midgard on hwy.81 in anderson is a clean well kept facility. the complaint that i have is the lack of security of your storage items. the gated facility they advertise is no such thing. the security gate has been left open during all business hours for over 3 months. this is not a good thing. you would think they would reduce the prices but instead keep raising them. poor business action. read more

Went to pickup U-Haul I reserved last night and was met with a virtual AI manager in the lobby who couldn't give me the keys to the truck since they are virtual, and are now sending me to another location. Whenever the actual human property manager isn't here there are virtual "assistants" who can't actually help you. read more

Since Midgard has taken over the customer service totally sucks and they charge an extortion fee if you need to talk to someone at the site and you are talking to someone on a monitor... This isn't the only extortion fee, there are many more such as requiring you to use there locks and then charge you a monthly extortion fee for it.... SMH...WT? read more

Zero star rating. Be sure to memorize the fine print in your contract. Have to pay extra month for not giving 30 day notice. Moved out and unit is empty and I received text saying I didn't secure my unit so they did it for me and the charges will be added to my account. What the devil are they going to steal when it's empty? Also like another review I read on here, my rent went from $120 per month to $240 after two months. Beware!!!! they are buying up all the local owned storage units and raising rates with corporate style customer care which is none at all. My into has doubled since they have taken over. They customer service sucks and all they want is your money for minimal care. Find a local owned one so many better places then this crap company read more

I was with them for almost 6 months and they raised the unit rates every 2 months on the dot! I started out at 220 by the 5th month I was at $455 for 2 units. If you want your price to change every 2 months on your storage unit go with them. By the 6th month I'm out but got another email saying they were raising their prices AGAIN.. but I won't be in there to see what that price was going up to. I would hate to see how much in a year what rates every 2 months would go up to. read more

my rating is zero! they have so many hidden fees and Jack run up every chance they get. My rent has gone up there $25 every six months since they took over from the previous owners. I ended up being late two months and they put my unit in Hawk and then cut my lock off and replaced it with one of theirs. I then paid my bill and they then took their lock off and replaced it with a four digit combo lock. I left that lock on there and apparently they replaced it again with an ordinary lock and charge me for it without telling me. Also, my homeowners covers it and I told him that it does and they told me I had to get a form from the insurance company stating so and I forgot so they charged me, a premium for a policy and a policy. Do not ever rent with these people you will be sorry I promise you they have been nothing but a pain and a headache. They're only out for the Benjamins to get what they can. It's really the worst. They also have an automated online virtual person and she is so very aggravating. And she told me I had to call customer service. She couldn't take care of it herself. Isn't she customer service isn't that why she's there talking to me getting taking my payment.? absolute BS runaround. Never again never again. read more

Had an online reservation for July 14 to August 14 When my daughter checked in she was told she had to pay for all of August which wasn't explained in the reservation, she was moving out prior to the end of August and she was then told she was being charged for all of Septemberfor not giving 30 day notice! ‍ Hey genius you had the notice when we said we were reserving for July 14 to Aug 14 you now have notice we are moving out Aug 14 and we paid 2 extra weeks. When we called and disputed the charge they said they can't do anything until management is notified. FYI still waiting for a call from "management! Bunch of cowards! I would not use this place on a bet or if it was free! Next stop BBB I wonder how many other students or their parents are being ripped off by this horrible place! read more

Midgard is one of the best storage facilities I have ever seen, and the prices are very reasonable, we needed to store a lot of stuff while in the process of moving, and it was just so convenient, and clean, and they even gave me the name of a moving company that did most of the heavy moving for us, and even their prices were extremely reasonable, I just can't imagine going to another storage facility than Midgard. I also wanted to give a shoutout to Samantha for her amazing help during our move, she was very helpful and friendly, thanks again to Samantha, and everyone at Midgard storage! read more

Mid April I reserved a 5x5 unit for my son for $44 plus required insurance and fees. Their website wouldn't allow me to select a future date of May 1st so I paid for 2 weeks that I couldn't use. On May 1st, my son's first visit to the location, he discovered the unit was too small and asked the attendant to upgrade to next size up. 5x10 was nearly 3 times the price at $120 per month. My son agreed, but did not move in. Midgard charged my card on file an additional $101. My son called me to let me know the price and suggested and alternate plan. I called the office within the hour to let them know we will not be occupying the unit and was told they do not refund. I reminded them that we did not occupy the unit and it was only an hour prior that he even inquired about it. I asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager, Sattler Van Dyne, is too busy to talk to customers but Samantha took my number anyway. A few days later, after no response, I called again and was given Mr. Van Dyne's email address. Again, reminded that Mr. Van Dyne is too busy to speak with customers.(what kind of management is that?) I emailed Mr. Van Dyne a request for a refund of the $101 charged 1 hour before I notified them that we did not need the unit. His delayed simple response was "we do not offer refunds. Thank you." I wanted to post my experience for those considering Midgard Storage or Reliant Management Company. They are clearly not customer service oriented as they claim on their website. The "manager" is clearly not well schooled in management. I'm guessing he is benefiting from nepotism and not suited for the position. I hope he enjoys my $150+ which will cost Midgard my future business as well as everyone else's that I encounter in the Anderson area. read more
