This year my bestie and I took my nephew for the first time which was so much fun and a memory I will cherish forever.  Make sure you're wearing good shoes, are bundled up and prepared to spend a decent amount of time in the maze. I stopped there the next day and received 5-very healthy seedlings of red-raspberry to plant in my garden. I planted them and all five are flourishing and even bearing fruit the first season. The cost was even less than what I paid for 2 plants from a well-known company. The plants were already dead before I got them, and they didn't even want to refund the shipping cost. While I was at Krieger's, I took a look at how they ship their plants, and it looks like they would still arrive healthy even if the shipping took a week or more. Next year I'm going to pick up some seedless grape plants.

The nursery was packed with both old standards and new, unique varieties, which was delightful. I could have walked around for ages and I'm sure my family would say that I already did! The staff here is excellent- several staff members were able to walk me around and help me to find exactly the variety that would work best for me in several situations... and I'm pretty picky, as a landscape architect and horticulturist. It was like candy for me to be able to walk around with these experts and pick their brains on different qualities of each cultivar- I learned new things, which is always a win. In the end, I went home with a Baetzella peony that I had been searching for at a very good price, a great dwarf Japanese Maple (they have so many to choose from!), and a unique, funny little evergreen that they bred right there at the nursery. Especially if you're looking for a nursery with a great evergreen selection and a lot of knowledge, this is a must-see.
