We were customers of this pool company for two years, and unfortunately our experience was marked…read moreby poor communication, unexpected charges, and a lack of transparency. In 2025, we experienced multiple service visits where technicians were on the property for extended periods, including occasions when they remained in our driveway eating lunch. We were often left with questions about what work had been completed and found it difficult to get answers despite repeated attempts to contact our assigned representative. We also brought them our robotic pool cleaner for repair. After having the unit for approximately a month and receiving little communication despite multiple phone calls, we ultimately had to visit their store ourselves, retrieve the cleaner, and arrange for repairs elsewhere. The primary reason we renewed our service this year was because the owner assured us that changes had been made and that communication and customer service would improve. Unfortunately, our concerns continued almost immediately. During our pool opening, a small seating area connected to our pool was suddenly classified as a "spa." This area has no separate heating system or filtration equipment and had been serviced throughout the previous year without any additional charge. We were billed an extra $150 for opening the "spa" without prior discussion. After we raised concerns, the charge was removed, but we were informed that future service would include an additional $50 monthly fee, which we agreed to. Since May 4, we have been billed more than $1,800. This included a repair totaling more than $1,100. Our service agreement states that repairs exceeding $150 would be discussed and approved in advance. In our experience, that did not happen. We were not provided with the cost before the work was completed and only learned the total amount when we received an invoice indicating that our credit card would be charged. The replacement part alone cost approximately $865, which was far more expensive than we expected based on the conversation we had beforehand. When we requested additional information regarding the charges, we felt our concerns were treated as an inconvenience rather than a reasonable customer inquiry. Instead of receiving clear explanations, we were often left feeling that simply asking questions about significant charges was unwelcome. We were then billed approximately $400 for monthly service, including roughly $150 in chemicals, shortly after the pool had been cleaned and repaired. By that point, our confidence in the company had been significantly diminished. The recurring pattern of poor communication, unexpected charges, and lack of transparency made it difficult for us to continue the relationship. When we submitted our cancellation notice, we received a response stating, "We hope you find a pool company that fulfills your wishes." Rather than addressing the concerns we had raised over the past two years, the response reinforced our feeling that our business was no longer valued. The issue was never a single mistake or repair bill. It was the repeated lack of communication and transparency that ultimately caused us to lose confidence in the company. I rarely leave online reviews. In fact, this is only the third Google review I have ever written. However, after our experience, I felt it was important to share it with others. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage prospective customers to ask detailed questions about communication practices, repair authorization procedures, billing policies, and how additional charges are approved before signing up for service.

Well, that lady so called manager was the most UNFRIENDLY person and rude and her date did service was way different than what we were told by the owner. She did nothing to accommodate miscommunication by the owner. Do not recommend at all. Rudeness does not work for me.

What should have been a wonderful experience turned into a nightmare…read more The project started well enough, but problems began almost immediately. During excavation, equipment broke down on-site and we were asked to pay for the contractor's downtime. The original construction crew was ultimately removed from the project and replaced by another crew to complete the work. Throughout much of the process, we found ourselves managing details and overseeing progress that should have been handled by the company. When the pool was finally completed, we were initially very happy with the results. Unfortunately, that didn't last. Within the first six months, all of the pool lights had to be replaced. The pavers had significant ponding issues and had to be removed and reinstalled. While those warranty items were eventually addressed, additional problems continued to surface. We began experiencing issues with the sheer descent waterfall features and later learned they had been plumbed through the vacuum system, causing debris to clog the lines and preventing proper operation. Correcting that issue required tearing apart the face of the spa. The spa then developed leaks that required additional repairs. In total, the face of the spa was removed three separate times. The spa cap was replaced four different times. Today, the grout throughout the spa area is cracking, crumbling, and failing. As time has passed, additional workmanship concerns have become apparent. We have had other professionals review portions of the project and were informed that the paver banding was installed with the wrong side facing outward rather than the finished side. We have retaining wall stones that are visibly out of alignment, corners and edges that were not properly finished, and numerous details that suggest a lack of quality control and oversight during construction. For the past several months, we have repeatedly asked the company to address these issues. We have requested warranty consideration. We have requested a repair quote. We have sent emails outlining our concerns, including safety concerns. Most have gone unanswered. The most troubling issue occurred when a cap block came loose while my wife was standing near the spa. We have grandchildren who use this pool regularly. At this point, this is no longer simply an appearance issue--it is a safety issue. To be fair, there have been individuals within the organization who have attempted to assist and move our concerns through the process. Unfortunately, despite months of communication, the underlying issues remain unresolved, and we have been unable to obtain either a meaningful resolution or even a repair proposal for the safety concerns we have raised. Five years later, it feels like we have spent more time dealing with repairs, callbacks, and unresolved issues than enjoying the pool we invested so much money to build. The only major component we have not had issues with has been the fiberglass pool shell itself. Had you asked me four years ago, I might have given a very different review. In fact, I did recommend Kevin Sparks Signature Pools to friends, neighbors, and others who asked about our pool. Looking back, I regret those recommendations. The pool looked beautiful when it was first completed, and for a time we were pleased with the results. The real measure of a company, however, is not how things look on day one--it's how they respond when problems arise years later. Unfortunately, that is where our experience has been the most disappointing. If you choose this company, get everything in writing. Require regular project reviews. Document every conversation. Most importantly, be prepared to closely supervise every phase of construction yourself. We invested a significant amount of money to create what was supposed to be our family's dream backyard. Instead, we have spent years dealing with repairs, repeated failures, safety concerns, and unanswered requests. Based on our experience, I can no longer recommend Kevin Sparks Signature Pools.

Horrible experience with the installers and the service department in Antioch location. The winter of 2026 cracked the filter housing and the two pvc t-split that holds the copper element and the brass electrode. Called for the service and waited till May (4 months) to get the parts in. The costs $12 and $18 on amazon. This is sad that they can't keep these parts in stock. I ended up purchasing the parts and had my plumber to install one of them. The service guy finally showed up to replace the t- split housing for copper Which I had to purchase. The technician told me that they should have used flex pvc leading to the two t- split to prevent freezing and cracking. Today I received (7-6-2026) statement for $274 to replace the t- split house which I have purchased. This is a bad business and unfair cost allocation gir the repair. i was also told by the service manager that they don't go repairs which is contrary to what I was told by the salesman when I sighed a contract for $110k. Be aware and make sure you can trust the company and the staff. I'm disappointed at their cavalier attitude toward customer Which is a lot to be desired.
