Books they don't have, you can often borrow from other libraries in the network. All of the librarians have always been friendly and helpful. Also there have been many times when my home printer wasn't working and it was a lifesaver to be able to come here and print my documents at a cheap price. It's also a relaxing place to just sit and read a book!

The staff were amazing -- very friendly and helpful. They guided me to the section I needed, helped me find and even hold the exact book I was looking for, and answered all my questions with a smile. Everything in the library worked perfectly, from the checkout process to the seating areas. The vibe of the library is calm and welcoming -- a perfect place to read, study, or just spend some quiet time.

i love this library and i've come here since i was a kid…read more they have a bunch of video games for switch, ps5, xbox, and ps4. when i was a kid they had wii games i'd rent they have a lot of different stuff even more niche stuff like a bunch of manga series and more they have an event calendar for different events at the library for stuff like interactive programs, stuff for black history month, themed activities like learning different art skills and crafts, stuff for pride month, etc. i've never been to any of the events but there's a bunch you can go to. they just added a "sensory space" which is a room upstairs you can fidget around and lay around in and it's pretty cool, the downside is a staff member has to stand in the room while you're in there to make sure nothing goes wrong which is awkward, so i don't go in. the teen section is nice i just wish they didnt get rid of the couch they have dvds, movies, all stuff like that you can rent being able to use the computers and printers is cool, and they just added a kiosk thing recently where you can check out a macbook air or a windows laptop by using your library card which is really cool if you wanna use a laptop. the worst part, which isn't the library's fault; every single time i've ever come in here, which is dozens and dozens of times over my whole life, there is ALWAYS a kid screaming and crying. every time i come, eventually while i'm there some kid starts having a meltdown while their parents let them and it's obnoxious, and the staff does nothing about it. if you actually need to study that might make it hard, but it's usually only one kid and they're usually downstairs in the kid area away from the study/work areas upstairs so at least you can tune it out.

The place is spacious with plenty of nooks to grab a desk and get into a stack of books/newspapers/magazines or the Internet. One can book a room to have a meeting with the library's approval. There are frequent meetings and lectures you can attend monthly. All events are listed online and are posted at the main desk. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. All branches have a wide variety of movies that are either in stock or can be reserved on CDs.

Only the residents or students of Freehold Borough can have access to this hidden gem. They are currently celebrating Bruce Springsteen's 70th birthday by having an exhibit celebrating is life. For those who don't know, was born in Long Beach, NJ but he spent his formative years in Freehold, NJ. He even played at the Elks Lodge in Freehold. It's worth checking out if you are a Springsteen fan. This library is not the most quiet. The fact that it is on the main street and it is a bit drafty, you must understand it is an old building. "Classic Carnegie" architectural style. Within these walls, there are copiers, public computers, newspapers and magazines, and storytime for children of all ages. The staff are nothing short of helpful and will give you the welcoming feel as they chit chat with you. Like all small libraries, the voices do carry so if you are in dire need to study and need absolute quiet, this would not be the place for you.

The parking lot at the main entrance has about 60 non-handicapped, non-temporary parking spaces, but is usually full in the afternoons and evenings. Overflow parking is available on the other side of the senior center and town hall, which are both in the same complex. Be prepared to yield to children, elderly pedestrians, and occasionally police cars.

Another New York Public Library in the NYPL system. Ive been to this location a few times…read morethroughout the past year and haven't had any issues. There isn't much to gloat about but they serve their purpose well. Besides the endless amounts of books you could also utilize their computers, printers, and copiers. They also have music and movies too which is pretty cool if you're looking for a cheap (free) way to expand your music collection. One thing that is nice about this location compared to others is that this library is actually really quiet and is kept that way unlike other locations which tend to be more of a hangout. This location seems to be clean but is dated and needs a facelift which a problem with most NYPL locations. There isn't much more to add. I will continue to use this location and suggest you do too!
