Item for alteration: off the rack cotton trousers needed waist to be taken in. Draw string. I presented item to staff and told them what I needed. Response: "What do you want us to do?" ? Result: see photos. I showed the result to someone else who is a fashion expert. I will not post their response here, suffice it to say they confirmed my suspicion of poor quality.

He tends towards more traditional tailoring, but didn't make any fuss (like some of the other tailors around town) when I told him I wanted the sleeves a little higher to show some cuff. Took about a week and a half for him to finish, and charged ~$35. As far as I can tell, everything looked well done. Will be returning to him for all of my future tailoring needs. Only problems I had were that a) he doesn't take credit cards (luckily the bank is right around the corner, so not an issue) and b) it took a while to find the door to his shop the first time around. It's very inconspicuous, and I walked right past the door several times before I finally found it.

I found Sew Creations on Facebook, sent her a message and she almost immediately responded back. She took my dress that evening, I picked it up by 9:00 the next morning. She did a fitting to make sure all was good, and even had it steamed. And the kicker? She didn't want a single dollar more.
