My daughter is in the hospital for 3 to 5 days. The new edition just was finished maybe a week ago…read more It is beautiful. I find the nurses and the staff at the hospital, extremely helpful, compassionate, and gentle with my daughter. Even the security detail are careful as they are searching purses and having you go through the security system. I expressed a concern about some thing the admitting doctor did that was dangerous for my daughter, and the nurses followed through and got the order changed by the time I arrive the next morning. This takes skill and concern and compassion to follow through like that. Things are not perfect, of course, it is a human run organization. But I find the general tone of the staff theory wonderful and healing. I am halfway between Health Central and West Orange hospital. We choose West Orange hospital due to this sort of concern and gentleness of the staff and professional people. Generally, I appreciate the ER docs and admitting doctors, but Yesterdays admitting doctor was harsh, patronizing, and would not listen to reason of a season, nurse, and myself. I do not have tolerance for that. But I still do recommend the facility as a whole.

The patient felt severely dehydrated and requested water, ice chips, and IV fluids repeatedly but was denied basic hydration for an extended period. Medical staff, specifically a nurse named Matthew, were described as dismissive, unhelpful, and verbally aggressive toward the patient. The attending physician was perceived as rushed and failed to address several acute issues, including a bladder infection, ear infection, and the patient's autoimmune disorders. The patient collapsed in the ER while seeking water and felt they were treated with suspicion and malice by staff during the incident. Hospital supervisors, Ruth and a lead shift nurse, allegedly gaslit the patient by defending the nurse's behavior and dismissing the patient's complaints. The patient reported a significant lack of understanding and skepticism from the staff regarding fibromyalgia and other autoimmune conditions. The patient was discharged at 2:00 AM while still symptomatic and felt forced to leave despite being too weak to walk or drive. The patient eventually received proper care at a different hospital and has filed a formal complaint with the ADA.

Week 4 I checked in and was condescended with a speech of it taking 5-6 weeks. It's September--my insurance has since changed & now have to start over--was reminded by the referring dentist ofc that I'm due for my cleaning. Sadly, I can't do that until my tooth is extracted. POINT: This ofc doesn't care. I have NEVER heard of 5-6 wk apv'l process. Referring dentist had no issues. They're obviously too busy to need new clients nor care about them.

Strange story. I went to Dr. Johnson's office on 1/15/18 to get some Botox and filler. Everything…read morewas great. Friendly staff, Dr. Johnson was friendly, and very informative. I was surprised though at how quickly he did the Botox injections. It took him about, honestly, maybe 10 or so seconds. Poke, poke, poke, poke, and poke. I even expressed my surprise at how quickly he injected it. Usually it takes a minimum of 15 minutes or more. But I figured, this guy's a pro. As the week went by, I realized I wasn't seeing much effect, and really none at all. I had already scheduled a follow-up appointment, at his request, for the following week. I called ahead to let them know that I had not seen any effect, even after 4 days. I figured I'd give it a full seven, but still nothing. Flash forward to a week later. Again friendly staff, friendly doctor. I told him my concerns, and he proceeded to explain how the process works. I closed my eyes thinking, "Here we go. He's going to tell me that I can't expect such dramatic results, etc." He immediately turned. He said, "Are you tuning me out?" and I responded that I thought he was going to tell me that I was expecting too much, or something to that effect. I've had Botox before, and the results were visible. Subtle, but visible. I hadn't even finished my sentence, when he abruptly told me to leave. He said he would refund my money, and that if I wasn't willing to listen to what he had to say, I could leave. I was shocked. All I did was close my eyes. I didn't roll me eyes, or sigh loudly, or cut him off mid-sentence. I was preparing myself for disappointment. That was it. I may have jumped to conclusions. But we've all had experiences where we pay good money for nothing. That's what I thought would happen this time. I lived with a bipolar roommate, and that's what this reminded me of. A sudden change from friendly to hostile. With that all being said, I guess I'm better off. I'd hate to think that he would overdo it out of spite. But that was my experience. I was stunned. I've never experienced anything like that before. (Except for the roommate.)
