I never actually saw the eye doctor, I saw a gentleman who said he was a student eye doctor working with her ( I was very happy with his service though). It might be okay for some but not for me..... Best of all, they have an excellent children's area. There were books, puzzles, and even coloring pictures available. I found a really cue pair of glasses that I still get complimented on, and I've never had a problem with my prescription (no eye strain, headaches, etc.). This time I went to discuss contacts, which I haven't worn in years. He did another exam to ensure that I didn't need an adjustment and then gave me a pair of trial contact lenses to try out. They fit and were the correct prescription. He also offered for his assistant to give me a refresher course on putting in and taking out the contacts, which was great. She's a VERY astute business woman, professional and thorough to the tee. In all of the years of eye exams, I've never ever had someone be so precise and thorough with my exam, explaining every single step through the process to a "t" I see her growing her business to a much bigger practice in the future with maybe 1 or 2 employees but she's the type of entrepreneur who prefers to do things herself so it's done right the 1st time. If you don't like her style then adapt to it as she's being completely 110% honest with her customers and note that her time is valuable. So if she calls you, answer - if not then it's on you to follow-up. Word of advice - don't blow off/miss your appointment as she does charge a fee if you do. I went to return today and had an incredibly disappointing experience that made me never want to return and tell Dr. Ghanayem that she needs an attitude adjustment. Sometimes, when a person goes someplace they go to browse and not purchase anything immediately. I went solely with the intention of purchasing glasses and not getting an eye exam. I went to a different eye doctor and received a prescription. The times posted on the door and website say that the location is open Monday - Friday from 9:00-7:00 PM and Saturday 8:00-5:00 PM or by appointment only. It turns out that is a complete lie. I called at 4:10 PM to ask what time they were open until and Dr. Ghanayem said they weren't. I inquired as to what she meant and told her I could be there in 45 minutes and listened to her complain about how I should try to get there faster. I'm sorry I work a full day at my job. I told her I wanted to look at glasses. I arrive within 30 minutes and almost immediately she starts giving an attitude complaining how she had to wait 45 minutes for me. I tell her that I would like glasses without a bottom rim and she shows me 5 different styles in between complaints of how I need to change my style and I'm picky. We then switch to 2 different styles which I told her I wouldn't like and didn't and I get even more of an attitude. She tells me that she can order the glasses I have and then complains the model number is worn out and she can't. By this point I am just fed up with her attitude. I tell her that I'll come back another day. I tell her a time in the evening I am available and her comment is "if I come in the evening, I better buy glasses." She then tells me what about Saturday and I tell her i'm not free and I get more attitude. I was now beyond fed up and told her I would call her back and make up an excuse about needing to come back with my Mom. 2 minutes after leaving, she tries to call me 3 times. The 3rd time she left a message which made me want to tell everyone how rude she is and made me beyond disgusted in her. Instead of apologizing for her attitude, she says how I didn't complete the order and wasted her evening orders. If I want to make an appointment in the afternoon, that she wants to make sure I actually order something. If I come in, I have to purchase glasses or she can't let me make an appointment. Definitely never returning and I would never recommend this location or Dr. Ghanayem to anyone.

I really like Dr. Bendikas!…read more My whole visual field exam was done in one visit, even though they did not write the type of appointment down, due to privacy concerns. Everything went very smoothly. One thing about this doctor I like is that he will give you his honest opinion. I guess it's easy for me to say that as I passed the exam with flying colors, but I think I would prefer that anyway. He gave me some really good advice the first time I came in to see him and I appreciated it. It saved me both money and insurance hassles. My father also sees Dr. Bendikas, and my mother used to see him too. Unfortunately, she has a complicated vision issue and he felt she needed a specialized care. He recommended someone else and he turned out to be the best specialist in the Chicagoland area. I can honestly say I think Dr. Bendikas is not only a good doctor, but a doctor that can be trusted to give good advice.

Shortly Dr. Park took me into the examination-room and performed the necessary tests. She is very gracious and precise in her practice. I felt completely comfortable and realized that her main concern is to promote my good health. She practices a genuine calling. I have already picked up my eyeglasses and am gratified at how well I am seeing. The entire procedure of getting the eyes tested and frames selected and fitted took less time than I've ever experienced in the past.
