Outside their lobby they feature a high school at work from students. Very talented artists. While I'm not a Monroe resident, I can utilize their computers, relax and read their books or magazines, unfortunately I don't have borrowing privileges.

I love libraries. I…read moreconsider the North Brunswick Library my home library though I don't live in this town. I've been going to this library for many years. Though it's a smaller library compared to East Brunswick, there is something for everyone. They have a decent children's section with a small play and game area, computers for the patrons to use, a quiet study room, young adult section, tons of DVDs, games, books on cds, magazines, and of course books! Sometimes I like coming here and perusing the book titles for a good read. They even have foreign language books and movies. There is a lot of seating, tables, and places to study or get your work done. The staff is helpful and nice. If you are a member of another library in Middlesex county, you can have other books or items shipped to this library and pick it up when it arrives. Super convenient! If you need to print something in color, it costs $.25! Such a good deal! Black & white are $.10 each. If you're not a fan of rambunctious tweens, I would avoid going here between 3-4PM during the weekdays. Most kids just don't know how to act in libraries. Love this place and am thankful for all they do for the community.

i love this library and i've come here since i was a kid…read more they have a bunch of video games for switch, ps5, xbox, and ps4. when i was a kid they had wii games i'd rent they have a lot of different stuff even more niche stuff like a bunch of manga series and more they have an event calendar for different events at the library for stuff like interactive programs, stuff for black history month, themed activities like learning different art skills and crafts, stuff for pride month, etc. i've never been to any of the events but there's a bunch you can go to. they just added a "sensory space" which is a room upstairs you can fidget around and lay around in and it's pretty cool, the downside is a staff member has to stand in the room while you're in there to make sure nothing goes wrong which is awkward, so i don't go in. the teen section is nice i just wish they didnt get rid of the couch they have dvds, movies, all stuff like that you can rent being able to use the computers and printers is cool, and they just added a kiosk thing recently where you can check out a macbook air or a windows laptop by using your library card which is really cool if you wanna use a laptop. the worst part, which isn't the library's fault; every single time i've ever come in here, which is dozens and dozens of times over my whole life, there is ALWAYS a kid screaming and crying. every time i come, eventually while i'm there some kid starts having a meltdown while their parents let them and it's obnoxious, and the staff does nothing about it. if you actually need to study that might make it hard, but it's usually only one kid and they're usually downstairs in the kid area away from the study/work areas upstairs so at least you can tune it out.

The parking lot at the main entrance has about 60 non-handicapped, non-temporary parking spaces, but is usually full in the afternoons and evenings. Overflow parking is available on the other side of the senior center and town hall, which are both in the same complex. We booked a room for 2 hours and then another friend booked the room for the next 2 hours. The librarian came in - Marry, and told us she CANCELED our second reservation, once we checked in for the second reservation, and told us we had to leave, because another group had the room... We were not being disruptive and were simply studying when she interrupted and was so RUDE. She really must have been having a bad day and took it out on three 20-something-year-olds. Extremely rude and unkind. Do not go here waste of your time and not even a great space! AND you have to bring your own HDMI cord... weirdd

Only the residents or students of Freehold Borough can have access to this hidden gem. They are currently celebrating Bruce Springsteen's 70th birthday by having an exhibit celebrating is life. For those who don't know, was born in Long Beach, NJ but he spent his formative years in Freehold, NJ. He even played at the Elks Lodge in Freehold. It's worth checking out if you are a Springsteen fan. This library is not the most quiet. The fact that it is on the main street and it is a bit drafty, you must understand it is an old building. "Classic Carnegie" architectural style. Within these walls, there are copiers, public computers, newspapers and magazines, and storytime for children of all ages. The staff are nothing short of helpful and will give you the welcoming feel as they chit chat with you. Like all small libraries, the voices do carry so if you are in dire need to study and need absolute quiet, this would not be the place for you.

They have computers to find your books and they have general use computers. They have a large selection of movies to rent, CDs, some video games, and some comics and graphic novels. There's even a section to buy bargain books and usually some free advance copy or trade books lying around. The librarians are friendly, there's a few tables to read or do work at, and they have late hours at the beginning of the week. Overall, this library is small but resourceful.
