I visited here a few times with a family member who was admitted into the hospital via the ER. The…read moreroom was big and only one bed (wasn't a shared room) had a few chairs inside for people to visit. Visitation was open and there are no restrictions to how many ppl can be in the room. I met a few of the nurses on my visits and they were persistent with checking in. They answered any questions we had and the ones I encountered were really friendly. My dad and I went down to the cafeteria one day. Limited snack varieties, some premade sandwiches are in the fridge. If you have an allergy don't bother coming here, unless you just want fruit. The hot meals are during breakfast and lunch hours. Lots of seating inside and a patio outside to eat as well. Parking is in a structure across from the hospital. It's free to park in, however it's only two story so spaces are limited. It gets really busy on the weekends and during the afternoon on a week day to find a parking spot. Plenty of handicap up front but fills up fast.

Sometimes they may have glitches on the app, but nonetheless, I have been able to get my meds quickly. Sometimes there is a longer line, but usually goes along fast. For the laboratory: 4/5 for the most part, efficient as well, check in is a smooth process, just follow their instructions. You are held responsible for your own urine and culture swabs, so make sure you don't lose that as you wait for your blood to be drawn. They instruct you to place your specimen by the gray window. That's the only downside I don't like, having to see my specimen along with everyone else's it gives me anxiety because I don't want my stuff missing. women's Care here: 2/5 I saw a GYN once for my Pap smear, she was not the nicest and spent less than 15 minutes with me, she seemed a bit aggravated and rushed. I wouldn't recommend her. Urgent care services: 4/5 they were there for me when I had urgent needs such as this odd chest pain I was having, and another time where I had a shingles outbreak, UC confirmed my self-diagnoses and was treated right away for it. Sure long wait times, but worth it when they do a work up on you. PCP care: 3/5 since I became a member of Kaiser on 2023, I have switched my pcp a few times because I felt unsatisfied. I have had a better relationship in the past with my old PCP, so I know there are doctors out there who still have compassion. But not here, it feels as if though you are a "number" and you go in for your services and that is all. The message center/app sucks because by the time you need an answer, the nurse is barely answering your message asking even more questions, so I don't like the turn around time for that. Too much back and forth so that should be improved in a sense. Overall, I thank Kaiser for the attention and care that I received in a decent matter, next year I will be at UCLA and will see how it goes.
