I was very skeptical of having this procedure done on me and it took several months to book the appointment. I certainly did my due diligence and read up on microblading. There's quite a bit of information out there and not all of it is good: some of it is downright frightening with inferences of infections, poor results, etc. After all, this is our face, right? Anyway, I met with Lorena and told her to please be "conservative" with my new brows: she was and they are wonderful. It's only been 2 days and I can see they will be awesome. She was very attentive, considerate and really wanted to hear from me: my concerns, my desires, my hopes. Even though I told her many times. I was a "pansy" for pain, she didn't mind. I will tell you the initial "pass" with the blade was a little painful, but after the Novocain was applied (several times) everything went fine. Coming from "Miss I Don't Want to Feel Any Pain", that's quite a statement. So, take it from someone who was exceptionally scared, cautious and skeptical, I am very pleased. Lorena is a great gal, a professional, a wonderful technician and a caring human being. I have no qualms about referring her to anyone who wants to bolster their brows and their look. At one point, I have to find her on IG, because she was not responding to my text messages Another point, I wasn't sure if her number was still working She used a picture of my hairline as advertisement on her website, it is from the day of the procedure, all ink in that picture fell off within a week. Valentina is a gem. I came here to get my eyebrows microbladed for the first time and Valentina made me feel comfortable and safe. I bought a Groupon and went to her West Hollywood location. She is located at suite 124 at Phoenix Salon. Parking: I couldn't find parking on the street next to the salon so I parked on Orange and walked a small distance to the salon. There's also metered parking as well. Arrival: I got a confirmation email and text well in advance asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did. Her confirmation email says that you need to come 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out paperwork. My appointment was at 2:30 p.m. and I arrived at 2:15 p.m. I filled out paperwork and sat outside her suite on a bench, waiting for my appointment time to come up. However, i did not get seen until 3:00 p.m. I did notice that she was working on another person so I didn't say anything. Environment: Her suite was spotless: Q-tips were in prospective jars and inks were neatly placed side by side. There was a nice bench to place my purse and she kindly offered to charge my iPhone because it was out of battery. The floor was clean and the place had no chemical smell or any smell in particular. Procedure: I'm not going to lie. The procedure did hurt but it was bearable. I wouldn't describe the pain as one from a tattoo needle. It was more of multiple small blades scraping your skin. She did apply a numbing solution but it only helped minimally. It wasn't that bad but my eyes brows were sore after. She taped a ruler on my forehead and freehand drew my eyebrows. She let me see them beforehand and explained to me that they weren't going to look that thick. The procedure took about 2 hours. She wasn't constantly scraping my brows though. There were breaks in between and I was grateful for that. Personality: Valentina is a great person to talk to. She found common ground between us and we laughed. She's a lively person and genuinely loves what she is doing. If you have an issue, she'd prefer you to speak up than not. Results and Aftercare: There is a sheet of paper with aftercare instructions on it. She advised me to apply Neosporin on my eyebrows for three days and aquaphor on the following 8 days. The paper has all of the instructions. Please be aware that working out is discouraged for two weeks because sweat shouldn't be around the eyebrow area while it is healing. My results were great. My eyes brows were never easy to shape. They kind of grow everywhere. She was able to work wonders and all that pain, time, and money paid off. I wish I could have tipped her more but unfortunately I didn't have enough money at the time. I have a follow-up appointment scheduled in June, which is 2 months out. My Groupon said the follow-up appointment is 30 days out from the initial appointment but I don't mind waiting another month. It will be nice because by that time my brows will be healed and I can truly see if I want anything else tweaked. read more

Came here a few months ago and originally, I liked the work and service. However, everything went downhill from there. I've been trying to schedule a retouch and we agreed upon 8/5/19 by the person that schedules her appointment. Then she calls me and tells me 8/13/19 will be a better date and I agreed to that. Then I get a text saying my appointment is 8/5/19. I suppose I should have called to verify. I go and she says no the appointment is for 8/13/19. Today is 8/13/19, I go and I'm told it's not at 1:30, it's at 5pm. I don't understand. I even have a text message stating it's at 1:30pm. Valentina isn't a bad person but I'm very upset at the lack of organization. I wasted a lot of time commuting just so I could be rejected service again. If you come here I would suggest you verify everything with a text and verbally. I went to Valentina's location in West Hollywood on North La Brea and at the appointment, she walked me through the process and primped and plucked my eyebrows until I was satisfied with the shape. She even used a ruler to make sure that the eyebrows were even (see picture lol). Even though she used numbing cream before starting the microblading... the first pass with the tool HURT LIKE A B***CH! I felt every single scrape! I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I didn't say anything, which in hindsight I feel like I probably should have said something.... LOL. Very pleased with my enhanced eyebrows. I am older, so I did not want black and bold. She assured me she would use brown to better match my skin tone and hair. After drawing in the design, I did ask to not square them off as much in the center. I'm sure that is "the thing" for the younger people, but us oldies just want basic, simple, no drama. I will admit, I was a bit concerned when I got home and had dark brows, that seemed to scream at me! After a week, it was all fine. The first day at work a co-worker immediately said "You did something!" But she didn't know what exactly. That was a good sign. Again, after the touch up a month later, I was worried again that they were too dark, too wide, I'm too old for that look... but again, they healed, calmed down, and I am very happy with them. Valentina is nice and sweet so I dislike writing this review but I hope it helps someone else. I got lip liner tattoo done by Valentina over 2 months ago. After about 4 weeks my lip color didn't change. She told me my liner would match my natural lip color. I texted her and at about 24 days after getting tattooed to tell her my concerns. He said they she remembers my lips being swollen and it would take longer to heal. That was March 17th. I had a retouch with her on April 4th that she cancelled the day before. It's now May 17th and my lips are exactly the same, color discoloration and I look really awful. People star at my lips and now I need to either laser it off before anyone will correct them. Absolutely horrible. My brows are not smooth and rounded like the photos. My brows are angular and pointed with a light ash brown which clashed with my warm complexion and red hair. I have a square face and these brows make me look mad and harsh. I requested a warm red brown and these clash. Valentina was not nice or understanding and said you act like it's a unibrow. Valentina is very skilled and I have continued recommend her services to many of my friends I am currently on medications which appeared on the list of medications that may interact with the procedure and she willingly provided a trial for me to ensure my safety. Once I passed the trial period, she proceeded with the actual micro blading procedure. She remained very flexible with her time and was willing to make changes to accommodate my schedule I was able to visit two of her worksites and I prefer the one on LA. It is more spacious, clean, and quite. Please be cautious about: 1) The address of the site. The address on the Groupon sight is incorrect so I found myself at the wrong location. I was able to call Valentina and she gave my driving directions to the correct venue. 2) Pain. Pain is subjective so make sure you are able to prepare for the procedure. 3) Clarify the fees. The procedure includes an initial treatment and a touch-up. Make sure you ask what the fees are for both. My eyebrows look fabulous. I never thought it would look so great. I'm going to talk about my traumatic experience and will to try and make this as short as possible. I'll explain the microblading towards the end. I STILL FILL my brows so that the brows look NATURAL. That's so sucky isn't it. I have videos and pics of before and after she worked on them. You can clearly see I have done nothing to them...The brows are SO OFF that I have to work on them every morning. What a waste of hundreds of dollars for someone that makes themselves to be legitimate when they're not. She's even asked me to take down this review for a refund and I refuse to let people being deceived by a SHAM business and be RIPPED OFF. 1. I bought Lore Valentina's service online. It showed that I can go to a Beverly Hills or Santa Monica location. I called a number starting with 310 and spoke to Valentina. I booked the appt for the one in Beverly Hills, and we confirmed I will be at the one there. (the address and number wasn't correct on yelp, but it is the same girl I spoke to.) 2. Day of my appt, I had trouble finding the place. Called the 310 number, no one answered. A strange number starting from 424 called, it was still Lore Valentina. That's the one on yelp, but that's not the one I was provided or booked the appt with. She told me "You did not confirm appt I called you yesterday and today. You may come at 5pm to the location on Ventura blvd." Which is an hour later. I was shocked. 3. She said "You must come to the location on Ventura blvd or I cannot help you." An hour away from Beverly Hills...This was not one of two locations I saw online or that we had talked about. Nor had she told me prior when I booked or after, if I can come to Ventura blvd and not Beverly Hills. She hadn't even used the same number. Confused, I went because I felt I could trust Valentina as she talked ever so kindly to me. 4. I finally got to the location and could not find the place. It was very hidden behind the shops visible. Lost, I found it inside of a salon after asking. When I booked the appt I was never told to come to Ventura blvd. 5. Now I will start with the microblading experience. Valentina was on her laptop and talking to people, texting away, and kept being on her laptop ignoring me looooong after the topical numbing cream was applied for its duration of 20 minutes. It has now been 45 minutes. Instead of discussing shapes, color and density of my brows, she was handling everything unprofessionally. I just sat there patiently, not wanting this person I trusted to ruin the permanent brows I wanted if I said said something the wrong way. Finally, after another 15 minutes pass, we start talking brow work. We talked about how I desired them to be. Although she used a stick to find my arch the way any girl can, she did not use any measuring tools to accurately pin point the length of the brow. She used her eyes and fingers. 6. It gets worse.....I felt every...single...blade...dig and drag across my skin...It was too late...I couldn't get a refund as the work has already started...her numbing topical did not work, so she applied some more. I decided to take many pauses and breaks as we tried the cream again. I was in the worst pain of my entire life but I couldn't walk out looking like a clown. I had to get the work finished. I continued feeling excruciating pain. I've watched millions of videos of the microblading process being done. Everyone smiles, no one feels a thing, and some talk while recording...I was in disbelief this is what a "Microblading Expert" does for her job...I have many tattoos and a large piece on my thigh with colors and shading that didn't hurt the way this did. Not even close. This felt like torture. (check my insta on my profile if you want to see my tats) 7. I've had tattoos and surgeries. Nothing will ever feel as painful as this has felt. She is unprofessional in all aspects of business. Her work area was untidy I didn't even know where to place my purse. Do NOT let any of words or fake photos of a business profile fool you. I would NEVER recommend anyone to Valentina...or any of her "Microblading Expert Business". 8. As results to her awful microblading and non proper numbing topical, the pain sent my body into a sickness immediately after with lethargy and fatigue. That happens when your body is trying to fight. I had to miss work two days straight and sleep all day so my body could recover. I'm doing better now. If you're curious to know more about how my brows or see pics, you can message me.
