As usual, they called me to confirm this appointment. I confirmed and even asked if the office closes due to possible impending snow storm. "We don't cancel or close unless the doctors decide it's too dangerous". Cool, we don't cancel plans unless the same... Appointment day. We get kids ready to bring with us to the 11am appointment since school was cancelled, and yes, it's been snowing since last last night. No big deal. We get there at 11:06 am to check in. We are seated in area D, and it's the only area with people waiting, and packed. Didn't think anything of it and get settled in to wait. 40 mins later, I finally decide to ask about any clue when we will be seen, she says there's only ONE tech today and everyone waiting is waiting on her. Wow. Ok. I talk it over with my crew in tow, when the nice lady at the desk informs me that there's another tech coming in at noon. At this point the other people waiting overhear, and are also becoming impatient. Finally, at about 11:53 (remember appointment was at 11am) I decide to try and reschedule. My thoughts: -I don't mind waiting. But waiting for an hour to be called in for my 11am appointment, for a procedure they warned me lasts 45 minutes, and they told me to be ready with a full bladder for? -no one came out to check unless you went to ask. It sounded to me that everyone else waiting were also guessing as to why and when. Why couldn't they mention at check-in that they are down to one ultrasound tech and it could be a very long wait? I feel like his would save many peoples time and frustration, and gives a baseline expectation. Seems a bit inconsiderate, kind of unprofessional. So we left. Got up on a snow day, to wait an hour in a doctor's office to not be seen. Hopefully tomorrow I actually get seen. And going forward, hopefully some consideration could be exercised with procedure in front office when short staffed and these types of issues arise.

I just recently had my second lower back surgery and went to Ivy for PT for a foot drop issue due…read moreto nerve damage. My Neurosurgeon specifically wrote no lumbar or core PT on the order, and this was discussed with Matthew during my evaluation, so he gave me things to do at home to help my foot strength. A few days later during my 1st PT session with Matthew, he had me do core work, which was not the plan and was not approved by my doctor. Then about halfway through my appt. Daniel (who never introduced himself) came over and asked me to do more core work which I refused to do since my surgery was only 9 days ago at the time. He then had me put a tension band around my knees and asked me to do side steps. I asked, "how is this helping my drop foot" and Daniel asked me if I had hip surgery. This kid literally didn't even know why I was there and what type of surgery I had or what my issues were. To me that is very irresponsible for a physical therapist to be advising a patient when they don't even know what the issues are. Advocate for your health !!! I was contacted by Matthew to discuss my issues after he read this review and was told Daniel isn't even a licensed physical therapist.

I have family members…read morewho have had positive experience with the Chiropractor and one of the PT workers (younger male). Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. The afternoon PT worker was more interested in pushing his MLM that helping me with my treatment. At one point he took my number, I assumed it was for appointments purposes. Odd because the front desk has my contact information. Turns out it was to send me a video to push a "miracle oil". I decided not to return and to elsewhere. Best thing I ever did. The new practice was wonderful. We did a number of exercises, gave me a workout plan for home, discussed what to look for with footwear and suggested adaptive equipment my insurance would cover. What a difference! I feel sad that people come for help and they are being pushed a product. People who need PT are vulnerable, often elderly or young kids on sports teams. They need help getting back to their normal activities. It wasn't professional or at all ethical.

Very helpful + personable. It's been a pleasure & I consider him a friend at this point. Staff is incredible. There is a Tracy who works in the office who has proven to be my lifesaver. - I have many variables due to degenerative traumatic injury to spine + nerve pain due to spinal cord injury. Very helpful & does all she can... Honestly every staff member there is great + polite. And I've been in many different offices + practices over 8 years non-stop. Honest review + due credit.
