We wanted to try something new and decided to try this place out since it had great reviews. When we arrived parking was decent since it was in a shopping. It was also connected to a market and deli which was great! The cashier was very helpful with the menu and very nice. We ordered the Garlic Naan Bread & Samosas for appetizers. And for our entrée we ordered the #6 Combo Kabab Plate & #12 Kibbeh Plate as well as a kids Kafta Plate. We also ordered drinks. The price was reasonable and they also had military discount Later, we received our appetizers and the Kids Kafta Plate and then waited for our entrée's. We then received our Kibbeh, but noticed nothing came with it, it was just the Kibbeh by itself. Then we waited longer and asked if my plate was ready. She replied that she thought all our food arrived already and also that we only got the Kibbeh appetizer not the plate. When going to the back the cook said he didn't see the other plate on the ticket. We then got free dessert and some appetizers, so that was a plus, but still had to wait for my plate. The food is good. The staff is immature . On my most recent visit, I came in and ordered my meal and then took my seat and patiently waited. The young girl behind the counter brought out I entrée from the showcase before she brought out the soup and still forgot additional items that I had ordered. Understanding this is not fine dining. My meal was very uncomfortable as the young girl began sweeping the dining room floor and male staff from the kitchen area were shouting a conversation back-and-forth with her. I find this extremely unpleasant and unprofessional and definitely will make me rethink future visits. It is understandable to want to have fun at work, but the customer should not be placed in between a conversation across the restaurant. read more

We had the intention of checking out if they had the knafeh pastry to make the very famous chocolate bar, and rumor has it that this store was selling the chocolate bars. Although the effort is much appreciated to make it, executing it was not very impressive in my opinion. For $10 per bar, the chocolate to filling ratio was not worth that price tag. Both the top and bottom layers were thick, and there was a very thin layer of the filling. We mostly tasted chocolate then the crunch, the two thick layers of chocolate definitely drowned any taste of pistachio which was slightly disappointing because we were looking forward to trying this viral sensation.  By the looks of it just through the display case, I had an inkling it would be that way, but truly the effort was there. We also got the Pistachio Baklava, and that was delicious! I liked that more than the chocolate. I guess I will have to continue my search for this coveted item, or just make it myself.  The store itself seemed like they had plenty of items to browse and look at, which next time we will take the time to peruse the store. read more

I don't normally review like this, but this is a special case, the other day, my family and I went about 45 minutes before closing, driving far away to get there, we found on this app, they had more than 4.5 stars! so we decided to go. Once we got there, the guy at the front said in a real bad mood, I'd we knew what to ask, we just got there and we wanted to see the menu, (next time we're leaving from a place like that), he said they were about to close, like pointing out they wanted to leave. My huge error was to ask for some food we wanted and this guy said everything will be ready in no more than 10 minutes. So we went into the small market to buy some stuff, just next door, 10 minutes later we were picking our food, and let me tell you, WE ARE SO SICK, stomach ache, all of us, diarrhea, and the food was not what we were excited about. I'm attaching the amount of fries as side order, but anyway, the worst experience ever! We discovered this mom&pop gem years ago, and are so pleased they survived the pandemic/economic crisis. In fact, they're bigger and better than ever! The 3-man team were so helpful and accommodating with my special diet needs (meat-based): As the counterman suggested, I ordered a double serving of their incredible (!!!) gyro meat which came with tzatziki sauce (OMG the BEST) and a Greek salad with house vinaigrette. My daughter ordered the Wednesday Special, Spicy Butter Chicken, and Arab rice, also pita. Everything, as usual, was fresh, hot, and delicious. The entire staff were friendly, smiling, cheerful, and eager to please. Middle Eastern Deli is our #1 favorite place to eat in Corpus. They have menu items and a "buffet" with daily specials. Everything looked good, and I selected the spicy butter chicken with lentil rice. It's a large serving. The chicken was very tender, and while there was spice, it was light and just added to the deliciousness of the meal. The lentil rice was really good. Highly recommend. read more

I would absolutely come back, and try some different things. I like that I can order some stuff by the piece. Makes it easy to try it out, and see if I like it. I had an order of meat dolma, one cabbage roll, some hummus, and 2 kibbeh balls. My review of the food. (4 stars for the food....since the service was average, and unless it's egregious, I don't usually deduct). Dolma ($3.99) Delicious, and stuffed with a greater proportion of meat over rice. They were obviously homemade, and not from a can. The order came with 5 dolma. Cabbage roll ($1.50 each). Awesomeness in a cabbage leaf. I'm going to order some to take with me. I drank the juices that ran out of it, and really wanted to lick the bowl. Hummus ($3.99) Almost like I make it, which means it almost rocked. I put a little more garlic in mine, but this was really good. Served with more pita than I needed....which often does not happen. Usually I have to ask for more bread. Kibbeh ($1.95 each) Almost decent. Somewhat over-fried, which detracted from the flavor of the outside part, but definitely not greasy. The seasoning was just a shadow of what I'm used to, and I had to salt them, so just missed it on the seasoning. That said, I'd rather have to salt my food, than complain about too much salt. Service - nice enough. And she was pleasant to the people who came through while I was sitting there. Except for one guy. The sign for the special said the lamb shank was served with rice and salad. The lady argued about giving him the salad....she should just have given it to him and then erased the "salad" on the board. Dude was ordering about $100 of food to go. He ended up walking out with nothing. Anyway, she was very nice to me on my way out when ordering my to go cabbage rolls. Gave me an extra one, since it was the last one.... Cleanliness - very clean. All the food was served on real plates, with real flatware. You order up at the counter, and are served at the table. Unfortunate that they use styrofoam for the drinks. Well, that's a wrap. I'll be back the next time I'm in Corpus. And will try the tabbouleh, and some of the meat dishes. read more

THE best Greek salad I've had in Corpus Christi! Actually, the best Greek salad I've had in the last year and a half (I've had the pleasure of living--for a short time--in four states the last year and half). The greens were fresh and crisp, the gyro meat had the perfect (in my opinion) consistency and flavor--DELOCIOUS, and the sauce (THE actually thing that makes a Greek salad "greek.") PERFECTION. I can only describe it as (red in color) tangy, tomatoe-ie, oily, seasoned goodness (I know, great culinary verbiage isn't it? :- D). Trust me, if you want an amazing Greek salad, give this place a try you wont be disappointed. Parking: in a little strip mall, you'll have plenty to choose from. Price: Very reasonable, my meal (Greek salad, gyro meat, extra feta, side of Greek salad dressing, pita on the side, and a drink) came out to be $13.and some change. I really enjoy going to the market here. I find many spices to complete my weird kitchen creations. I have been meaning to stop next door for a while to try the restaurant but always kept going. I am sure glad I stopped there last night. It was nearing close so I was lucky they had some of the special left. Very lucky! It was Butter Chicken and it was fantastic. I admit I like heat and spice and this was tame on the heat Dept. But the spice was on point and the chicken melted in my mouth. I had opted for Na'an which is extra so, cheapskate that I am, I stuck some of my chicken in my Na'an and rolled it up Corpus Style. I made it less than three miles from the restaurant before taking a bite of my Butter Chicken Burrito, lol. If you like good food and down to earth, good people stop by and try their food. They have a special each weekday and some tasty looking desserts. Thanks so much for the food! I cannot wait until it is Butter Chicken night again. PS- Sorry about no photo of the food.
