Very quiet service. The lady owner and her husband have had the spot for about 50 years now she said. They TAKE ONLY CASH. No cards. Super friendly and budget friendly prices. Paid about $12 for both shoes that needed repair. Will def recommend. Call ahead of time if confused about hours. I have done it all - boots resoled and reheeled (many, many boots), Velcro reapplied to Fly patent Mary Janes, purse straps resewn, purse straps built from scratch. Honestly, in the land of purse and shoe they have fixed it all for me. Today's trip was for a pair of silver Sam Edelman loafers that lost a heel - they will be ready in less than 24hrs for $5. The friendly lady took a look, I explained how I wanted it fixed, and in 10 minutes and $5.00 later, I was out the door with a good as new purse! The heel tips of my nearly-new boots had completely worn off. I took them in to be replaced and I was offered same-day turnaround. So I called the Leather Corner Shoe Repair Shop and talk to the kind gentleman and he said yes bring them in. When I went in he looked over my gi and got the lengths I like. I was waiting to hear it would take weeks and a hefty price but he said no proble. Gave me a ticket and said come back in 2 days and quoted a really cheap price. I've had two pairs of footwear in and out of this place. The first is a pair of boots. I'd worn out the tread -- they're my favorite boots and I wear them everywhere -- and I brought them in like one takes an infant to the doctors'. Few days later and voila! New tread! New tread that's been going steady for about four months now, with tidy stitching and the best grip I've ever had on a pair of boots. The second, and what's prompting me to write this, is a pair of sandals. Handmade, with exactly no tread to them. I could slide around like an ice skater on these things, but they're lovely and they weren't cheap, so I brought them in. Two days later, and suddenly I have gorgeous leather sandals with tread and grip. And here's the clincher for me: they're MORE comfortable than they were before. How does that even happen?! Anyway. These people are nice, they're really inexpensive, and they do sterling work. You want to keep those ridiculously comfortable shoes another few years? Bring them to the Leather Corner. Please think twice before dropping anything of any value off with these people. I brought a pair of boots in for repair that had crystal embellishments on them. When I went to pick them up they didn't do the the repairs but stole the embellishments off of the boots. read more

I brought new a computer bag that had a small (1/8 inch.) hole on the inside which I didn't see at the store. It was a gift to a friend. The repair person used scraps of leather that was cut uneven and placed on each side of the bag. Glue seeped from under the material. I had no choice but to give the bag to the Salvation Army. I had a ladies pair of tall boots altered. They were too skinny to zip over my daughters calves. He measured her and inserted a wedge shaped piece of matching leather on the backs of the boots where there was a seam. They fit perfect on the first try! Tim and Philomena are a treasure in the Binghamton area. If they can't repair your leather item, whether it be shoes, boots, a belt or bag, then it can't be repaired. They are simply the best, despite working from a small whole in the wall shop in a downtrodden strip mall. People in the area know where to go to get their leather taken care of, and to get some fellowship as well, for these are two of the nicest people you'll meet.
