My Daughter attended MCGA for 9 years, she did tiny roos, little Roos, 5-7 silver at age 4, tops program at age 5 and started competing in level 3 at age 7. everything was great with coach Eva! once she left, everything changed. level 4 was a complete waist of time, second year of level 4, same thing. the entire level 4 and level 5 team left the end of 2023 and never looked back. the coaches and owner only care about money. you're just a number there. no communication, no growth, they played favorites and held girls back causing them to lose confidence. Always telling them 'no, you're not ready yet' on skills they were clearly ready for. Just take your money somewhere else. read more

I would not recommend Mid-Columbia gymnastics to anyone. They took my money and failed to honor their end of the transaction. They promised make-up classes and then refused to honor them-- but charged me for them. When I spoke to the manager about the situation, they promised to credit my account for the charges. 1.5 years later, I get a notice from a collection company for those classes. Mid-Columbia never even bothered to send me a bill, just lied about the credit and then sent me off to collections for classes that were never even provided. read more

We love MCGA. Our kids have done gymnastics here for almost a year and love every minute of it. The instructors are all wonderful with children and very helpful when it comes to teaching them skills they are struggling to pick up. This place is awful. We moved here from Vancouver last year and my daughter has continued to regress. She's lost her flexibility and form. If a student doesn't have natural talent then they're stuck in recreational gymnastics until they reach an arbitrary milestone of being able to flip themselves up on the bar. We're stuck here because the other 2 places in tri-cities are equally awful and my daughter loves gymnastics. read more

I've been around the country and worked in and gave my business to many gyms (the count is over twenty at this point). This gym is one of the most sincere in their desire to give your children a really good experience, top notch instruction, and excellent customer service. They are very lenient with make-up policies, have an auto-pay system, and are very organized behind the desk. They also do a lot for the community, which many businesses won't make time for. The facility is huge and has plenty of space for classes through team. They also continually educate their class coaches on safety, instruction, and skill training. The team program is one of the most well thought-out and caring programs I've ever seen. They will not treat your child like she's a machine and they are not out to win everything. They'd prefer to build your child's character through the training of proper gymnastics. They get plenty of kids to Level 10 and to TOPs camps, too. Many girls go to college and continue competing, sometimes on full or partial scholarships. But the lessons they learn along the way are the focus rather than the medals or trophies they might earn. Overall, this is one of the better gyms in the west and possibly the country. You can tell the staff enjoy themselves and work hard with the because they want to, not because they feel they have to. read more

I have taken my boys to the indoor playground many times and they love it. It's a great way for them to get energy out when it's either too cold or too hot outside. They get to interact with other kids and play with equipment and toys that they don't get to at their usual parks. The staff has always been friendly and helpful as well. My son was enrolled in the Tiny-roos class here for a year. In this year we switched classes 3 times because either the instructor was lacking or the class size was HUGE. For our last move, we moved up to the Tumble-roos class because the class size was smaller and his coach thought he was ready. The honeymoon period was quickly over and we found class size increasing, leading to the teacher not being able to watch all of the kids at once and our son falling down the stairs by the foam pit. We have moved on to a new gym in the area that actually cares about my child's safety and development. We also filled out a comment card detailing our concerns because we liked our son's coach and didn't want to leave, but the response we received was almost insulting. Instead of responding to our concerns personally, the gym put out a half page paper in the tumble-roos area stating how excited they were that the class sizes were HUGE because it meant more money for them... Around this time, they also sent out an email to the parents at the gym bribing them with raffles for good reviews on yelp. Really? Here's what the email said: We are giving away 5 gift baskets including Alaffia, Doterra products and gift cards to Starbuck's and Frost Me Sweet! All you have to do to enter is write a nice review on Yelp and/or Google. Just let us know in the office or message us and your name goes in our new "cool plastic contest name holder". The coaches are very nice and the recreational classes are fun. The camps are fun too.

I am watching my very non-competitive daughter push herself and shine under her coach's influence. She is in the upper levels of the non-competitive gymnastics and is enjoying it. Coach Will Turner encourages the kids and keeps the adults within ear shot laughing with his dry sense of humor and constant jokes. Much more importantly, this gym, like no other I have been to, treats me and all three of my kids like family. They are reasonable, respectable and overall outstanding. read more

I have been taking my daughter to mid Columbia gymnastics for a little over a year and have had no problems thus far. Today though I had to deal with a rude front desk person that was very hipacritcal in her explanation of why I paid for a full month of gymnastics and they are closed for the last two weeks of December. I than asked if she could make up those days and her reply was no. Once again I paid for a full month not for two days during the month of December. She stated that some weeks have four to even five weeks in them and it would even out. Well in my opinion that is BS. They close on a tue so I said that if she had class on that Monday she would be able to make that up, once again I was told no. I find the front desk to be rude and condescending in their actions and words only driving to have me the custome leave her alone and dodge my logical statements. The only thing saving me from stopping my membership here is my daughter and the facility's great coaches . Now if they would focus more on a business not strived on sales where services are not even provided and put that effort into giving my daughter the classes that I paid for than I would consider recommending my peers to try out mid Columbia gymnastics, but once again after today's rude explanation of why they took my money and will not provide my daughter with the appropriate number of classes I paid for I will not be coming back next year and I will do my utmost to deter any future prospective people to go to this rude gym. read more
