The day after she passed they contacted us to let us know that she was now under their care. An appointment was set up and we met with April a few days later. She was understanding and patient with us. Since my mothers burial wishes were planned in advance, it was a fairly easy process. She did not try to up sale us and helped us to understand the paperwork and process going forward. Every time I reached out to her via email, she responded quickly. Corey was also great help and was professional and courteous. If I'm ever in this type of situation again, my first call will be to Heartland. So fortunate to have found such a kind, patient and understanding funeral home.

I looked for cremation services and Heartland had the easiest website to understand and by far the best pricing. Other local cremation services were 4 times more expensive. When I called Heartland, my call was answered immediately, the process took under two minutes, and although they offered to meet us in person, they were able to simply email me the documents to fill out and sign. The documents were easy to fill out, and it was done. This was so seamless and easy at a time when we were grieving and didn't need any more drama. Thank you, Andrew, and your team at Heartland!!

I am a licensed funeral director in both Missouri and Kansas and I was very impressed with the cremation society, how they did business and especially Candice our funeral director. She exhibited The perfect blend of friendliness and yet efficiency and competence. It's hard to ride that line I know and I just wanted her bosses and the public to know that I would feel very comfortable taking any of my loved ones there. Unlike the large national corporate chains the money stays here they serve the community it's not all sent to Houston. Adam L. Knarr Funeral director / embalmer

Reflections Memorial Services came highly recommended to us from the Jackson County Medical Examiner's office and we found their expectations to be true. This family-run business was exactly what we were looking for and what we needed at the time. Their compassion and attention to every detail was very much appreciated and their professionalism in handling our case was beyond what we expected. Joshua and the staff handled our situation in a way that we feel was above and beyond. We are grateful for their sensitivity to our needs and expediting what could have been a very long process. Gratefully, Randy and Paula Garcia

You get what you pay for with this place. When my FIL died they said his brother(who I'll call D)…read morecame in and paid for all services and that my FILs ashes would be ready to be picked up that next week. When those days came and went and we didn't get any phone calls we called them to see what is up. They apologized and said that it was the wrong uncle D (same first name) and it was another family member that was paid for, not my FIL, all while giving us the first and last names of some other family they were doing services for durring this time. They told us for the inconvenience we could have the $20 death certificate for free. We gave them the benefit of the doubt. Since we unexpectedly needed to pay $1000 we needed two days for our bank to transfer funds so we asked if that would delay the cremation process. We were told that it would NOT delay the cremation process and that my FIL would again be ready for pick up in a few days. The next week after still not ever getting a single phone call or courtesy call we called back AGAIN to see why he wasn't ready. We were told he hadn't even been cremated yet as we hadn't paid...if we knew it needed sent we would have paid it the first week. It took FIVE times of them telling us he would be ready before I was actually able to pick up the ashes. When I was told my FIL was ready to pick up I was never given a time or appointment. When I showed up I had to sit in the car with my 1 year old for 35 minutes because he still wasn't even there... of course after mentioning all this to the owner he, like stated before me, did not take responsibility. I was told his rececptionist didn't tell us any of that and that that didnt happen, and that because he "trains his staff so well" he "knows it wasn't a mistake on their end". He had some sticky note with "9-2" written on it and said that he wasn't there because it wasn't my appointment time and that's my fault. He did let me know that payment before cremation was in the fine print we signed, which of course is our fault for not reading, yes, but the fact that we obviously didnt know that and specifically asked and was told it wouldnt delay the process was so wrong. My FIL layed in a freezer for 2 weeks before he was finally ready 15 days later. The owner also went on to tell me information about the previous Google reviews and how he's in a lawsuit with them and why..not sure about that but either way he was giving out MORE INFORMATION about other people that he did services for! If I knew he would tell me that much about others I wouldn't have trusted him with our family member or our family information! Also the "Urn" we paid for was just a thin black plastic box with their sticker on it.. Aaannnndddd...que the denial response
