First in person visit today and the staff and facility did not disappoint. We found phone visits at this location always went really well so decided to go in person. My partner was seen by Dr. Nassrouie & Joseph, very kind and efficient. Appointment time was 11:45, arrived a few minutes early and were called in almost immediately. Family medicine provided lab information to close at 4:15pm on Friday. Reached at 4:02pm and they close at 4pm. 2 lab techs couldn't take us after 2 mins. Told them and showed them the time provided by the same exact hospital. Their answer was to talk to family medicine department as they gave the time. A min of blood drawing could be taken. Told them how far I had to drive to come but didn't mean a thing to them. I wish I could relate a zero for the attitude and customer service. Second time coming here for my daughter who has been coughing for over a month now. Front desk staff is very friendly so are the nurses. I had a good experience with them. Both times she was seen by PA's so I wasn't too thrilled about that but I guess that's how it works in urgent care locations. They prescribed her medications the first time which didn't help her at all and earlier today the PA prescribed steroids and one other medication. Let's see how those work. Took my wife into urgent care for a persistent cough lasting well over a month. I used to scoff at people who used Dr. Google, but I found much better information online after a fruitless and frustrating visit with a real doctor at urgent care. First, persistent cough following an illness does not take a Doogie Howser level of genius to diagnose. I didn't look up her symptoms prior to my visit, because what do I know? Why couldn't the doctor have: - Correctly diagnosed, or identified a preliminary diagnosis pending further symptoms? - Based on the most likely diagnosis, suggested 4-5 interventions to treat the illness, most of which were OTC or lifestyle-related? - Communicated to us when to become concerned" as in, "if you start feeling short of breath...." Instead my wife was shamed for not wearing a mask in public (TWICE!), we did not get the requested flu test, and left with less to work with than we did when we arrived. This is why people are encouraged to advocate for themselves and to research their own illnesses. I get it now. I'm one of you now. If I break my arm, I'm not going to research how to set my own bones, however, most people will have better health outcomes by ignoring these ignorant and compassionless generalists, and figuring it out for themselves. read more

I contacted this office seeking help with a painful, time-sensitive medical issue and made it clear that I would be leaving town in over a week. Despite this, I was met with complete indifference. No effort was made to explore appointment options, escalate the issue, offer alternatives, or even communicate with basic empathy. What was most upsetting was not being told "we're fully booked," but rather the lack of any attempt to help at all. The nurse I spoke with named Gladys seemed uninterested in problem-solving and offered no guidance, no follow-up, and no sense that patient care was a priority. I could feel her eyes roll from the other line even though I kept pleading for some sort of resolution. Healthcare is not just about availability -- it's about how patients are treated when they are in pain and asking for help. This office failed in that regard. I've never been so brushed over by a medical provider like this. I just switched health insurance 6 months ago and got established with a new PCP. And it has really shown me how criminally awful the program being run here is. This clinic would refuse to prescribe me refills I had been prescribed for years by doctors here, unless I made an appointment "to talk about it." Then I'd have to wait weeks for the appointment just to get a refill on a basic medication I needed to manage documented medical conditions. Why do I need to repeatedly "talk about" a medication I have been prescribed for years? This is all just so the clinic can bill my insurance for appointments and it severely harmed my health and well-being. I just asked my new PCP last night over patient portal message, for prescriptions for two medications I ran out of, I had forgotten to even mention the conditions or drugs at my in-take. Miraculously, I not only got a response to my message before noon the next day, the medications had already been called in to my pharmacy!! This is what appropriate medical care looks like, not making basic healthcare a full-time job *for the patient*. At MVCHC I often had to wait days to even get a response from a nurse saying a doctor would eventually get to my message, and then I'd be told that for literally any request, I had to make an appointment. Often I had to repeatedly message to get a response. And never from the same person. Doctors at Mid-Valley also wasted 8 months while I suffered chronic knee pain, refusing to send me for an MRI. Then when the MRI showed findings and I'd had pain for almost a year, my request to be referred to an orthopedist was refused. I was not even allowed to talk to a person who actually specializes in knee issues after nearly A YEAR of waiting and failing conservative treatment, plus findings on an MRI that might warrant a surgery. read more

This place .. 12:15pm I walk-in Every single time it doesn't fail.. I wish my primary wasn't here and it didn't take forever to get a whole mother doctor .. Wether you have an appointment or walk in (URGENT CARE) You will be here for at least 2 -3 hours before they see you and that's just to ask question to a patient .. But get this I jus got asked by a doctor.. "are you still waiting".. then the nurse comes to me and explains to me as he sits down very comfortably and crosses his legs and states that I have to go out to the tent for a Covid test before being seen .. fast forward I go take the Covid test .. they tell me to come back in the building 45 min later same doctor asks me. If I'm still waiting to be seen then 10 min later comes out to ask my name ... I'm still waiting... Been 2- 3 hours all together and still have not been checked Still waiting So finally got called in .. A new nurse ask a different nurse where I was instead of call for my name .. the doctor then points he has been sitting right their .. Nobody know where I'm at yet they send you everywhere . HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! I recently visited the urgent care without an appointment. I wasn't able to even to walk my body was extremely weak. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely poor. The woman at the fourth window was unprofessional, rude, and had a terrible attitude. I was asked to provide personal information in front of other patients, despite offering my license for verification. The waiting area was nearly empty, yet I was told to expect a wait of almost two hours. As someone who has visited urgent care before, I know that the typical wait time is around 20-30 minutes, especially when a patient is visibly unwell. I was experiencing nausea, fever, body shakes, cold, diarrhea, vomiting.. yet, l wasn't prioritized!!! And l see the urgent care is empty!!!! I left without seeing a doctor. They lost documentation of mine, creating stress when trying to get certain things done. Front staff talk, gossip, and ignore you while you're in line. This once resulted in Me being "late" to which they have refused to see Me, due to them ignoring Me and allowing another patient to cut Me in line, while I was standing there to check in. For months I was trying to set an appointment with doctor, only to have the appointment moved to a phone conversation with random others on the team, making Me have to re-explain the same issue over 7 times with no help or resolution; until I made 4 complaints which were all ignored for some time. The issue I had went on for years; most of which I was being blocked from seeing My actual doctor. My doctor was transferred to a different hospital and no one told Me. Instead I was out in a room with a random student and his overseer, who raised his voice at Me and was disrespectful. When I asked why I wasn't notified about My doctor he just went, "If you want to make a complaint, go upstairs." Have had a doctor attempt to gaslight Me and refuse to listen to the actual problem of what I was dealing with. She then prescribed Me a medication that had nothing to do with My issue. I asked her how it would help and her response was "It won't, but it will get things moving." The motioned to the bowel area. I was not there for constipation at all. I demanded to a specialist, like I had been for years, since no one here was able to help Me. I was told no. I had to demand that this doctor put on My medical record that she was refusing to help Me. Next thing I know-- I'm referred to the specialist. WOW. The specialist was able to diagnose the problem, I had been suffering from for 3 years, in less than 30 minutes and actually offer Me resolution. I had a doctor accuse Me of lying and sarcastically did finger quotations when repeating a health issue I had told her. One of the patient-relations operators argued with Me for over 5min when I was calling to get the number for the social workers to set up therapy. She kept saying, "This isn't a mEnTaL hEaLtH facility" in a demeaning, condescending, ableist way. Then after being disgusting for far too long, eventually gave Me the number that does exist for therapist referrals. When I called again for My referral to be sent again, they said there was no documentation of Me ever speaking to anyone before; which is insane. I had in fact spoken to someone and been referred to a therapist, but had to revive the referral to be seen. I've had to speak to 3 people since; and now am being told to call back again. This facility is filled with unorganized, disrespectful, uncaring people. read more

Their appointments system is almost nonexistent, if you have an appointment expect to wait a minimum of 30 minutes until your appointment actually starts. I don't understand why they do this, just make the appointments later!! I just finished with my first appointment here (4th floor). I was very hesitant and scared because of the reviews and I've had bad experiences with how health facilities treat medi-cal patients. From the appointment phone line to the receptionist, nurse, and doctor on 4th floor, to the 3rd floor department, and even pharmacy I had a pleasant experience! Everyone was kind, helpful, and patient when I had questions. The female doctor I had was attentive and prompt--I felt like I was really being heard. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment and was seen 10 minutes later (still before my appointment time). The 3rd floor (blood work) was getting everyone in and out in a very swift manner. I hope my follow up appointment experience will be just as good. read more

Oh my gosh, I have never in my life experienced such rudeness, unprofessionalism and incompetence from Stephanie Roe, NP and the "Charge" nurse Stephanie on the 3rd floor, unbelievable. Not only was I sent to ER because Ms Roe took an inaccurate blood test that cost me my day being at ER for 8 hours, she continued to provide inaccurate information on a telehealth call where she hung up on me! The so-called charge nurse had the nerve to disrespect me on the phone when I called requesting the supervisor's name. Fortunately for me the calls are recorded and will be heard by upper management and government health entities. Other staff reps were fine, but those two Stephanie's should not be in the medical industry period. Done with this place. read more

Urgent care : I'm still here. Appointment was set by front desk for 37 minutes from my arrival. The doctor didn't come into the room until over an hour and a half later. Dr. Hernandez just came back from lunch and he should have hopefully had great bedside manner which he did not. After falling in a hole on concrete, I am already in a lot of pain, and Dr. Hernandez just snatched my leg and was being very rude. Knowing this place isn't worth the time and energy I came back on an emergency visit on an urgent matter. I've had my past experiences with this place and why bother returning but I needed urgent care so I decided to show up. I came the day before and was turned away and the next day I scheduled an appointment to visit later in the evening at 6:30. Upon arrival the clerk on her phone as they always are has her back to the urgent care line scrolling away and had to get in front of her to catch her attention. Once she checked me in they called me and stated that due to my "health symptoms" I needed to wait outside in a tent. After waiting for nearly a half and hour a nurse practitioner Mark and an assistant come out and right off the bat Mark starts detailing that all procedures have to be done tomorrow as blood work is closed for the day and my necessities need to be dropped off the next day. I was furious. How is it possible for the county to let this location run operations? It's ridiculous the level of disrespect this place has towards patients. Do not come here at all locals please stay away! I've reported this location and another DR in the past but it's all wishy washy with the county they protect these people and this location to continue running terrible service. Mark even got smart with me when I questioned his way of practice when I told them they clearly didn't want to work and laughed it off with his assistant and said "Matt do we like working?" and then tried to cut me off. Terrible people everyone if you come here you know you've experienced mistreat and malpractice please call the county and report this location. It was my first time going to this clinic for an ultrasound, I walked in and the lady at the front was so amazingly nice and helpful. I was already impressed.... but then the security guards changed everything for me . There was an older lady in front of me who CLEARLY only spoke Spanish , she was pressing the button for the elevator when the female security (a female and male security guard both African American were working at this time ) told the lady that the elevator was coming and she can stop pressing the button obviously in a rude tone. The older lady didn't understand and goes back to the nicer lady in the front giving the masks and asks her if it works , and as I kept walking the male security told the female " another one huh" . And they're so lucky I'm pregnant and know better than to start any drama with a security guard but it was so rude and obviously if I said anything they both already had an ugly ass attitude being either racist or just talking crap about patients as they walk in to somewhere they're not familiar with . That patient was an older lady and only spoke one language of you don't have any thing nice to say, then don't say anything at all. These security guards should NOT be working somewhere where people need medical attention and need sympathy rather than these smart remarks and sarcasm being told behind their backs . As far as my appointment, it was great ! I absolutely loved the technician and my experience. But they should consider moving some people out cause what a turn off ! read more

Disturbingly bad medical service. I have been lucky enough to experience excellent medical service throughout my life. Now that I have been to Mid-Valley, I have a new appreciation for the quality of my previous doctors. With very little money, and the need to have my scripts renewed, and to get a shot of cortisone for extremely painful tendonitis, I went here due to the low cost, and advice of the person scheduling appointments. Six weeks later, I was finally able to see a doctor, who argued with me about my scripts (which I have been taking for over ten years, prescribed by doctors who had been attending to me much longer, and whom I trust with my life, literally), and did nothing about my immobile, extremely painful shoulder, saying I would need to book a follow up appointment, at which time, she'd asses my progress. From there it just got worse. They send the wrong script to the pharmacy, and the pharmacy couldn't get through to the facility for refills. read more

The doctor Mun Chin is very disappointing. She is very old and needs to retire. Doesn't care to understand what her patients are trying to get help in.
