Her communication was like speaking to a child. I would ask the same question repeatedly and the question would be dodged. I had my taxes submitted like 3 months late (which I totally would get if she had told me that it would happen) while I was trying to plan a wedding (which she knew) and put me in a financial situation I was not prepared for because of her poor communication. When I took this up with management then was a lot of "oh well covid 19 and what have you" I'm sorry but covid 19 didn't keep anyone from simply saying "hey we are really backed up and we are filing you an extension and expect to submit your taxes at X date we will let you know if that changes". Nope just didn't tell me even though I repeatedly asked. Then they charged me for something I didn't get any quote for the charge not to mention she just gave me bad advice over and over again that put me in the position of dealing with bureaucratic agencies I didn't need to even deal with given my businesses status and operation. This whole field unfortunately tends to work this way because the tax system is so wonky that people with complex situations need an additional degree to know how to interact with it but damn I'm putting my livelihood in your hands and you can't even reply to an email in an appropriate manner. Dean Koch, CPA, helped my husband and I sort through the quagmire of our W2s. He also helped sort our move from CA to WA, as well as sort through the ending benefits of having worked for one corporation and going to work for another. While Mr Carina M and I are not fans of having to pay taxes (and they're a freakin' DOOZY this year!), we wanted to get them done right and did them right he did! Again, I wish we didn't have to pay so much, but...I'd rather pay now than be audited later and told, "Girl, you messed up your taxes 4 years ago and you need to pay us NOW." Something told me that TurboTax wasn't going to cut it. So glad we came here. Next year, we will definitely be coming back for our taxes...and we plan on working with Dean later on in the year to go over our withholdings for when we do taxes of 2015.

Though the tax preparer who works for them told me he would get my taxes done April 6-7th and his boss should likely be able to review and call me Monday April 8th, I didn't hear from anyone until Friday April 12th, regardless of my repeated calls and leaving messages. Even a text that would've taken 1-2 minutes to reassure me was just too much to expect from them this past week. What I do see is five or six reviews, all sent yesterday by whoever, to bury the truth I revealed in my first Yelp entry a day ago. Thank you very much Yelp for making a difference when business dealings might stomp on the customer.
