I made a stop into this store after a very disappointing visit to the other Grocery Store nearby (Publix), which had 4 yellow peppers to choose from and all of which were wrinkly. I was so pleased to see not only a plethora of peppers but also how nice they looked. Okay so you're not coming to Winn Dixie for peppers? That's fine too! I find this store usually has everything I need stocked, easy to find, and it's clean. IMO it Would be a 5 star grocery experience if I didn't have to use self check out what feels like 80% of the time I'm in here (I can't stand this so it really feels like a 3.5 star experience to me).... They do usually have registers open but after a certain time (still can't figure out when that is!) it seems like they reduce the registers to self checkout only and tbh I'm just not a fan of that - maybe I'm a little old fashioned. Either way, this store is nice, usually not too busy. I will add that the Customer service is usually great when I do get the opportunity to interact with their staff.

This Winn-Dixie location is in the Lockwood Village strip plaza and has plenty of parking (always a plus). The store itself is clean and the staff was friendly. The store itself was also pretty well stocked, so I was able to do my shopping and find everything that I needed. I was also in and out in a relatively quick amount of time. It is good to see Winn-Dixie making a comeback by aggressively remodeling not only their stores, but their business model overall. I am especially pleased with their meat department. For a supermarket who billed themselves as "the beef people," they had lapsed by offering cheap cuts. Now they are putting an emphasis on their USDA Choice graded beef and are regularly doing some pretty good specials. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Winn-Dixie.

The ambiance isn't shiny and crazy like some of the other newer Asian markets in town, but if you can look past that, you'll find the cheapest, freshest, highest quality seafood and Asian imports around, plus they have a really awesome bakery with authentic fresh baked Chinese pastries and buns every day, dim sum to go, and an awesome little restaurant in the back with the authentic Chinese dishes and a little boba tea place too. The selection of imported drinks and frozen dumplings is awesome, and they do specials all the time if you buy enough groceries you get a free (I think it's like $50). They haven't been as popular lately cause of the newer Asian markets in town but I've been going here since I was a kid and it's an amazing place that deserves some love. Don't sleep on Mei's Supermarket!

They have a small menu, but they cook with their heart and you can definitely taste that! Both people behind the counter were very friendly and I felt at home. While some things are decently priced, customer service will be for all practical purposes non-existent. I guess that I prefer the Walmart Neighborhood Markets to the Walmart Super Centers, mainly the only thing that I will go in there is when I am by one and it is convenient or that I might need to grab a particular truffle mustard that they are the only one that I know that carries it. This Walmart Neighborhood Market is conveniently located on Alafaya Trail. It is convenient not only because it is on a main road, but is also convenient to the University of Central Florida (UCF) so I am sure that a lot of the students and faculty frequent these aisles. All in all, I will give this particular Walmart Neighborhood Market three stars. It is nothing special, however, but as I said, it is a Walmart Neighborhood Market and you can get in and out in a quick amount of time (though it is Walmart, so expect to check yourself out).

I honestly assumed they were more of a prestige grocery store like Whole Foods but the prices were comparable, if not cheaper, than Publix or Sprouts. The store itself is really easy to navigate, which made the whole experience feel quick and stress-free. You're not wandering around trying to find things, everything just flows well. What really stood out was their meat and seafood options, which had assorted seasonings, looked fresh, and were well-displayed. I bought a nice cut of salmon for only $10. It's a boutiquey grocery store where you can grab high quality ingredients without the hassle or crowds like you find at Trader Joe's. I plan on shopping there more frequently, especially for their hot food deals.
