The worst professional auto shop ive ever been to it was an electrical problem took 3 days for them to tell me it was the alternator 918.00 pick up the car same problem they saying well it's the computer and default alternator my car sat up there for 7 more days to get a call to say my car was ready and it was a wire get there same problem my car works off 2 batteries they crossed it to only work off one why would they do that???? My car broke down near their location. They put it on the machine and told me that I needed a new transmission, despite the fact I had only 55,000 miles on it. They wanted to charge me $4700 When I told them I would be sending AAA to pick up the car and take it to the dealership, they quickly cut the price quite in half. I still took it to the dealership where they told me it was a minor transmission issue and a value sensor, they charged me $1511 total where Midas wanted $4700. read more

Would give negative stars if I could. They installed my clutch and flywheel and a couple months later all my clutch fluid had leaked out and I put more in myself and took my vehicle back and they said they inspected everything and didn't find anything wrong. Now 10 months later my engine blew up and I was informed by the mechanic that is currently working on my vehicle installing the new engine that the original engine failed due to the poor installation of the clutch and flywheel and it was not tight and the bolts came loose and were flying around and essentially blew up the engine and tore up the teeth on my flywheel. Horrible Customer Service, I bring my coupon and always they trying to sell you the most expensive oil

Bought a groupon for 59.00 for a synthetic oil change. Seems like a greag deal right? Wrong. First they tell me my jeep takes 8 quarts of oil so they have to charge me for 3 more at 8.99 a pop. Then they add 42.00 in labor, 8 dollars in shop fees, then taxes. Groupon did not state the extra fees. It merely said "oil change for 'x' amount" All in all after groupon and fees I would have been paying 120.00 + for an oil change. Something seemed off so I got my manual out of my jeep and it takes 5.5 quarts of oil...not 8. All I'm suggesting is that you be wary of this shop when bringing your vehicle here. I have nothing against Midas. I go to the one by my house all of the time and they are fair it is clearly an issue with this particular shop. read more

Please never come here!!! I came to simply get my brake pads replaced. They kept my car for a week! And told me it would cost 2000$ which is outrageous, later in the week they told me it would be another 1000 for extra parts, when i told them i would rather take my car somewhere else they refused to give me the car back because it wasn't in "working" condition as it was when i brought it in. When i finally get my car back after paying 3000 my transmission was completely messed up and they also disconnected my emergency brake. Im not sure what kind of operation they are running but this has been the worst mechanic i have ever been to!!!! My car was not driving properly so I took it in to Midas. Theyy checked it out told me what was wrong. The repair prices were very competitive compared to other places: especially a Kia dealership store. I have a Kia soul. Pearl, Mario, and Earl were very good and accommodating. The mechanic that worked on my car explained everything that he was going to do and everything that was wrong. The whole Team of them just made me feel at home. this business is like a family business, even though I understand they're not all related. Overall my experience was awesome. This location is the reason why I absolutely hate/Dred taking my car in to get repairs. I came here for an oil change, a basic oil change. They originally wanted to charge me around $35 after taxes since I declined the tire rotation. Then the upselling started. They told me I needed 2 new front tires, a whole new brake system, and new windshield wipers..grand total over $1000. I told them I just wanted the oil change. Then the rep began telling me about the Snap Finance they work with in which I could spread out my payments over 100 days. I reluctantly agreed since there was no credit check required. I declined the new tires and the windshield wipers but agreed to the brakes, bc I value my life. Going with the financing I'd only have to pay about $25 more. My grand total would be $550. They had to wait for the parts to be delivered to start on the brakes. They arrived and the mechanic started working on switching them out. While working on the left side the calibrator started giving them a hard time and it was found that I needed to replace it....another $173 extra. Welllllll since you're telling me you can't finish the brakes without it get it and do it. After 5 hours my car was still on the lift waiting for the part. I expressed to the staff several times (every 5 -10 minutes) that I had to go I had other appointments, I hadn't eaten, I was going to get sick, I didn't plan for this since I only came here for an OIL CHANGE! I was met with dry, disingenuous apologies about how they understood. But these were the same people that damn near made it seem like my car was going to explode if I didn't get new windshield wipers safe to say I dont trust anything these ppl say. My issue is after spending over $600 with them I expected to have some empathy at the fact that I'd been sitting around for 5 hours. I expect to not be swindled and guilted into getting unnecessary repairs. It would be great if a mechanic would make genuine recommendations with the customer in mind instead of they're daily quota. I will NEVER go to this locating again. Unfortunately this exoerience has turned me off of Midas all together. I would recommend IF you must use this McCain bc you habe no where else to go that you let them know that you are ONLY interested in a specific service ang that's it! read more

Terrible scamming team. They are outwardly so nice and polite and make it seem as if though they're giving you good service but lie. Make sure everything you do or talk about is in writing before agreeing to anything. I was told a part of my car would have a lower labor value and I agreed to it and when I picked up my car the price jumped over $200 - when I mentioned the price originally talked over the phone with not just myself but my partner the manager, Pearl, acted extremely dismissive and fake. At that point I couldn't not sign my car out without agreeing to the price - completely take advantage of you and your gratitude. I'm a very transparent individual and work in a business professional setting - they lack the basic integrity skills to run and operate a business. I will add that they continue to do this to my partner who still has work he needs done.. they say one thing and then when in person they change the price. Get everything in writing with them or take your business elsewhere cause you will get scammed. read more

Please dont go to this place . I arrived there at 183Street and 27 avenue in miami gardens at 10am for my brake pad replacement on my 2009 Nissan and it took over 4 hours to have the job done . After waiting over hours for my brakes to be done : one of the mechanics ruin my transmission shift gear. He said it didnt want to go on reverse but clearly he it was driven by the mechanic before the work was done : my car was in perfect shape before this. clearly there guys ruin my car and over 4hours i was told a different story. freaking thieves ......ms . pearl who works the front desk is nice but those guys who service the guys are not well experienced. read more

Went here twice both times with a Groupon. The only reason it got 4 stars from me is because the location is horrible.. But other than that I love this Midas. The first time I went there they had about 6 minutes till they closed and still took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. The & Groupon saved me from paying over $100 for an oil change. What an amazing customer service experience. I had 2 flats from nails, decided to get 4 new tires, but the wheel locks weren't working with my key. Carlos, the Master Automotive Technician, was my true Angel yesterday. I just moved here 2 yrs ago and to find a business that treated me with respect and who had moral concern was refreshing. He treated me like family. I just got a new transmission at the dealership and immediately upon picking it up it was making a loud strange noise. I brought it back to them the next day and they said they tightened something and then proceeded to tell me about different problems with the car. I brought my Nissan to Midas for a second opinion. In Carlos's finding the dealership never put in transmission fluid. Crazy to hear it, but how does it happen. He personally called them had them come out bring me a rental and tow my car back to be fixed by the dealership. In any other shop, business could have gone a different way. He was kind, concerned and honest. I thanked him for his findings, his respect and for his dedication to his craft. It was the brightest part of my day feeling a human connection in someone else's work. He asked for nothing return, but I know I will be returning for anything automotive related. My car was shaking very bad while driving. I decided to bring it here and I'm glad I did. The customer service was outstanding and the mechanics pay attention to detail. They were able to fix my car while letting me know of future problems that can occur if I don't look into certain things. I won't feel comfortable taking my car anywhere else. Biggest rip off there is. I came in with a groupon for an oil change and break pads. They told me that the total would be $129 for everything. I said great! What a deal. I get a call 30 min later saying that I need special break pads two rotators and some other bullshit that was going to cost me over $1000. They were able to get the price down to $850 for my two front breaks. Then when I went to sign the bill they had charged me $100 for the oil change itself and a bit more to rotate my tires. A service which I never agreed to. They saw that I knew nothing about cars and took full advantage while making me believe I was getting a "deal". I am so livid that I'm writing this as I'm still sitting here. I just want to get out ASAP and never come back. NEVER AGAIN. UPDATE: I sat there for 6 hours only for them to tell me that they are closing and do not have the parts available. "Leo" assured me multiple times that in order to take the rotator off my wheel they had to break it and I had to wait for the job to be complete, however he never told me that they did not have the parts for it until the shop was closed. I then made him put all the parts back and called AAA to tow the car elsewhere. When I saw them driving the car I asked the tech how this is possible without a rotator. He told me that they simply put all the parts back on, they never had to break anything in order to take it off the wheel. Leo straight up lied to my face multiple times saying they had to break it, just so that I would have to wait until their parts arrived. Realistically I just needed one rotator broken so I asked him not to take out the other. His answer was "we had to break it to take it off". 100% a lie. I ended up being able to drive off just fine and did not give them a dime. You've been warned. read more

This company makes money off of scamming customers. I went in this place today just to get a simple oil change. After they did courtesy inspection of my vehicle they said I needed to get my radiator flushed, my shocks were leaking and they couldn't show me a leak. They gave me a computer print out that said replace battery, That's when I knew this was a scam. I just had gotten my car out of the shop and had all those things done. And the battery that needed to be replaced was purchased eight months ago. So I went to autozone and had them test the battery and the computer said that the battery was good. Stay away from this place. The only thing that was good about them is the air freshener they give you. read more

This place is absolute trash, and they make the bulk of their money taking advantage of their customers. I went in to get a noise checked that was occurring when I pressed on the breaks and to find out about a check engine light. I took it in in january, and they told me it was my front rotors that needed to be replaced ($200), that air was getting into my engine ($300) and that, I kid you not, I needed a new gas cap ($30). Within 2 weeks the noise started again. Today, I take it back, and after waiting for 3 hours they tell me the noise is the rear drums, which after seeing, is something that should've been seen on my first visit. After enlightening them on this, the woman talking to me about my car makes it out like the noise is new and wasn't apparent when I first came in, and that I must've been wrong when describing it the first time. I immediately asked for my tires to be put back on, so I could leave this awful place. The employees fake actual empathy through repeating the phrase "We just want to take care of you" while simultaneously taking advantage of you. Stay away from this place at all cost and find a trustworthy non-chain repair place that actually care about treating customers like people instead of money trees just ripe for the shaking. read more
