friday at 2:45 and left at 5:30. Completely unnecessary.

I hate writing this review because Dr. Piotrowski is amazing but I will NOT go to this location…read moreagain (St. Alexius Medical Center). As others have said the ophthalmologist is amazing but my time is not valued. I again brought this up to them and they advised me that they state I should allocate 2 hours for each appointment. Each time I seem to have to wait idle for at least an hour. This time I took notes. Appointment was at 10:30 10:30-10:45 waited to be seen 10:45-10:55 brought into the first room and I spoke w/ a very knowledgeable lady. 10:45-11:52 sent to a back waiting area which had no seats available. 11:52-11:59 sent to another patient room waiting for my doctor. 11:59-12:04 saw my doctor and expressed my dissatisfaction w/ sitting for over an hour waiting to which his assistant notified me that I should allocate 2 hours for each appointment. The doctor suggested I try to take an appointment at the beginning of the day. I will try their Arlington Heights facility once but if it's like this I'll sadly have to find a new doctor. If you value your time, I would sadly have to steer you to someone who appreciates your time as much as you do.

I am blessed to be referred to this practice and to have chosen Dr. Maj. If I had to make a list…read moreof all the qualities one would like in a physician & surgeon, this man simply checks all the boxes. Preop, intraop and postop care by him and his trusted team members has been simply superior--he walks in many days to a roomful of patients, yet makes his way through them all in a calm and precise manner. My drive to his office is ~50 miles, but he is worth the extra time and effort. He performed cataract extraction & corneal transplant on both my eyes during 2024 and 2025, and I am over 80 yrs old--came through both with flying colors. Cannot say enough good about both his care and my care at Alexian Bros Hospital, where he operates--top flight all. Mary R.

After 2 years and numerous optical specialists who could find no reason that my 68-year old eyes could not be corrected to better than 20-65, the recommendation of all professionals was to have my mild cataracts removed. The result is that, although I do not need glasses for distance, my vision remains 20-65 and now I have no mid or near vision without reading glasses. My mid and near vision was fine before the procedures. I feel that I am worse off than before. His offices feel like a surgical factory. The H.E. one is crowded, dingy and unpleasant. He charges a fortune and, somehow (and with no explanation) I also needed follow up laser surgery on each eye, which was quick and painless but cost over $1,000 per eye! The whole thing made me feel like part of a scam. Steer clear.
