TLDR = would recommend everyone to come to Kelly. She made my experience fun - felt welcome and engaged in the process. My eyebrows have never been better. Exterior = 5/5 Located near the train station, it's on the corner of a street. There is parking (if you are lucky) inside but only a few spots, so most likely go for street parking but wasn't hard to find in front of the location. Interior = 5/5 It was bustling, they have a salon that had customers coming and going. I came specifically for the microblading - so Kelly brought me over to a room on the right that was private which I appreciated since after you close the door, it muffles the sounds of all the activity outside. Service = 5/5 Everyone I encountered were super kind and welcoming. Kelly is blowing up and doing all these cool events with her team with Gold House and still managing weddings all over. Yet, she is still so humble and takes her time to chat and learn more about the customer. I was super nervous to get microblading but she walked me through the process, helped me feel comfortable with the results we were planning, and would check in on me frequently through the whole thing. I felt like I had a say in the process and honestly that a friend was doing my brows - it was casual, relaxed, and chill. Order = 5/5 I got the combo brows which is microblading with powder. I will never not get this. I had patchy brows (over plucking, scarring, yikes) that I was super self conscious of growing up and was having to fill them in. Since getting these done - I barely have had to fill in, maybe a slight touch up if I have an event or need to do some make up. If you like bare faced and natural looks, this was game changing. I'm super not familiar with make up or skilled at it - enough to be dangerous, and this helped me so much. I feel more confident and happier with my brows. Only slight upkeep is needed to trim! I have already gotten my touch up from the initial appointment, and you only need to go maybe every year or so after to touch up. Overall = 5/5 Great investment that I kick myself for not having done sooner. But honestly, glad I waited till I found Kelly. I tried brow lamination, and it wasn't for me. Her microblading skills are top notch and give a very natural look which I wanted. I found my brow girl and never going back. I wake up at 5am everyday so anything to help me shave off some getting ready time helps. With my new brows I save so much time not having to draw them out and they're perfect every morning! It took me almost three years of research and consideration before I finally decided to have my brows done. Not going to lie, I was very nervous about this procedure. Microblading and soft powder shading are semi-permanent, meaning you wear the results every single day until they fade or you choose to make changes. I felt at ease from the start. As others have said, Kelly is truly amazing -- kind, friendly, welcoming, humble, genuine, beautiful, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. Within minutes of meeting her, I felt comfortable and at ease. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions, getting to know me, my preferences, and my lifestyle. She delivered exactly what I wanted, expertly defining my eyebrow shape, mapping it out, and discussing how natural I wanted them to look. She even ensured the color complemented my skin tone and hair. And she did all this from her pop-up location in San Francisco without her full arsenal of tools and with a broken foot! Now, three days after my appointment, my brows are healing beautifully. They look natural, flattering, and precisely how I'd hoped. The next thing I looked at of course was the prices; when it comes to something being done on my body, especially my face, you bet I'm going to want the best. I didn't want Beverly Hills prices just because it's Beverly Hills and I didn't want the overseas prices because it's so cheap either, I found Kelly Zhang Brow's prices are very reasonable, something I can save up for because it is an investment! I also like the fact that the pre and post care instructions were very detailed which tells me that they do care about the result and that I need to do my part too. I just got my brows touched up from Kelly after getting them done by her in May, and my brows look fantastic. Kelly really is an expert in her field and has an eye for shaping your brows that best complement your face. I had my brows micro bladed about 3 years ago from a popular brow artist who has a shop in Ktown, and, while they looked great when they were done, they faded to a horrific red hue after a couple years. Kelly was able to do damage control and micro blade over them to conceal the discoloring. If you're looking into micro blading your brows, I don't think you can find anyone better than Kelly and endorse her full heartedly. Also, she is incredibly personable and humble. Kelly's studio has been my go to for so many things in the past (haircuts, balayage, wedding makeup) that I knew I wanted her to do my brows as well. Had brows microbladed by Kelly! She's known as the best of the best, and her price reflects that. But I think it's super worth it! I specifically chose her because she's an MUA. In my opinion, it's not just about the microblading technique, but also about how well they can draw your brow shape! I didn't like my brow shape before I came to Kelly, but I also didn't know how to make it bettsr. I told her I'm leaving it up to her, the pro. And it was a good decision! I like how she took into consideration my face shape and designed a new shape for my brows. This new shape is a million times better and I love it! I had been debating to get my eye brows micro-bladed for a LONG TIME. I had never gotten a tattoo before and was afraid of the pain and the commitment of having possible jacked up brows FOREVER on my face. But then I stumbled across Kelly Zhang's website and discovered her procedure is semi-permanent and includes numbing cream. I emailed interested and received prompt responses to my MILLION questions. She also sent over a lengthy "what to expect" packet of info to help prepare me and help me understand what to do/not to do before the appointment. So patient and understanding- totally not pushy whatsoever- I finally felt reassured to go in and just do it. I saved my spot with the $100 retainer fee that went towards the overall cost. When I finally got to meet Kelly, Aug 4th, she was kind and welcoming. She even bought me and my fiancé 2 buns from the bakery next door. Entire process took about 2.5 hours. The process was much faster than anticipated. We discussed the shape and she penciled in the shape. After my approval- we discussed which color would be best for my natural hair color and complexion. Soon after-she numbed me out with cream. After 20 min- we were back in business and she did her magic with natural brush-like strokes mimicking actual brow hairs. The initial results were so good my fiancé was even impressed- and he doesn't notice eyebrow stuff normally! As my eyebrows healed- there was mild itchiness and darkness as the product set on my eyebrows. I was given an aftercare kit with helped with the healing process. My eyebrows were scabbing and small pieces slowly came off revealing a more natural brow look underneath.The brow appointment came with one touch up which allowed me to deepen the overall look to look more "shaded/makeup-like." Going in the 2nd time after about 6 weeks hurt a bit more because my eyebrows were still somewhat healing from the 1st procedure. BUT- worth every-single-penny. 2nd process took about 45 minutes. Overall, I am STILL loving the results! This process has SAVED ME SO MUCH TIME in my make up routine. Even when I don't wear make up- my face is still perfectly framed. The maintenance of my brows has now come to an occasional use of brow gel to set hairs in place and occasional use of a brow pencil to darken my brows if I want a more dramatic look. Typical grooming like tweezing and trimming are obviously still needed but the shape is already set. My brows have looked good through my bachelorette, wedding rehearsal dinner, wedding, honeymoon, and now almost 6 months later! Eventually, I will need a touch up which comes at a separate cost and augments with time. Cost: $100 deposit to hold appointment + $350 remaining balance Parking was limited so I'd recommend taking a ride share. read more
