    My car's steering system failed in Victoria, and the vehicle was towed to Glenoak Ford on…read more15/7/2024. A new part was ordered, but Glenoak refused to track it after it was shipped, and I was refused any info to track it myself. I was initially told it would be 10-14 days for the part to arrive. On another visit, I was told it might be 20-25 days, plus 2 days to install. It was critical I be notified when the part was delivered so I could adjust my travel plans. I was promised several times by the service department manager and employees that they would definitely notify me when the part was in. Despite my pleas and their promises, they never contacted me with that information. Actually, I heard from the service department only twice after my car was towed there; first, telling me what was wrong with it, and, second, that it was repaired. I was given a "courtesy car" for two weeks but was charged half its cost. They attempted to charge me $350 more than the initial quote, but relented when I protested. I was told there was a 2-year warranty on the new part, but this was not on any paperwork I received. Service techs did not secure the splash guard to the bottom of the car, so it fell and dragged for several kilometers before it could be taken off. Despite numerous letters and emails, Glenoak Ford has made no effort to acknowledge the company's lack of communication and its dismissal of my requests. There has been no offer to reimburse me or negotiate any unnecessary financial expenses I endured because of their broken promise to let me know when the part arrived. There has been no apology nor admission of wrongdoing from them. I do not recommend anyone, especially a senior, single woman, to take her car to Glenoak Ford for servicing because of its disrespectful customer service, broken promises, lack of compassion, and outright deceit.

Ben was very personable and understanding of my situation and was able to answer any questions my son and I had about the different options available. The coordination between Ben and Sam, who managed the financial aspect of our upgrade, was also seamless. Sam worked very quickly to get me approved for a vehicle I really liked and also got a good value for the vehicle I had to trade-in. Furthermore, he got me an even better rate a few days later for my lease as well as a warranty. Finally, he was able to arrange an ICBC representative to come in that same day and finalize the changeover of insurance and drove away feeling great about my new vehicle. Overall, it was a great experience with knowledgable and helpful staff that work quickly. I would highly recommend Glenoak Ford for anyone looking for a new vehicle. Lorie

    My husband and I have taken three Mercedes to this location for repair and didn't have any…read morecomplaints the first 2 times. I recently took my car there and got the run around on when the car would be finished - anywhere from 13 to 16 to 21 days. Dropped the car off on a Tuesday and it didn't go into the shop until Friday (got a text on the Friday afternoon before the long weekend) so I could have kept it for a couple of days and not used a rental car. They told me 3 times that the parts had come in and then I find out that some were on back order from Germany and that's why it took so long. No one mentioned this issue. They need to improve their customer service, work on customer expectations and communications. They were very proud of the fact that they would text me the progress of repairs but every time it was from a different person with more bad news. I lodged a complaint with BCAA about this and a note will be put on their file. I believe that something happened with this as suddenly the car was ready a week before the last projected end date. So maybe its good to complain, but a customer shouldn't have to. I must say the quality of workmanship was good, but their customer service left me wondering if we would take a car there again.
