Established patient of this practice for close to 4 years now. In that timeframe, I met with my…read morePCP, who ended up leaving, a total of 2-3 times. With a crazy work schedule (rotating nights/days at a hospital) I've had to reschedule an appointment or two. The most recent appointment was cancelled by the practice due to my PCP leaving. So having said that, I was met with one of the most inconsiderate encounters with Veronica, who I would assume is a front desk employee, over the phone while scheduling an appointment for the first time in over 1.5 years. Whenever scheduling appointments I have a sticky note handy to write the info down so this is a direct quote from Veronica: "well young lady you have cancelled three appointments and have no showed one so are you sure you are going to show up to this one?" *continues to go off on a tangent* If only I could convey her tone through this post you would understand my bewilderment. There have been no instances where I have "no showed" and quite frankly, you never know why people need to cancel appointments! Mind your business and keep your comments to yourself if it doesn't affect you! These are trying times with overworked/not enough physicians, which is the reason I have no where else to go at the moment. Encounters with just your front desk/scheduling staff can influence people to take their business elsewhere.

But that is the only positive I have seen with this office, and it is not enough to drag up the abysmal service and support of the rest of the practice. In regards to the actual physicians seeing patients, it seems like there is a LOT of turnover, so be prepared to either move offices to follow your PCP, or get used to hearing new names every time you need a visit. This is extremely frustrating for my situation, but may be a non-issue for others. The biggest issue is the rest of the staff. The seemingly favorite tactic of the reception team is to say that they will pass along a message and you will receive a call back, but then you don't. This is true for everything from getting prescription refills to receiving paperwork to scheduling appointments. In my latest encounter with the office, I had to call 5 times over 2 days to get a question resolved. I was told twice that it would be made a high priority and receive a call back. I was even told that they had 24 hours to respond to my concern, but they don't seem to care or abide by this policy. When I finally did manage to talk to someone who may be able to help me, she didn't know why I hadn't gotten a call back or why I was told I could schedule an appointment a certain way and it must be because whoever scheduled the appointment didn't know the policy. That is a lot of saying, "I don't know," for someone who is supposedly responsible for calling patients to discuss these questions. The kicker was when she blamed me for holding her up from doing her job, even though I'd been placed on hold for over 30 minutes total at that point to try to resolve an issue. The blatant disrespect and lack of communication here is unacceptable. It is a problem when I have to be the one to follow-up and push the office staff to do their jobs. If you visit this office, be prepared to become an unpaid intern and do their jobs for them.

They make me jump through hoops every single time I try to get a refill for medication I have been on for years. It has been frustrating and at times downright humiliating. They have given incorrect information about past medical visits and have referenced medical information that has nothing to do with my medical history, making me feel like they have no idea who I am or why I am there. He doesn't make the rules, and in addition to following them, must also follow the specific important protocols (aka rules) set by the State of MD and the Committee. His hands are tied in that particular aspect. There aren't enough doctors who would choose to spend their time trying to help addicts, who have been known to be untrustworthy, untruthful, or are there due to court order and don't want to get out of the cycle or feel sick,, so maybe try the old adage of "You catch more like flies with honey." He's doing the work of 3 doctors, with no help. If you have a problem with it, call youthfulness Fantastic Doctor with an even better bedside manner. He's very genuinely concerned about his patients wellbeing, not just whatever ailments they have. He goes above and beyond what the expectations for excellent physician-patient interaction and treatment protocols are, and makes you feel like you're his top priority. I would recommend him to anyone and trust him with my entire family. If he has an opening, you'd be a fool not to see him and judge for yourself.

First call, I find out my actual doctor doesn't even service the location I go to. Then the less than nice receptionist tells me I'm not able to make an appointment just in case it's outside of the 30 day range of my surgery. I could have easily called in and adjusted the date because my concern was I wouldn't be able to get an appointment in time. My guess was right. I called today to make said appointment and they have nothing. At any location. Nothing even with an RN or a PA. Additionally, at all the appointments I have had over the past two years I asked for a refill on my asthma inhaler and they kept forgetting to give it to me, so I'd call and they'd tell me I'd have to come back for another office visit just to get that so I'd end up paying another co pay for their forgetfulness. I'll take the hit of having to start over with a new primary care doctor. Go elsewhere because they simply don't care.

The initial nurse who took my vitals was rude. All the office staff is dismissive. I've had to call and wait on hold numerous times to get the results of a test I had to have done. Now, I'm from NY, but I don't think its too much to ask that the office staff treat people humanely. Once I finally got a hold of someone, I was berated about how she needs to do her job and that my call wasn't a priority. I also thought it was laughable that when I was exiting from my appointment, the one receptionist was trying to take care of something for me while the other one sat there looking at the Popeyes menu while the phone rang off the hook. Not to mention I didn't see the doctor until 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment. A month or so later my chiropractor ended up calling and finding the results for me instead of the office. The secretaries/front desk people are very nice, they just kept telling me they'd call me back or send results and they never did. My diagnosis requires surgery so it was a pretty big deal and I'm just upset that no one called to tell me or help me.
