This is a great place to pick-up your seasonal Tennis Permit ($100) or Single Play Tickets ($7.00)…read moregood at all NYC Tennis Courts in all of the boroughs. This office is pretty easy to find, right inside of the old historical building INSIDE of Central Park, facing 5th at 64th Street. Yes the building with the plaques and the cannonballs over the doorway, fancy chandelier hanging in the lobby. Hang a right and go through the doorway downstairs to the basement, past the snack bar area and then go down the hallway to the left. The ticket window is right there. They take your picture and get your badge printed in a matter of mins.. and have all sorts of information to hand out such as a list of all the tennis courts in the greater city of new york! If you are planning on playing more than 14 times from April-November of 2010 then the season pass is the way to go...but note its not a 365 day pass...it is done no matter when you buy it by November of that year. If your crazy avid tennis player friend wants you to join them one weekend for a game, pay $7.00 for a one time ticket, see how you like it, then maybe take the plunge to invest in the season pass. Once you are a season pass member you can also call and reserve a court at a particular time slot in the bougie* 93rd & Central Park West Courts Facility. This location has over 30 courts and is the biggest in the city. However in order to reserve a court you need to purchase a court reservation ticket also... (another $7.00) They try to make it so difficult but once you get the hang of it you are good to go! *You may have seen these courts featured in the film The September Issue when LV decked head to toe.. André Leon Talley was getting his minor sweat on... http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1245839897/
