I was looking for somewhere quick and easy for lunch today and this spot was perfect! They have Poke bowls, yaki bowls and other appetizer type stuff! This isn't like the traditional poke bowl restaurants where you go down the line and select your toppings, all the toppings are pre-selected for you, you just have to pick protein and sauce. But I liked all my topping so I thought it was great. Food came out fast as well. The inside has plenty of tables and chairs, and I came at peak lunch hours (12-1) and it was not busy at all. By far the best beef bulgogi i have ever eaten in my life. And that's saying a lot because i travel 5 days a week all over the US for 23 years. I would recommend getting the meat bowl with poki aki (sp) sauce and the spicy Mayo. It's crazy good. I can't stop thinking about it while I'm on the road and day dreaming about it all day and night. Trust me, you'll love it. Now the ONLY bad review, the lady at the counter can be bitch sometimes. Sometimes she can be nice. She needs to learn customer service. I even think she could be the owner. Also, the inside is super hot during summer time so if you don't mind sweating while you eat then the place is perfect. My recommendation to the owner is to hire a nice man/women that knows how to greet and treat with a smile and be nice to customers and their business would double. read more

It's a small little spot. You order and pay at the counter. Menu is pretty straight forward. The poki bowls are set with ingredients. Of course you can opt out of certain toppings or add extras. They don't have gazillion toppings like other poki place. I order salmon poki bowl with avocado spring mix ponzu soy and Siracha mayo. Yum! Portion is good size. All the ingredients are fresh. The one thing this place is lacking is the rice. They use white rice, dry and flavorless. Sushi rice should be a better fit. Would I be back? Yes. Next time I'll skip the rice though. read more

This is my favorite lunch spot. The menu is direct and to the point, but your options (for the same type of plate) hold an array of various flavors depending on the sauce of your choosing. In time, I hope to try everything- but I've currently been faithful to their salmon poke, spring mix (veggies), everything on it, with the SPICY MANGO sauce. My heart leaps at the mere thought of it. If you're ever in town you got to give this eatery a try! I normally don't begin my review with the closing statement first but we really enjoyed our experience so much so I had to do it. The overall feel of the place is that of a laid-back, order and pay then wait kinda cafe. You self-serve your beverages from the lone soda machine; or tea and water if you prefer. We ordered chicken and beef yaki with white rice on both and mixed veggies which pleasantly came with a sprig of seaweed. We also ordered a 6-piece sweet and soy chicken wings. We finished our order with a plate of chicken gyoza. Both beef and chicken yakis were very tender and tasty. The slightly sweet sauce complimented the meat and rice and veggies very well. You want to eat all of it together if you can but individually they taste just as good. The wings were of good size with enough meat and definitely enough flavor and crunch. You could just order these or the 12-piece and be full. The chicken gyoza was good with enough doneness without being too hard. So Poki seems to be the trend now and this little place doesn't disappoint. Started off with Potstickers and while I prefer steamed, the deep fried was not heavy and it was delicious. I had Tuna Poki and it was a fantastic blend of flavors with your choice of greens and sauce along with other complimentary ingredients. Wife had the Chicken Yaki and she remarked how tender and tasty the grilled chicken was. Got all three for $21 plus some leftovers for later. Very friendly staff and a pleasant environment. When I went you couldn't choose the ingredients for the poke bowls, but I was surprised to find that sweet corn in the poke was really good. The seafood salad was mayonnaise-y, but I also liked it even though I normally despise mayonnaise. And the chicken wings were perfectly cooked and meaty. The only negative was that the wings don't come with fries and thus, is a bit pricey. Would definitely come back for the wings and the poke. read more

Fresh, delicious, and healthy(ish) depending on what you order. They have meat options for all you non-seafood eaters, the house made sauces for the bowls are great (especially when you mix the creamy coconut w/ the poki sauce, yum!). The bowls are a good size at a very reasonable price, and there are enough options for the toppings/add-ins so you get a nice range of flavors and textures, but not so many that it's overwhelming or you feel like you just had to make 20 decisions all at once. The crispy k wings are worth every perfectly sauced calorie and made to order so they're always fresh and hot, never soggy! The chef (she may also be the owner) is very sweet and kind, taking the time to answer all my questions, and even had me sample several of the sauces before I ordered (she was the one who suggested the sauce combo above). Also, this place is extremely clean, and the quality and flavors have been consistent every time we've dined, three things you hardly ever find at the majority of Corpus' restaurants.
